Love their milk tea and smoothies, if you ask them to make it a certain way, they do it right.

A buddy told me about this location a few weeks ago. Another location to get boba if your in the area lol. The first time here, I order the usual thai tea snow for myself, it still had chunk of ice in it when I began to drink it upon arriving home. lol, not a big deal, I did order a lot drinks for a few friends so they were probably rushing my order. The second time when I was here, I order oolong milk tea with grass jelly and I order my friend taro milk tea snow. It was made correctly the second time lol. I haven’t had the chance to try their food, but from what I saw the rice bowl did look appealing to me. I must try it next time when I’m in the area for lunch or something. I do have to agree with the other review about being way to hot inside. On that particular day it was in the mid to late 90’s degree fahrenheit. I don’t know if the AC unit was broken or what, but they did have the ceiling fans on. This location is probably not as nice as the other quickly location you been before, but then again if you need your milk tea fix you go regardless. Next to a liquor store so go take a boxing class or something if you feel uncertain lol. Be prepare for folks asking for change in the parking lot… Note: bring cash if your one of those complaining about being charge a fee for orders under $ 8 with a CC.

The drinks here are decent I usually order honeydew or taro snow with boba. I’ve had the popcorn chicken twice and both times were dissatisfying. It was tough and powdery, not tender and crispy. It also has a bit of a fishy taste. I believe this is because the oil in the fryer must not be very fresh. I’ve had popcorn chicken from the Quicklys downtown and it was much better. Today I ordered three drinks for me and my brothers and the drinks fell through the poorly made cup holders they supply you with. The cups cracked, spilled all over the floor, and my drinks were wasted. Very disappointing experience but I will probably return because as I stated before, the drinks are fairly decent and it is the only boba place near me.

I stumbled upon this place while getting gas next door. I have only tried their taro milk tea and milk green tea with boba. The taro drink tastes like an Oreo milkshake and is one of my favorites. My usual order is a large milk green tea with boba. It’s perfect for finals, as it is filling and hydrating. It’s literally like a meal. The place is very clean and service is quick. You will come out of there smelling like you just walked out of a fryer if the person in front of you has ordered any of the deep fried items on the menu – my only(very small) complaint. This place is great overall. Oh, and fast freeway access is a plus. It’s a 10 min detour to get my milk tea boba fix or less if I place my order over the phone: D

Clean interior, basic Quickly’s set up with Fast friendly service. Accepts CC. You can do Fundraisers here. One Odd note. My popcorn chicken has a slightly fishy after taste.

This place is very average. The food tastes better than the boba drinks IMO. They must not be using good quality tapioca pearls because the boba is always hard and breaks up when you bite into it. That or the boba is days old for it to get that way. Drink flavor itself is just okay. There’s lots of better places for milk tea compared to this quickly’s. I’ve had better experience with the food here though. I don’t recommend the mapo tofu but I did like the broccoli and chicken. It’s a fairly large serving and you can probably share between two people. The place is almost always empty when I’m there but since there’s WiFi and always tables available, it does make for a good study spot! There’s catchy kpop music playing in the background but it’s never noxiously loud. Overall, it’s just okay for a quick boba fix or Chinese for lunch.

This Quickly is a typical Quickly, sometimes my green apple green tea with mango jelly is on point. Sometimes it’s a big disappointment, I’m just guessing because they’re new? But they do seem to have more food items on their menu then other Quicklys that I had been to or maybe I just didn’t really notice it before with other Quicklys. Couple of times when I was here they were pretty empty, but that’s okay. Because that means I get to be the loud one. They don’t have a stamp card but they use this mobile app that all you have to do is scan your receipt barcode and it automatically give you stamps or points, whatever you would like to call it. I sure hope that they’ll do well because this is about the only Quickly that’s close to my friend’s house! One thing about this place is that there’s tons of rude bums. You can’t ignore them, because when you do they get all pissy and they’ll snap at cha(It happened to me!)! Hopefully they’ll get better and when they do I’ll do another update! Until then I’m sticking with my 3 stars :(

Every time we come here it’s empty and they still take forever! I want to love this place for the convenience but just can’t. Without fail I always end up tossing my drink out. The boba is disgusting and the drink is so watered down. The food is so so. They can never get it right. Looks like we are driving back downtown again.

They have an extra charge for card purchases under $ 8! It’s like any other Quicklys, don’t expect too little don’t expect too much. Just another establishment making good quality boba. The service is fast and super friendly. Gave good recommendations for the Tiger milk tea and the honeydew milk tea. Both are delicious! The snacks are a bit on the pricy side, but if you haven’t tried the popcorn chicken or tayoyaki, go try it. $ 6, so not bad. Cheap and fast drinks for a cheap price. Close to Sacramento State campus and college town. Come try it!

Ungh. I grew up with Quickly– in high school, hanging out at our local Quickly after school was what all my Asian friends did, because really, when you grow up in Cupertino, what else are you going to do? And then I discovered better quality milk teas and boba at other places and my days of frequenting Quickly were over. Sadly, there is a dearth of good boba places in the Sac area, so I have been making the rounds, trying out all the boba places around me. As this Quickly location is the closest to me, I had high hopes for it, despite knowing what I know about Quickly. But you know, different location, maybe a different outcome? No. Like all the Quicklys that I have ever known, the teas are bland and taste almost stale and the tapioca/pearls/boba are hard and chalky in consistency. The regular milk tea has that very characteristic«this was not freshly brewed» tea taste to it, as if they just have a large pot of tea and a large pot of sugary milk and mix them together in a proportion that is never quite right. Also, as they just add different flavor powders or syrup to this base«regular milk tea,» you’re going to have that taste in whatever drink you order. The popcorn chicken was mediocre– it wasn’t as crispy as I would have liked, but the flavoring was decent. tl;dr: Sitting under the bright fluorescent lights with Kpop playing in the background, it felt like I was in high school again. Different city, same old Quickly– and same meh experience overall.

Second and last time here. First time I thought the Jasmine milk tea, taro milk tea, and popcorn chicken was awful because business was new and slow. Tried the place a month later and it was still awful. The quality and taste was disgusting. Had to toss it out. The tapioca was plain, hard and chalky. The drinks tasted like sugar water. Popcorn chicken was plain and oozing oil in my mouth. Pro: Friendly staff, clean environment, next to campus

Well they definitely don’t move quickly. Service here is extremely slow. Made the mistake of ordering calamari rings and waited over 20 mins. Now when I stop by its milk tea and I’m out. Even just a milk tea takes about 10 mins. This Definitely doesn’t help when I am on my way to class. Their milk tea is very good though. Thumbs up for that one.

Okay so I was so excited that it finally opened up by my house, sad thing is that when I go and finally try this location, the Boba balls are gross and hard. The service was great and the tea itself is really refreshing. Drinking the Thai Iced Tea I received, everything is great except the boba balls are super hard and ruin the drink. Hopefully they fix this problem, I’ll be coming back here maybe in the future and if the Boba problem isn’t fixed I’ll never come again, I’d rather drive downtown to that location where everything is extremely good. So sad about my experience.

HAPPY!!! ordered a Taro Slush with Taro pudding and it was the perfect portion of both and flavor! Nice spot, clean with tables and chairs to enjoy with friends and I also noticed they do serve food from the snack menu. TV screens with KPOP music videos great place! think I will go back right now to get another drink. Sizes from regular to jumbo :)

This location is clean and spacious, but service was a bit slow. My drink was a bit powdery and the popcorn chicken lacked seasoning. I was hoping this place wouldn’t disappoint me like the crappy quicklys in Davis. I’m not a fan of quicklys.

Just opened by Sac State! Here you have the basic Quickly menu of milk teas, snow, slushes, and I’m not sure if other locations have this but they also have flavored milk! The snack menu is pretty extensive compared to the Midtown or even Elk Grove locations with corn dogs, spam musubi, hot dogs, and the usual snacks. Staff was a little bit disorganized but it’s okay as it was their first day today. Overall, a really great location for students to come to, study, and the closest place outside of campus to get boba! :D

Holy Black Balls, are you a boba-holic? — BACKSTORY — Well, I guess they are called tapioca balls… either way, those little things taste good! I use to go to Quickly nearly everyday back when I was in community college(Diablo Valley College) since it was really close. Since moving to Sac, I would normally go down to 65th and Stockton to get my boba fix(20 min drive for me! T_T). However when I heard that they were grand opening today near Sacramento State, I HADTOTRYIT! So right before work, I dropped by and checked it out. — LOCATIONANDSERVICE– 4.5÷5 This place is in a pretty nice location since it’s in the same plaza as Tacobell and Mcdonald-ish. However, It could be a little confusing to some as its in the corner right next to Subway. There was even a lady that walked in confused asking if this was Subway– a little bit embarrassing but totally understandable since I’m sure many of us have went to the wrong store before! — THEDRINK — 3⁄5 I ordered a Large Honeydew Milk Tea(they have regular, large, chubby, and like super ginormous bucket chubby– lol, jk, but it’s pretty big) with pearls and popcorn chicken. Typically, you can’t go too wrong with Honeydew imo. Right?! RIGHT… Well. so I thought. I’m not sure if it was the grand opening or my taste buds but it wasn’t as satisfying as I hoped. I don’t like my drinks too sweet, but the drink I ordered was definitely lacking which made it a little bland. The boba pearls were good in texture but more or less tasteless to me. EDIT: I ordered the Cantaloupe Slush with Mango Star Jelly on another visit and I DEFINITELY enjoyed that. It has been my favorite drink at Quicklys for a while now. It’s a sweet and refreshing slush! — THEFOOD — 4⁄5 The popcorn chicken on the other hand was pretty satisfying. The chicken wasn’t as crispy as I would normally like them to be, but the the meatiness of it was well worth it. I really enjoyed eating them there and at work! One thing I noticed was that they don’t have the sweet and sour chilli sauce that typical boba places. They did have sweet and sour packets that you would normally see at Chinese take-outs though which tasted just fine with the chicken! Maybe it’s just the grand opening? Who knows. FINALTHOUGHTS: 4⁄5 I don’t recommend the Honeydew Milk Tea as of this moment at least. My friend ordered the same thing and felt the same way so it wasn’t just my drink. I do recommend giving this place a try though as Quickly does have a small place in my heart(or stomach… 00). Get the popcorn chicken if you are looking for a meaty snack, it’s good. All in all, it’s your average Boba place. I know you’re thirsty for some black balls. go get some! :D
