H&R Block

Used to be my favorite place to get my taxes done until I had problems with the IRS getting my tax refund back within a reasonable time. I bought the peace of mind deal thinking they would resolve any issues. I was wrong. They wouldnt do anything not even see me when i took time out of my busy schedule to go to their office. Do yourself a favor and go to a reputable person to do your taxes. These guys are full of gimmicks and empty promises.

My taxes got very much tougher this year and thus sought the help of our local H&R Block in East Sac. I was scheduled with an appointment with Kyle. Definitely a good break for me. Found Kyle to be very helpful and friendly. And clearly knew his stuff and I walked out a totally satisfied customer. Top notch experience and I will return in the future if my situation again needs a pro’s pro to figure out. Thanks Kyle!

I’ll try to make this long story short: my husband and I were having some issues with our taxes that we usually file on our own, and decided to go in last minute to this location. We called at 2pm and Miguel told us we’d have an appointment with Denise at 3:15. We got there around 3:05 and checked in and were told that Denise was just finishing up with her previous client. That’s fine, we’ll sit in the waiting area for a few.
3:15 rolls around and someone else asks if we’ve been helped, and we tell them we’re just waiting on Denise. The woman that asked then went and told Denise we were waiting, because the person we checked in with did not do that.
3:25 comes around and another agent comes out and he asks us if we’ve been helped. We say the same and we’re still waiting.
Roughly 3:45 comes around and said guy starts taking Starbucks orders, including from Denise. Another agent goes on lunch.
3:50 comes around and a couple comes in (a WALK-​IN no less) to get their taxes done and the last agent takes them. While we’ve been sitting there for nearly an hour not being helped. We finally decided to call it and just walk out.
Around 6:45pm I actually got a call from Denise apologizing that they should not have even scheduled us at that time because she had another appointment at that time and the guy she was helping had a lot of detailed issues to take care of and BLAH BLAH BLAH that doesn’t matter. What mattered was that we sat there for nearly an hour with no one helping us while there were other available agents and no one telling us that Denise really DIDN’T have an appointment time available. She asked if we’d like to reschedule but sounded like she already knew we wouldn’t. We’ll be taking our taxes elsewhere, thank you.

Gotta agree and thank Eva T. And Kyle! Just got done doing my taxes with Kyle at this location and it made an otherwise miserable experience into a fast, stress free, and profitable one! Definitely telling my friends about Kyle and definitely going back to him next year!

Death and taxes. You know the quote. Just the mere word «taxes» is likely to throw the average Joe into at least mild fits. But not me. Just do what I do: go to Kyle Reynolds at H & R Block.
We’ve been going there and working with Kyle for years– ever since we bought our first home and doing our own taxes suddenly became a headache-​inducing puzzle. Kyle is friendly, knowledgeable, honest, and fast. Doing our taxes (or rather, having Kyle do them for us) is a breeze.
My brother is a rookie truck driver and while in town, needed to get his taxes done. I sent him to Kyle, who knew all about tuition credits that would apply to my brother’s training, and all about how to deal with his per-​diem allowances (it’s a truck driver thing where you are given a certain allowance for hotels, etc.). Bro was so happy with Kyle’s service and his own tax return. Score one more for Kyle at H & R Block.
Bonus: there is a travel agency across the way. After hours you can spot the kitty who lives in there, peeking through the blinds. I like cats.
