Affordable Trenchless & Pipe Lining

When my outside sewer line backed up and spewed crap onto my neighbor’s driveway, I needed an immediate service call. I contacted 3 of the big names in Sacramento and finally met with each of the reps. The rep of each company took a camera look down the pipe & we could see roots at various sections along the pipe. Each rep gave me a quote on replacing the sewer pipe with a new one estimated from $ 3930 to $ 7178, but 2 of the 3 said I had to get the city involved for different permit reasons. I had the city come out; not necessary. Not one of these companies suggested I cut out the roots & just clean out the pipe. Then I called Affordable Trenchless and met with Brent who suggested I did NOT need a new pipe but just a good cleaning for under $ 500. I could not believe his honesty… AMAZING. No permits, no new sewer, no city involved, no damage to my neighbor’s driveway (as suggested might happen by one of the other companies if the sewer line got replaced). After meeting with Brent, I spoke with the owner (Ryan) and expressed my gratitude for the honesty & integrity of his company and rep. I will never call another plumbing company as long as I own my home and will have Affordable Trenchless come out each year for an updated inspection. If I ever get asked who to call for plumbing service, I will always recommend this company.

I am confirming all the testimonials that Ryan at Affordable Trenchless is honest, responds quickly, repair work charges are reasonable and does not charge if he doesn’t do any repair work! How many companies are like this? He came out to the property. He didn’t charge me because his snake camera could only go up to 50 feet and I needed 100 feet. He told me I needed to fix the clean-​out fixture; he sent someone out to do the repair. I called Ryan to find out how much I owed him. He said ‘nothing’! He said «I can’t charge you if I didn’t do anything»! We went around and around but he insisted that there was no charge for the clean-​out repair or his time! Hands down, they are the best!

The first time I used Affordable Trenchless it was crisis time – nasty overflowing sewer. Ugh. They were responsive and got it cleared very quickly, explaining what they were doing and showing me the snaggles of tree roots they pulled out of my sewer. They were efficient, courteous, easy to deal with and the price was extremely reasonable. I now have them come once a year just to run the camera line down the sewer to make sure no sneaky roots are trying to make a comeback. I recommend this company without reservation.

Brent came out to my house after we had a huge flood from a toilet running all day and a pipe being blocked. He was extremely professional and courteous and helped me in collaboration with the city (although he had no obligation to do so). After spending close to an hour with me helping me through the process and advocating for me as the homeowner, he did not charge for the inspection and even called a couple of times to check in to see if everything was ok. I recommend Brent and Affordable Trenchless to EVERYONE! You should absolutely give them your business. Brent went above and beyond, and will be my first call every single time for outdoor plumbing issues.

I cannot even begin to express my sincere gratitude and thanks to Ryan at Affordable Trenchless for his kindness to my family and our situation. When we purchase our house over 4 years ago it came with a disclosure advising there were roots on our sewer pipe and a quote from The Trenchless Company for $ 5000 to replace the sewer line. Over the next four years our sewer line backed up 3 times, however my father in law who is a retired plumber was always able to snake it back open and pull out a small amount of roots.
Last week our sewer line backed up again and for some reason the access cap in our front yard did not pop, and sewage filled our bathrooms. We ended up calling Roto Rooter out to unclog the line, which they charged an outrageous $ 235 fee. The Roto Rooter techs then showed my wife a still image from their snake camera of our line, clogged with roots, stating it was an emergency, and quoting us $ 7800 to replace the line.
I contacted several companies to request quotes, all which were unavailable to respond until the weekend. The last company I called was Affordable Trenchless, who responded IMMEDIATELY to check our sewer line and give us a quote. We didn’t even need to be home at the time.
My wife, however, was home, and met with Ryan. Ryan put his snake camera down our line and showed my wife the live video footage which showed our line was COMPLETELY CLEAR of tree roots. Not a single one! There was one section of the line about 40 feet from the house that had aged and a small root branch had started to come through where two end pieces met. Ryan told us that Roto Rooter had likely shown my wife a still image before they cleared the line, which was very misleading.
Ryan told my wife (and later myself when I called to talk to him about it) that there was no reason at all to replace the entire line based off one small area where a root was coming through. He said the root that came through likely branched off over a two year period which eventually caused the back up we experienced. He gave my wife a box of industrial root killer (not the garbage you get at Home Depot we had been using for years) FOR FREE, and said to dump it in the line once every TWO YEARS and we would not have any issues or a need to consider replacing the line for at least 10 YEARS! Ryan then quotes us an incredibly low price to replace the line, if we were hell bent on doing it anyway for the peace of mind.
I cannot thank Affordable Trenchelss enough for their help and honesty. If I even have sewer problems in the future I will not go anywhere else!

Had two plumbing companies tell me that my plumbing couldn’t be fixed without an $ 8000 job. Called affordable translucent and pipelining. First guy out was Brent the foreman. He put a camera down the larger pipe lines of my house. He gave me his opinion of what he thinks could be done to fix the job. The next day I got a call from Ryan the owner of the company. He said he would like to take a look at the job and give his opinion. He gave me his opinion of the job if he couldn’t get my lines unplugged. He didn’t have the snake he needed so he called in three more guys on a truck there in the area we had the right equipment. It was a total of five guys here. After he snaked my lines out they were clear and working. The whole thing cost me $ 100.
I wouldn’t think about calling anyone else but affordable trenches and pipelining for any plumbing problem.

First and foremost, these guys were the most upfront and honest dudes I have ever come across in the plumbing business! They really really know what they’re talking about and for this, I will never use another plumbing company other than Affordable Trenchless & Pipe Lining ever again.
My grandma (who is 80 years old) was having some problems with her toilets backing up. I figured it was a simple matter of the pipe needing to be snaked. But I don’t have that kind of equipment so we decided its better to leave it up to the pros. We called a couple companies and they came out to look at the problem. Bonney Plumbing and Rapid Rooter both told me the entire sewer needed to be replaced. They found that the pipe goes under the driveway to the main so the driveway would need to be jack hammered and replaced too. Already I’m thinking this is going to be a pretty penny, they both quoted me in the 5−6k dollar range for parts and labor. My grandma doesn’t have this kind of money so I decided to shop around some more.
A neighbor had mentioned they used Affordable Trenchless before and they were so pleased with their service that they will not do business with anyone else. I gave them a call and sure enough when the guys came out, they camera the sewer and find that a 15 ft section of the pipe is showing signs of tree roots growing through. He showed me on camera exactly where the roots were coming through and said theres no way the entire sewer needed to be replaced. I saw it for myself the rest of the pipe was still in good shape. I told them that my Grandma was tight on money at the moment so replacing that section would have to hold off for a couple months but the guys said no worries, they ended up jetting the pipe with their power washer. This thoroughly cleaned the pipe to buy us a couple months of time before the toilets started backing up again. These guys quoted me less than a ¼ of the price the other companies were trying to charge me and the driveway wouldn’t have to be replaced either. For their honesty and expertise I will not use anyone else for plumbing services ever again.

Ryan came out today for a sewer inspection, as I was having problems with roots. This was my second estimate for the problem, the first company quoted me $ 10,000 to replace pipes under the house as well as the water supply line. Ryan throughly explained what was happening with the roots, and replacing the pipes would not solve the problem. There was no charge for the inspection, and he saved me $ 10,000. Ryan was very pleasant to deal with, over the top customer service. Highly recommend using this company, hard to find honest businesses to deal with.

These guys are the best! I recently bought a new house, of course not knowing the sewer cleanout had a root issue. When it backed up the first time, I called another plumbing company. They cleaned it out (so I thought), and quoted me at least $ 1,000 to install a new cleanout. I decided to call Affordable Trenchless. Brent came out, took a look with his camera, cleaned it out again, and explained the problem much more accurately than the previous company. They quoted me several hundred dollars less, worked with my schedule, and stuck to their word. They offered a great solution to what was a messy, stressful problem. Thanks, Brent!

Excellent. Ryan and his crew have done two jobs for me. On a follow up due to a tenant clogging the drain they responded quickly and solved the problem. Highly recommended. I had 2 great experiences with them. They replaced my root invaded orangeburg sewer line in 2013 for $ 1,000 less than a competitor quoted me. They did a great job, and I called them back this week (2 years after the sewer line work) to report a problem with toilet backing up and I wasn’t sure if it was related to the new warrantied sewer line. Ryan came out to check it out, put a camera down the line and found no problems with the sewer but he discovered the toilet had a bad flapper and he fixed it for no charge. It’s hard enough to find a good, honest and reasonably priced contractor but someone who will come out and spend the time to thoroughly research an issue and then repair a toilet flapper at no cost is priceless!

I recently bought my first home, and I am a first time home buyer. It can be scary running into major issues with your home especially if you are new to it. The first time I used the shower in the house, when I came out to the driveway I noticed that the sewer cleanout drain was overflowing down my driveway into the street. I called Mr. Rooter and they came to give me an estimate. Mr. Rooter charged me $ 300 to snake the pipe and put a camera down there. And then they wanted to charge me to tell me exactly in the yard where there was a problem.
I later heard about Affordable Trenchless and Pipe Lining (aka «Y Dig»)…and decided to go for a second quote. Mr. Rooter quoted me at $ 4,000 and told me I needed my entire pipes taken out and have a new trenchless system installed. When Ryan (the owner of Y Dig) came to inspect. He was on time, and snaked the pipe for free with camera. Now THAT is a free estimate. He told me exactly where the problem was, and told me it was an easy fix and that I do not need a trenchless lining. He was professional, honest, and affordable. His company even posts all the videos of the finished work on YouTube. He didn’t try and pressure me into spending money, and even suggested various options how I can get it repaired.

We did quite a bit of shopping around for sewer line replacement, and the aptly named Affordable Trenchless was the lowest bid by several hundred dollars.
We were very happy with the service provided by their construction workers and also their office staff. They did a great job of backfilling and cleaning up the work site.
They were also able to replace the sewer line under our sidewalk without breaking it, which none of the other companies we talked to were even willing to consider.
Overall A+ I wish more contractors were like Affordable Trenchless. If they did windows and roofs too I would never call anyone else.

In the sewer inspection business, there are some very opportunistic and dishonest companies that will «identify» issues that need repair, but which really don’t. In other words, they’re a lot like the stereotype of a mechanic – fixing things that don’t need fixing, just to make an extra buck. That’s why it’s so important for us Realtors to have experienced and trustworthy companies we can rely on – that will scope the line, videotape it and leave us with evidence of their findings. Affordable Trenchless is the only company, in my experience, that provides honest assessments. I now use them exclusively, and when a different company is used by a buyer on the other side of my transaction, I always insist on a second opinion from Affordable Trenchless. 5 stars.

Working in the world of real estate you come across good and not so great contractors. Affordable Trenchless has exceeded my expectations on multiple occasions. Their office staff, Karen and Jennifer are beyond nice and always accommodating and inspectors, Brent and Ryan know what they are doing! I will never use the «other» Trenchless company again.

Called them to get my sewer line fixed. They promptly returned calls and came out the next day. They treated us with care and respect and made sure we understood what our sewer problem was and the options for fixing it. They even post video of your sewer line on their website so you can see the issue first hand. They even came out after fixing our sewer line to check on an unusual sound we were hearing. Again they were prompt and even rearranged their schedule to come to our house to address our concerns. FYI, there wasn’t an issue. The sound was due to no water in our bathtubs ptrap. Ryan diagnosed it in a couple of minutes and now everything is perfect. I’m very pleased I found these guys. They are doing business the right way and it shows. Great customer service!

I have made an offer and need inspections done on an older home (1938) in Sacramento. I was really worried about the sewer line as there is a mammoth tree in the front of home right near where the lines would be. The crew showed up, Found no cleanout access, went up on roof and started a video inspection of line. He explained every step, took time out to show me elbows, slight buildup, different types of pipe, and prognosis. I got an education, ease of mind, and honesty at an unexpectedly super low price.
The bid came back to add the cleanout/​cleaning and I thought they left out zeros, but i was wrong. Super affordable and obvious experts in their field. I will let you know how the cleanout install and cleaning go but from what I have seen so far, I would go with no-​one else.
