History

Established in 1991.

Bobby Coyote left Los Angeles in May 1990 to bring a new, innovative restaurant concept to life in Davis, California. In January 1991, Dos Coyotes Border Café was born, with the opening of the first Davis restaurant at The Marketplace. A second restaurant opened in Sacramento at the Arden Fair regional mall in February 1994, followed by openings in Roseville in March 1997, a second Davis restaurant in December 2000, and an October 2001 opening in Folsom. Elk Grove was soon to come in 2005 and in 2006 East Sacramento was born. With a trail of happy tummys everywhere, Dos Coyotes is poised to become the favorite southwestern (not to be confused with fresh-mex) restaurant in the universe.
