Only been once, but enjoyed it. Either the beers were really cheap, or they forgot to charge me for a drink. Plenty of games to play. Was able to fit a large group of us. Good selection of beers.

This used to be my favorite bar in sac! However since Heidi and Tony don’t work there anymore it’s really changed the atmosphere. Bekah is great, as is her husband. But the Saturday night bartenders? The most apt description I can give is surly. It’s amazing how much customer service or lack there of can make a difference!

Visited: January 11, 2016. Yes, that’s a Monday. The Good: Chill bartender, spacious, interesting(although some creepy) decorations, well-priced drinks, and games — PINGPONGTABLE. The Not As Good: Nothing to complain about. I’m not exactly a normal frequenter of bars like these(when I go out it’s normally somewhere I can get my groove on) but this place was still chill. It’s got a bunch of random decorations to look at, which make for nice little buy-outs when conversation gets awkward. Except for the clown. He’s creepy. But still can save you from an awkward silence. Side note, I promise this experience was not as awkward as I’m making it seem. I just look out for cop-outs from awkward situations ahead of time to be prepared. Anyways, there is a pool table and shuffle board, PLUS A PINGPONGTABLE. That’s all fun. There was really no table to put my drink on while I was standing by shuffle board, but the bartender told me I could move tables around to use. Maybe another table would be useful, but other than that the place was exactly as a little neighborhood spot should be — chill people in a place with fun games and music playing at a volume you can actually hear over. Overall, it’s everything I’d expect out of a place like this. A cool little spot if you’re local to the neighborhood or have friends that are. Honestly, it’d probably by 4 stars if I came here often enough to know the people and could walk to the place.

Ok, I’ll tell the truth, I just come here to play Table Tennis. The table is a pool table/ping pong table in one and isn’t too good, but still very playable. The bartenders are always very cool and friendly, and I enjoy coming to this place with my friends. Just remember, beauty is in the eye of the beer holder.

This convenient bar is located in the beautiful East Sacramento area. The drinks are very cheap and whenever I come the bartenders never make anyone wait and are nice. They have a lot of little games and quite a few tvs that you can watch. I’m a big fan of dive bars and this one has a very kickback feel to it. Great place to grab a quick drink or just chill with your people.

Cool little bar with a lot of games to play while you drink. There are pool tables, dart boards and shuffle board. Oh ya and they had a ping pong table too. The drinks are cheap and its not a bro spot thank god. Not a super diverse crowd but still a fun place to get a drink or two.

Really good selection of draft beers and hard ciders on tap, friendly bartenders and easygoing neighborhood crowd. Game room was nice, had two pool tables, air hockey and shuffleboard.

Great neighborhood bar! A large selection of local craft brews on tap. Energy was upbeat. We enjoyed playing darts. They also have ping pong, shuffleboard, and billiards. Great place to watch a game, and then walk home.

I went there late at night. There was a group at the bar. Even though they were still open the bartender was very rude and refused to serve me, I guess because he’d have to work and leave his chatty group for a minute. I want to support a neighborhood place but they make it really hard. I’ve been a few other times. The beers on tap are good, but it’s usually very rowdy and crowded so not some place to just relax and hang out. Not my scene.

Great neighborhood bar. Drink prices are reasonable for East Sac. The crowd gets a little young on Fridays and Saturdays, but the pool tables convert to Ping Pong tables… I mean every bar has pool, how many have Ping Pong… way cool.

Friendly patrons, helpful bartenders, ping pong, pool, and shuffle board… seems like a perfect dive bar experience to me! Lots to do, lots to look at and lots of beer! Plus this part of town is nice so I ain’t got no worries ;-)

Swung by here after eating at onespeed pizza with my girlfriend. Bartender was nice. Most of the patrons were on the older(40s) side but overall very nice vibe. Men’s bathroom was a bit hidden as its a slender door. Didn’t stick around too long but overall a very nice place to grab a beer after pizza.

Fun sports bar with lots of TVs and a bunch of games to play. I’m talking PingPong, Pool and Darts. Drinks are priced pretty decent, woman’s restroom are okay. When we walked in it was pretty packed on a rainy Sunday afternoon for football. It seemed like my brother new pretty much everyone and most lived walking distance from this place. Protip: My Brother said, «If you see the yellow jeep in the back parking lot, do not park there». Wifi Password is «Password»

Since the remodel a few years ago I haven’t made as many stops here as I had before — wonder what that says. With cool arcade games, plenty of televisions, pool tables and a respectable amount of bar stools, the consistently clean ladies’ restroom and constantly-evolving stack of local brews on tap making this one bar worth braving the hideous left turn onto Folsom BLVD to leave. There IS a parking lot in back, but you’re competing with the lovely Chocolate Fish next door(with convenient not-drinking hours so you have a 50 – 50 shot at a spot). I would say bike it, but you’d probably be roadkill with all the everyone going to Hot Yoga, One Speed, East Sac Hardware and the buzz cuts. Do yourself a favor; get really amped about lack of parking and terrible, inconsiderate drivers, then play some pool, put your jam on the sweet juke, and order a local draft to relax. Also — One Speed DOES deliver here so skip that ridiculous line and stay where you wanted to the whole time anyway. just be sure to tip like the champ you are.

Great sports dive bar with all the locals— even ran into our neighbor! Décor is the usual, big screen TVs, a looooong bar, two pool tables, ping pong, interesting posters in the clean restrooms(ladies’ anyway). Parking is off street in their private lot out back which is good! Heidi is fast and friendly and serves a very drinkable Bloody Mary. My man spent all night shooting pool and the other guys gave him a good run. We both left happy… :D All in all a great place to hang if you’re in the area. We will be back!

I’ve been here during the best of times and during the worst of times. Great place, great prices, and great service. Sometimes shady bar goers(just like any bar) and sometimes some really funny people to be friends with. This place is just down the street from my work so it is my go to place for after work drinks since I can walk there, though they do have parking in the back. Décor: I love it, they have so many florescent signs, random pictures, and then there is a plastic sign of a man on the ceiling. The new age jukebox is the only source of music so there is quite the random selection as bar goers add their dollars in. One night there was pure hard rock and the next time I went it was an assortment of backstreet boys and Phil Collins. They have two pool tables so that is always fun for those who need an activity to go with their drinking. I don’t know how much a game is but it can’t be too much. Service: Friendly bartenders who are down to chat for a second instead of the typical bartenders at the«fancier bars» downtown. My drinks always taste just right, gin and tonic without having to ask for the lime. Never watered down and again, always friendly. They have their drink specials displayed on a chalk board at the center of the bar next to the beers on tap. Check it out when you are in doubt! I always go for the well drinks. $ 3 so the price is just right for my budget for my after work on a Tuesday type of nights. I highly recommend this bar if you are shopping for a new neighborhood bar to attend.

Local little dive bar that’s pretty much a hidden gem! From the outside all you see is a brick building with neon beer signs in the windows and their Hilltop sign, so it looks like a typical dive. Upon entering, the place is much larger than it looks! The staff are VERY friendly. They are the laid back type and are very attentive to your needs. The prices here are SUPERCHEAP(I’m talking $ 4 for a pint of good beer), with a very decent selection of beers. They even usually have a drink on special. The layout is set so that there are two areas, the entrance side, where there’s the bar lined with bar stools and maybe 3 or so tall tables, then the other side is like the game side. There are two pool tables, two dart boards and a shuffle board! Everything is spaced out nicely. The place looks clean, with a couple of flat screen TVs above the bar. It’s also decorated nicely inside. I’m not sure if there’s food here, but I do know there’s a covered bowl of pretzels to munch on if you care. All in all, I don’t live far from here so this is a very chill spot to grab a quick drink with a friend! Thanks Hilltop! Tip: Oh yeah, the minimum credit/debit charge is $ 10, which is like more two drinks here!!!(I know right!?) Open a tab, you’ll be fine!
