I took my car to this place and they are a complete joke! I called to ask Martin if they
are able to work on a Saab and diagnose the issue my boyfriend and I were having with
the car was stalling out on the freeway. «Oh yes young lady. We can do everything except body work. The car passed smog just months before in Martin’s WHACK expertise he said the catalytic converter was the reason the car kept stalling. I knew that was not true because the catalytic converter namely affects the car’s ability to pass smog. He kept telling us to call back this day or that day because they still weren’t done with diagnostic. From that point he kept saying we’re STILL trying to figure it out. He charged us for a catalytic converter and the bill was over $ 400. He claims that was for labor. He is a complete CROOK. My boyfriend drove the car and the next day he was having problems with it stalling again. He called Martin and told him the issue was unresolved and all Martin said was to have it towed back in. He kept it another 2 weeks and then released it back to us unresolved again. The car needed an ECM ONLY which could have been figured out the first time instead of charging us for something we didn’t need. The final day we were at his shop we asked him if he was comfortable with us walking out of the shop knowing he didn’t resolve our issue and he then became real unprofessional and rude about it. He told us to get out of his God Dam* shop and things escalated from there. I called the B.A.R on him and they investigated and stated he was cited on some issues, but advised me to take him to small claims court to get my money back and that is exactly what I’m going to do. I hope his shop gets closed down. He is a complete jerk!

This place in under new ownership, now call Sundance Auto Service and Repair. New owners are Martin and Mack. I went there first a couple months ago for what I thought was a complete brake service. Lucky for me, the new owners are actually REALLY COOL guys and HONEST (believe it or not)! They didn’t try to get one over on me and actually had me take a look with my own eyes as to what part of the problem was. I’ve been back a couple times since in the last couple of months for simple oil changes on both our cars (I commute so I put a lot of mileage on our cars-​fast) and Martin is still a cool guy, and has his guys get the job done fast. Give this place a try! As of now he does everything but smogs. But soon that is supposed to available as well. A great full auto service shop!

Scam at it’s best!!! This place is straight bull shit. Fuk up my truck on a basic tune up and try charge me on some other shit!!! Avoid these dick heads.

Their whole business practice isn’t straight-​forward and very dishonest.
I took in my car to get the engine checked out because the car was stalling. They looked at it and gave me a verbal estimate of around $ 650. When it was time to print out the actual estimate for the job it comes out to a total of $ 784 excluding tax. I ask where that extra $ 100 charge came from. He said there was an additional problem to the car that he didn’t see before. I complain and he said he will give me 10% off and that the car will be ready by the next afternoon.
When I go back they tell me the cars not ready because ABSOLUTELY NO ONE SELLS THE PART IN CALIFORNIA and that they had to order the part from out of state. I found this hard to believe considering that the part that they were looking for was only a minor engine part and I doubt they really checked EVERYWHERE. It’s just a lame excuse for being behind schedule. So I go back home frustrated and then I get a call from him saying that he found additional problems to the car that he TOTALLY FORGOT TO SEE BEFORE and its gonna cost an extra $ 250. By this time I just need my car back for work ASAP and tell him to just get it done.
Overall, these guys give you a cheap estimate so that they can start on the car and then claim that they keep finding additional problems to the car to which they keep stacking to the bill and when the cars not ready on time they just come up with a lame excuse instead of apologizing or calling you ahead of time.

The guy running the counter is a dick.
They will find some way not to honor their coupons
Went there to get a SMOG, was told that the SMOG technician was not in that day. Went there to get an oil change, and their credit card machine was broken (which the guy told me after the job was done)

Do not take your car to this chain of repair shops! They are professional con artists. They charged my boyfriend for a $ 1000 worth of work that they didn’t do. Once my boyfriend challenged them on the work the guy in charge of servicing the automobile was suddenly «fired» and no one would return calls or take accountability.
He has since filled a complaint with the Bureau of Automotive Repair only to discover that they have a long history of complaints against Purrfect Auto. Apparently they specialize in working on a cash basis with minimal documentation and receipts to avoid getting shut down altogether.
Do yourself a favor and avoid them at all costs.

Do not take your car to this shop!
We had an appointment for new brakes at 8:00 a.m. on a Monday morning. I had made the appointment the previous week because our schedule was very tight.
No one was at the shop until 8:10. My daughter was waiting and it was a day when the weather was only 40 degrees.
They had assured me that the car would be finished no later than 9:30 as my daughter had a college class. They kept telling her the car was almost finished; then suddenly they said they didn’t have the parts and had to order them.
They kept up with the «it’s almost done crap» until I went crazy on the phone with him and told him to stop lying to me.
At one point, he asked the mechanic how much longer and the mechanic said «an hour» which I overheard on the phone and the dude gets back on the phone with me and says «30 minutes». I yelled that I heard him tell you an hour! and then he said he was trying to keep me «happy».
To make an extremely long story short, she did not get out of there until 1:30 p.m. There was only one employee there who was decent and helpful and not giving us the runaround. I believe his name was Chris.
There were two other people in the waiting room with my daughter who said it was the worst experience ever. One was there for a basic oil change which they had promised would be done in 45 minutes. He was there for over two hours.
Avoid this place like the plague.

We took our car to this shop to have the smog checked at 12noon one day. They were friendly enough and gave us a coupon that had been mailed out but the car did not pass the smog. In addition to the $ 39.99 for the smog check, they found a couple of other problems needed fixing that totaled $ 139.00.
We called every hour all day and they kept telling us it was «almost finished»
After fixing the problems, the car still did not pass smog. At the end of the day, the car was not ready and they promised to have it ready at 9am the next day.
9am next day we called and they promised to fix the car and have it pass smog at no extra cost to us. Great.
Noon same day we call again and guess what? They found another problem that would cost $ 300 to fix plus the cost of another smog test.
We went, picked up the car, and paid the rip off price they had charged us for (I think bogus) repairs already done.
Next day got smog checked at a another place and it passed 100%.
Don’t use this place. Ever.
