Do yourself a favor and order the Rotisserie Chicken Sandwich… it was so good it almost made me cry! My husband and I came here for the first time and loved everything about this place. Ambience and service were fantastic, but the food, good lord, the food! Everything we tried was delicious including the mussels, pork nachos, and the Wales Street salad. And yes, we were way too full for dessert, but in proper American fashion, we tried the irresistible homemade vanilla ice cream with homemade brownies mixed in, and our food comas were so worth it! And all at a reasonable price. We’ll definitely be back!

Spent one night in Vermont for a little snowboarding get-away with the boyfriend. This place was absolutely delicious. The rotisserie chicken was mouth-watering yummy. I definitely recommend eating here.

As Paul and I continue our eating adventures in Vermont, I cannot help but to reflect on the fact that we have yet to have a mediocre(or worse) meal. Today’s lunch at Table 24 extended our list of culinary delights. We arrived for a late lunch on a Wednesday afternoon, opted to wait for a booth(hard chairs after a long hike cause too much pain), and were seated after a five minute or so wait. Our server was both friendly and attentive. She had a sing-songy voice that would ordinarily grate on my nerves, but I found myself in such a good mood that my feathers remained unruffled. We started with the egg rolls, based on the rave reviews. I found them to be a bit of a greasy mess. Paul and I both ordered burgers. He went with the Cowboy Burger, which was one of the specials, with a side of coleslaw. He enjoyed the burger, but he was less than impressed with the slaw. I tried it and found it slightly dry, but I did appreciate the incorporation of dill. I ordered the Long Trail Burger, partially because I love mushrooms and Bleu cheese, and partially because I had just finished hiking a healthy portion of the Long a Trail. I opted for the sweet potato fries, which turned out to be a good choice. I requested my burger medium, and although it was closer to medium well, it was still good. Tip: If you order a burger, ask for some extra napkins, as they are quite messy. All and all, we enjoyed our lunch at Table 24. If I return, I will try the Wales salad.

Very appealing rustic restaurant and bar. Stopped in for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. My husband had the Cajun Burger with sweet potato fries. I opted for the Arugula and Spinach Salad and a bowl of Shrimp and Corn Chowder. Both were great. So was the service — very friendly and prompt.

Table 24 is a good place to dine in Rutland(along with Little Harry’s and Roots). I will definitely return because of the good locally-sourced food and attentive service. On my last visit I ordered the Seafood Stew which I thought lacked the deep seafood flavor I would expect in such a dish. I would not order it again. The filet was good for the«steak and potatoes» fan, as was the pot roast dish. I believe the desserts are made in house and I commend them for making the effort. I ordered the chocolate cake but ate only half of it because I found the frosting not very choclaty, the filling was grainy, and the cake was gummy. Not what you’d like to achieve in a home-baked dessert. I know a lot of people like the skillet chocolate cookie, but everyone at my table found it to be too sweet. So skip the dessert and order another skillet cornbread!

All of our food was extremely fresh, well seasoned and delicious. We had the : — rotisserie chicken sandwich — mayo is beyond good — goat cheese burger — fantastic — Brussels sprouts — egg rolls– must order — wedge salad & house salad — both very fresh and really good, great price too — potato pancake– pretty good but would try something else Their menu is really interesting and I’m looking forward to trying some other dishes in the near future.

This and Roots are a dead tie for my favorite dinner restaurant in VT. The Table 24 classic chicken is amazing — be sure to ask for a side of spicy ranch dressing and order some sweet potato fries. The pork nachos are not too good — the cheese is like velveta, wish it had Vermont cheddar on it.

So, this place is off the chain. The skillet corn bread and maple butter is ridiculous. The pork tenderloin is a do not miss as is the skillet cookie. We sat at the bar since we totally dropped the ball and didn’t make a res. Great ambiance and the staff is more than friendly. 24 pounds heavier after this meal… But so worth it.

Excellent bisque and buffalo shrimp. Great atmosphere in a nice bar scene. Make reservations for peak times but you can sit at the bar as well. Friendly staff with three tvs to watch sports as well. Horseshoe shaped bar with wooden beams exposed makes for a nice atmosphere. Prices reasonable for quality.

We found this place after watching a show at the Paramount Theater. Very happy we did. Food was delicious, service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was warm. The burger was gourmet and the dessert was amazing. We’ll be back!

3.5 stars. All we wanted was the cornbread!!! We arrived for a late dinner, put in a quick request for cornbread, and they said we were lucky to have the last one… only for the waitress to return to tell us that the last cornbread they had was burnt and we couldn’t have it. how disappointing. Now I’m just dreaming of the what could have been cornbread… I digress. My friends and I had the pork tenderloin(probably the best dish), salmon risotto(which I thought was a little bland. and more importantly, why did they cut up the salmon into small pieces? makes me think that they were using some of the peices for other things? i would prefer to have one large piece…), the steak salad(again, same thing. why was the steak chopped up into little pieces instead of one large piece? and the chimmichurri was lacking in flavor) and lastly, the Salmon and brussels sprouts(the salmon flavor was offputting). All in all. food was okay. Service was very lovely though. The waitress was very nice and friendly — especially with our table being the last to leave(whoops).

We often stop in here for a great wine selection while visiting family in the area. We sit at the bar and the bar staff is always very knowledgeable and helpful in picking out wines. Although I haven’t eaten here in a couple of years, and can’t recall what I ordered, I remember loving the food! I know we have other friends who stay in Killington throughout the winter and they will always make the drive to Rutland for a meal here. If I get back here to eat, I will update this review with specifics. But I do highly recommend it for food and drink!

Very good food and a nice environment — I can definitely understand how they won so many Best Of. awards! My friend and I were in town for work and went for dinner our second night in Rutland(based on a suggestion from the staff of the Hampton Inn). They are also on Open Table for reservations, which is a big bonus for me. It was a Monday night, so half-price glasses of wine were the special. Their by-the-glass list was not extensive, but had a nice variety. Their by-the-bottle list looked very nice. They also featured a few local beers on tap and my friend was very pleased. The chicken tortilla soup was excellent — a little heat, but not overwhelming, and great flavor. We also had the beer-cheese with tortilla chips and it was really good. Very generous portions of both! My friend had the filet and raved about it. I had the pea and ricotta ravioli and it was light and tasty, without any heavy sauce, just a bit of broth and shredded parmesan. For dessert, we had the chocolate cake — good, moist cake with terrific, rich, dark chocolate frosting. I would definitely return to Table 24 if I’m in the area again!
