Mana Sushi & Korean BBQ

I’ve been coming here for almost two years now. It’s the great sushi that keeps me coming back. Recently they added an all you can eat buffet which is just awesome because it has a great variety of item. The sushi is fresh and for the buffet the rolls are rolled fresh during each order. Aside from the buffet the prices are very reasonable, in my eyes really good! Love Mana and totally would recommend it if you’re in the area.

This sushi place was good! Went around 1:30 on a Friday with my sister for AYCE lunch. Food was tasty. My only complaint was that food took FOREVER to come out. Also, it took time to get our waitor’s attention that we were ready. I noticed that with other people coming in, they attended quickly to others. My sister and I were really hungry. Took 20 mins for 3 rolls to comeby. We did not get any assurance when our food would comeby. Just waiting and waiting and waiting. Overall, appetizers and sushi were delicious. Will come back, hopefully with faster service.

1. Appetizers are not really best: weak marinated bulgogi (Korean B.B.Q) and spicy pork Bulgogi wasn’t spicy enough. Cucumber salad was okay, however most of appetizers are very little amounts.
2. No sushi rice. It’s just rice for the rolls and nigiri. Seriously no vinegarized (vinegar+sugar+more) rice for all sushi?
3. Nice nigiri and sashimi quality but too thick rice. It make us full stomach fast and easy. Those who ordering their «All you can eat», better watch out for amount of rice.

Taylor is hands down the best waitress in the business. She put up with us and provided us with great service and plenty of friendly banter. She enhances an already great dining experience.
PS — Get the sashimi plate. It doesn’t disappoint.

This place is ok. I like the idea of all you can eat sushi, although that’s not what I did when I went. The rolls were ok, and the sashimi was served on ice which was interesting. I like the idea, but when the sashimi got to our table it was partly frozen. The servers are nice and attentive, nothing to complain about there. I think it’s a decent sushi spot, but not the best in the Arden-​arcade area. If you eat simple rolls and aren’t a sushi enthusiast (like me), then I would recommend this place.

For starters, the all you can eat sushi does NOT include Korean BBQ. It’s one or the other.
Good customer service. Reasonably priced. Clean environment. Good food and the fresh oysters just keep on coming… give it a try

AYCE for $ 11.99 lunch (Mon-​Sat 11:00 — 3:00) and 19.99 dinner (Mon-​Sat 3:00-close and Sun).
Appetizers: The pa jun (Korean style pancake) was a bit oily but crispy. The tofu soup was salty and would’ve been better with rice, but I didn’t want to fill my stomach with rice. I also had the wakame (seaweed salad) and fried soft shell crab.
Special Rolls: Jess, ELJ., Vennie, and SMF (seared) were the rolls I tried. I wouldn’t call them special. They were typical with a lot of rice and thin slices of fish.
Raw: I had an oyster, as in one. It didn’t look too appealing or taste too fresh. What I ate a lot of was the tuna and salmon sashimi.
I didn’t try any of the meat items, oh well. Food was ok overall, but by the end I remembered why I shouldn’t do AYCE. Self-​control can be difficult. Service was good. Our waitress came to our table a lot because we kept asking for different things. Mana wouldn’t be my first choice for sushi or Korean BBQ or AYCE, but you should try it for yourself.

Came here for Sashimi and it was well worthy with all you can eat oyster. You can’t go wrong with that.
Service was alright.
My favorite was the fry oyster and tempura shrimp!!!

Awesome sushi place this place is ⁵⁄₅ for sushi. I enjoyed it alot and I will come back everytime I want sushi. Better than blue nami in my opinion!

Went there with family and didn’t agree with buffet options. Everyone gets it ($ 19.99 a head) or no one can. But on the flip side a single roll is $ 15.
Service is fast friendly and sushi bar is entertaining for little ones to watch
But word to the wise do not get oysters. Instant tummy rumble and tasted like nothing, no saltwater or juice in it, should have known.

Decent sushi at a reasonable price. Ordered a couple of rolls, for late afternoon snack. Nothing special. The owner seemed to be yelling at all his employees the entire time… they didn’t look pleased to be there. Made for a slightly uncomfortable dining atmosphere. Service was slow.
Good all you can eat deal. 19.99… they also have all you can drink (beer and sake) for 19.99. Maybe we will try that deal next time.

Another successful visit to Manas! The only difference with this visit is that I opted for the all you can eat dinner for $ 19.99. Great decision on my behalf. The fresh oysters were bomb btw but the star of the show this visit was the spicy bulgogi! The sushi guy behind the counter suggested I try it and I’m thankful that he did so. The only downfall is that the bulgogi option came in super small portions so I had to order about 4 of to satisfy my belly.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, honestly.
Their «sushi rolls» are horrible, 90% rice with the minimum amount of fish, veggies, & what ever other ingredients are supposed to go inside. You can’t even taste anything besides the rice.
The Korean BBQ is just as disappointing; extremely small, dry pieces of meat with little to no flavor.
But I mean, if you’ve never had good sushi or kbbq before, I guess this place would satisfy you. Too bad I’m a sushi fanatic & know what real sushi tastes like.

Heard about them on the radio and thought both sushi and Korean BBQ??? I gotta try this! Very disappointed, we’ve sat here for about 1 hour now and have yet to receive our sushi rolls. Appetizers came out but their service is very very slow. The Korean bbq is only offered on the dinner menu, fyi. Good news is sake bombs are 99 cents. The restaurant is half full with 3 servers. Sushi rolls sat in front of the sushi bar for a good 15 mins or so before served to other tables. I figured I have time to Unilocal.
After receiving the rolls, had to update! Everything we ordered that included «snow crab» (ELJ, Georgia, Hawaiian) was actually imitation crab.

Overall 3 stars for us. We did the all you can eat so we tried a lot of different foods.
Cons:
The deep fried foods (Pan Jan, crab, sashimi) was too oily. Also, some of the seaweed in the sushi rolls were hard to chew.
Pros:
The tofu soup is really flavorful and tasty. That was the best dish. The sushi rolls are pretty good for the most part. They are a close runner up to arigotos and mukinis.
The «Wendy» roll was the best in our opinion.

I came here to try it out. It was alright. The rolls were okay, but they could have been better. There was a bit too much rice and the seaweed was a bit tough/​chewy than usual. Also I really love the ends of sushi rolls but their ends look like they ran out of filling. Usually the ends of sushi rolls are the bigger/​meatier ones. The Lion King roll was a bit odd. Didn’t taste like I have tasted at other sushi places.
The sashimi wasn’t too bad. Soft and smooth. Small portions.
The ramen is pretty good though. Even though it was just plain, I liked it a lot.
The other appetizers were kinda meh. And the Korean Bbq was meh.
Overall it’s okay but honestly I’d rather stick to Fuji sushi buffet and Oz Korean Bbq. It was still nice to try it out though.

All I can say is, my boyfriend found a baby cockroach in his rice bowl. Alive. He’s a professional chef, and understands old buildings do often times have pest problems, but it has to be pretty severe if these otherwise reclusive creatures are present in the light, on our plate!!!
So needless to say we immediately stopped eating, paid for our drinks and left. It was actually quite tragic because the little food we had started eating tasted great, esp the Korean pancake that took me back to childhood. But now thinking back on the experience it makes me sick to be unsure of what I ate — or what came in contact with it at least. Sad how a little improper sanitation practice can ruin an otherwise great thing.
We had such high hopes for this place because I love sushi and he doesn’t, but loves Korean food. We thought we had found the perfect local spot to satiate both our culinary cravings, only to be disappointed by yet another Sacramento restaurant. Can’t wait till we open our own, but in the meantime we trek on, in the search of a few more legit establishments in the area.
Oh and you may wonder why I choose to give them two stars — well I’m not a jerk and the service was good. Plus another star for a seriously tasty savory pancake! Won’t be returning though. Farewell my tasty memory!

By far the best sushi restaurant in Sacramento. Skip the line at Fujis and make the drive over to Mana because it is so much better! They offer AYCE including sashimi and fresh oysters for only $ 19.99. I can’t get over how fresh the sashimi especially since it’s AYCE. Not only that, but the menu also includes a full kitchen menu with everything from Korean bbq to perfectly battered tempura. Everything is made to order so is super fresh. The sushi chefs are extremely nice and very knowledgeable about fish. The servers are also very nice and attentive.

I was looking for Korean food for lunch. Sadly, there aren’t too many choices in the Arden area. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. We were greeted out loud by the chefs at the sushi bar in typical japanese style «Irrashai!» I already knew we got something special going on here.
Its not too hard to find off the road as its located across from Target. We arrived Right when they opened and were seated right away. They have a variety of different bento boxes and sushi rolls that are available for lunch. I ordered the bibimbap and a sushi roll. The bibimbap was good but nothing out of the ordinary to make it stand out from other bibimbap dishes. I was a little disappointed by the amount of meat that was in it and the lack of ban chan I got with it (I was only served 1 side). The sushi roll, which are half off the menu items when we were there, was called the Roll-​er Coaster. The roll had spicy tuna, cream cheese and avocado. It was topped with fresh salmon, green onions, tobiko and their special sauce. It was filling and delicious.
I had no idea that also serve AYCE sushi. The lunch price was a good deal and if I wasn’t craving korean bbq so much, I probably would’ve gotten that.
There is a good amount of parking. The restaurant had a lot of seating, clean and spacious paired with friendly and attentive staff. With few choices in the area, I’m glad that I was able to check this place out because its actually pretty good. I will come back to check out the AYCE sushi.

I’ve always passed by this place every time I go to target and my friends decided to go here one day so I’m like why not? Found out they had all you can eat here for sushi rolls or Korean food. Whaaa?! There is a limited selection on what you could order, of course, but the selections were really good.
We came for dinner ($ 19.99) and they had bulgogi, gyoza, soft shell crab, salad, sushi rolls, sashimi and Nigiri and a lot more to choose from on their menu.
They give you the ayce menu and their regular menu since they have some sushi rolls you can order and you have to check the menu to see which roll you’d like. The ayce menu only tells you the name of the roll. That took a lot of time since they had so many rolls to choose from and we had to keep matching up names. I think it would’ve been easier if they marked something on their menu or color coordinate what was eligible for ayce rolls cause I started getting overwhelmed where I didn’t wanna order sushi anymore lol
Overall, the food wasn’t so bad. The Korean pancake was a bit soggy which was the only thing we didn’t really care for but everything else was good. The ayce sushi rolls are served the full size BTW, so keep in mind that you have to finish all the rolls you order otherwise you’ll get charged! The salmon Nigiri was bomb though! Some pieces of salmon were bigger than expected!
Service was good. It was only one server in the beginning and she was really attentive with water refills and taking our orders.
