Samantha is doing my nails now and did a really awesome job! I was so glad to find her ! she is fast & does super good work!

I’m sorry but I will not come back here. The only reason I’m giving two starts is because they were at least friendly. But the guy must have put 5 or 6 coats on my nails (gel manicure… that’s just obsessive and too much) and it took about an hour and a half to do my nails. On top of it, they told me over the phone gel manicure is $ 20 but for some reason when I gave them a debit card as a form of payment my total came out to $ 30. I didn’t get any extras on my nails or anything. I’m never coming back

Mandy is awesome! I got gel tips with gel polish. I needed a fill before the polish even started looking ugly, got to love gel polish. Mandy is my go to for all my nail needs, and if you go to her she will become your go to gal too.

Mandy at Aj nails is wonderful! She listens and checks with you throughout the entire process. She is fast at the parts she can be and through in others. Always love my nails when she does them.

So this place is really nice and clean, the women doing my nails was really kind… BUT, for the price, I expected a lot better. It was 60 and I will say it was the worst shellac I have ever had. My toes were good but definitely not the best.
Problems–
1. She didn’t file my nails
2. She didn’t paint to the nail bed
3. There was gel on my fingers, literally on my fingers and running down the nails.
4. She didn’t lotion or massage my hands because they started to get busy.
4. She asked me for a cash tip when I wanted to tip via credit card payment
5. I left my phone here and called to ask if they had it– they hung up on fiancé and when I called back, they said «this is a nail salon, what do you want lady?»

You need to come here! Call ahead and make an appointment with Mandy. She’s fabulous and I don’t trust anyone else with my nails. She’s hilarious and such a sweetie!

I loved this place! The salon is very clean and they did a great and thorough job on both my pedicure and manicure! It did take and little longer than usual but it was a nice change from some places that get you in and out the door in 30. The massage chairs are some of the most comfortable I’ve experienced and they offer complimentary water or even wine! I will definitely be returning in the near future!

This place is nicely situated in east Sac. The reviews were good so I decided to check it out as the third trimester in my pregnancy is coming to a close. I chose a basic spa pedicure which was quite luxurious for just $ 22 plus tip. I was offered a complementary beverage which is always a nice perk. I am pleased with the experience, it was relaxing and a great deal for the price. My only complaint it the chair was not as comfortable as I was expecting-​the neck rest didn’t suit me well and I was uncomfortable on my neck. Other than that, I would recommend this place for a nice mini retreat.

My 1^st and last visit to AJ’s Nail Spa. This whole experience was a train wreck. The water was way too hot. Then they left it running and walked away. I was looking at the menu and didn’t notice it overflowing over the whole salon. Then my chair wouldn’t work, probably due to an electrical short due to all the water. They kept looking at me like it was my fault. I know everyone has off days so I decided to wait for the end product for my review. That was terrible too. I could have done a better job on my own.
I wanted to like this place. It has a nice atmosphere and a great selection of colors. The chairs are super fancy too, but doesn’t do much good if they don’t work. Total waste of time and money.

I am a Bay Area transplant. AJ’s was recommended by my barber (Seanny of Exclusive Hair Design).
All I have to say is that Mandy has been delightful. She knows exactly what she is doing from my Spa Pedicure, Fill to Eye Brow Waxing. I commend good work and reward it with exclusivity and loyalty.
I currently have a standing appointment with Mandy and applaud AJ’s for their great customer service (which includes a variety of drink options to chose from while you get your nails done).
Kudos yet again and I will be a repeat customer. The quality of work should speak for itself as I am indeed a walking advertisement.

Just had a $ 30 gel manicure from Mandy. Shy at first, she is kind and really focused on making the gel polish perfect. She also explained why she leaves a little space at the cuticle (apparently it helps the gel stay on longer). She put up with me asking for extra cuticle work, as mine are busted from my job. I will definitely be back and will ask for Mandy. Also, the interior of the salon is very up-​to-​date, which is a plus. Let’s see how long I can get the gel to last!

This is my second time getting a Mani-​Pedi at this Salon. Their customer service is very good, and they make you feel very comfortable. Mei did my Mani-​Pedi yesterday and she did a great job. She was very attentive and every time she did something she would ask me if I feel comfortable. I’m glad I found this place!

Hands down, worst mani-​pedi experience ever! And I’m really not super high maintenance when it comes to such things. It was bad from the get go when I put my feet into the scorching hot foot soak… so hot I could not keep them in for more than seconds at a time… and I like some pretty sit water… seriously, I think we’re talking 1^st degree burn territory here… she tried to add cold water, but still just WAY too hot. I paid for the «luxury» pedi… nothing luxury about it… and the massage was over so fast I hardly realized it had happened… Oh and then she nicked my toe with the clippers… ow…I know, mistakes happen… but…
I was really excited by the prospect of a glass of wine with my mani-pedi…I thought it might make up for the rest… but an airplane bottle of Sutter Home in a red solo cup just doesn’t cut it… I know it’s free… but if you’re going to bother to offer wine… offer WINE… otherwise, don’t!
Lastly, the manicure… ill let the photos speak for them selves… this was 2 days post-​manicure… why’d I even bother? Never again.

Great Nail Salon! Came here today, and it was my first time! :)) Great customer service & a perk is that they provide you with one complimentary drink of your choice! Soft drink, water, wine! LOVE IT! Prices are reasonable for Midtown Sacramento!
My manicurist was «Cee Cee»! She was awesome! I did the deluxe pedi & a gel manicure! Fantastic job & I will indeed be back!

Just an OK nail salon tucked away near Alhambra and Folsom Blvd.
They are a bit pricier than normal salons. They charged me $ 30 for gel. Most places are $ 25. So plus a $ 5 tip, I’m spending $ 35 on a manicure — with that kind of money, I’m expecting a) to be ridiculously happy and excited about my finished nails and b) for the manicure to last, like all month long.
I’m a little disappointed in my nails, not because the guy didn’t do a good job (he did) but I picked a ballerina pink out of the samples and the finished job is like stupidly sheer. Like, you can’t even tell they’ve been painted. I hate when the examples don’t match the finished product. Secondly, they didn’t have an air conditioner running so it was not only hot and stuffy, but massively smelly from the fumes.
Overall they were OK. I might go back if I’m in a pinch and get a regular manicure. I’m not spending $ 35 on a gel manicure again, that’s ridiculous.

Located on Alhambra along the same row that you’ll find Café Morocco. Parking lot parking.
It’s a bright Asian shop with a couple TVs and some extravagant ass massage chairs for pedicures. I made a same day appointment on a Sunday for a pedicure and when I walked in it was a pretty ‘laxed work life because when I walked in, this chick sitting in one of the pedi chairs made eye contact with me and I didn’t know if she was a customer or part of the staff but I took a chance by looking at her and said umm. I have an appointment. To which she directed me to pick a color.
Okay.
Then I was directed to one of the pedi massage chairs and they pressed a button on the controller to have the foot tub extend out. Okay. I had a seat and was shown the arm rest. A woman walked over to me with a tray of beverage options: mini water bottles, soda, or Sutter Home wine. Okay. I think they had three pedicure options. I had a male technician that didn’t bullshit some small talk with me. I like that. He did a good job. When it was over, he put my flip flops on and helped me out of the chair and not to a drying station but to pay so I thought okay. it’s not like they were busy. most places let you hang out and nail dry but I was just up and out.
But, it’s a nice little salon and my nails look good. I’m happy.

I’ve gone twice to get my nails done by Jenny and let me tell you, I’ve searched far and wide for a solid salon I can go to regularly. I am so happy to have come by this place on fluke cause my nails needed to be fixed from a different salon…
They have big screen tvs with a movie on so you can sit back and relax ON TOP of offering complimentary beverages!
Anyways if you’ve been looking hard for someone who does a good job and does a better version of what you thought you wanted, Jenny is your lady… but call and make an appointment cause she’s always got someone in her chair!

I’ve been to many places over the years. Even if past nail techs I’ve been to are great at what they do, I have never been to a more enjoyable nail salon all around. They are very professional here. I’ve been coming here since they opened and they are very consistent. They don’t over encourage you to get anything other than what you ask for (like others).
I’ve gotten my manicures/​pedicures/​full sets by no one in particular each time. Everyone does good work. They have more than enough gel colors and OPI to choose from that I think you can’t find at other spots. Even better, They offer you beverages including wine (if you’re over 21) which is a plus after your long work days. I recommend this spot for sure.

I came in today because the other nail salon I was attempting to go to was rude.
Last minute I called and asked if they could fit me today for a gel manicure, the lady said yes and I came in. Upon coming in, she knew exactly who I was based off of the conversation and say me down with Vu.
Vu = His people skills were immaculate, the conversation was just enough and he was genuine. It’s not everyday that you go into establishments and fee like they appreciate your business. He was funny & kind and I hadn’t realized that the time had gone by, because I was having such a great time.
It was clean, sanitary and they had the emery boards cut into pieces/​portions and tossed the board afterwards. They cleaned and sanitize in front of you and it the décor isn’t bad either.
The lady whom i spoke with was just as friendly and down to earth. I got a really good vibe walking in and an even better one walking out. I think I’ve found my new nail salon home.

Wow! Found my new favorite nail salon. I’ve never been to a nail place this nice that wasn’t extremely expensive. Prices here are very reasonable for the service and attention to detail.
This location is very new, with sparkling clean interior and top of the line massage chairs. EXTREMELY CLEAN in every regard, which is always what you want to see at a nail place. The modern furnishings, bright colors, and the tvs on with appropriate volume levels all made for a relaxing setting. I was in heaven using my full body massage chair, and was offered help with the complicated settings and buttons, which I appreciated. Complimentary water, soda, or wine was offered just as I was beginning to really relax. This is a very nice touch!
My pedicurist took her time and was very thorough. I chose the Deluxe Pedicure, which is a step up from the regular, since I was in the mood for a scrub and can always use a callus treatment.
My manicurist was a little more rushed, but I was very pleased with the outcome. I chose orange polish with transluscent glitter in orange hues over the top. I asked about the glitter and was given options. Also, when I realized my thumb needed touching up, they did that for me in a pinch.
I paid $ 38 altogether, $ 10 for the manicure, and $ 28 for the Deluxe Pedicure. (Regular pedicures go for $ 20 as an FYI.) I consider this a decent price for all the pampering and quality of service. Plus, staff are super friendly and helpful. I’ll be back soon!
