Quest Diagnostics

I went I’m with no appointment @ 930am. I had under a 5 minute wait So that’s nice. I was beyond terrified to give blood. Doctors and needles are things of nightmares to me. I brought a friend with me so i could have some support. I felt like passing out two weeks earlier when i got a shot at a clinic (yes I’m that much of a pansy). The lady seemed very annoyed that i brought my friend back. She was less than friendly so all i could imagine was her stabbing me with her needle in anger. After i explained I spent a lot of my childhood in a hospital she seemed to lighten up. She explained what she was doing and even showed some humor and compassion. She did have to try twice cause one arm didn’t have good veins. She knew what she was doing and was quite fast. In and out of the office in like 10 minutes.

I’m here for my 3 hour glucose screening, a routine draw for pregnancy. The tech did a great job on my draw, as she should have as that is what she does all day everyday. What I’m not enjoying is the conversation I’m hearing from the techs at the front desk. There are 3 people in the waiting room including myself and there is no need for us to have to hear their ridiculous conversation. They’re not trying to hush their voices whatsoever. They’re currently talking about being prescribed narcotics and giving them away. This is at least entertaining, as for the last half hour they were all going on about how much money they don’t make. It appears to be payday here.

Had my blood drawn here last week by Mandy. She is FANTASTIC. First, she got me signed in super fast. Second, she drew my blood without pain and as smooth as silk. Getting my blood drawn is always a crap-​shoot because I’ve got some trouble veins. But Mandy was super efficient — she got the job done fast and without pain or bruising. I will definitely be using this lab going forward.

Come here to do all my blood work. Love how the ladies are friendly, its never to crowded which I love too. Plus its the only place that can actually find the veins in my ARM which other places have to resort to my wrist which causes me pain+swelling+brusing afterwards :(

I have been here several times with and without an appointment. Expect an hour wait. Staff is short and not very helpful.
