1. Layout. The standard supermarket layout doesn’t apply in this location. When walking in, you will realize that the«market» is oddly placed with shelves on the right and the left is a wide open space. It leaves a very uncomfortable design and the feeling of bad omen in the business. It left me feeling at a very awkward place. The«check out stand» is weirdly placed as well. If you want to do a quick«drop in and out,» this check out stand layout isn’t for you. Even buying a can of soda took almost a minute because the cashier(see reason #2) is so slow at punching in the numbers. 2. «Mean-mugging cashier.» The cashier, normally a younger girl wearing glasses, looks like she doesn’t want to be there. She seemed like she was dragged out by her parents to help out with the business and, by the look on her face, she doesn’t really add much to the atmosphere, at least not positively. It’s quite annoying to look at someone who looks like she doesn’t even appreciate you coming in and making her do her work… I’m sorry, young Asian girl, perhaps, I’ll just not come back to your store anymore? 3. Selection. Just a bunch of dry Asian goods. It’s more of a herbal shop than an actual market. If you come here expecting this place to be like 99 ranch… bleh, you’re going to be one disappointed shopper. =/ 2⁄5

Another asian market on Freeport Blvd. It carries both bulk items and smaller quantities for consumers. Mostly dry goods. Lots of dry mushrooms, noodles, and dried this and that. They seem to be still in the setup mode — a soft start, stocking shelves, etc. The Southeast Asian goods seem everywhere, No fresh vegetables or meat as of today. Across the street from Oto’s on one side and Ho-Chin Market across the street on the other. Both are very good markets.
