The Dailey Method

The workout is exactly what I’ve been looking for, building physical and mental strength. The instructors are knowledgeable and friendly. And the facilities are nice and clean.

I found this gym through a trial of ClassPass that I did, which helped me explore a ton of gyms and classes in the area. I LOVED the Dailey Method classes the most! The barre classes were an amazing workout and I felt like it was completely different than anything else offered in the area. I normally stick to spin and running, but classes here worked my arms, core and legs like nothing else. I thought I was in decent shape going in, but my legs literally started shaking under me holding some of the poses. All of the instructors and staff were friendly and helpful. What I liked most was that the instructor would demonstrate everything as you went, but also walk around to help anyone who needed it with proper form (i.e., me).
The one drawback to this place was the lack of parking. I had difficulty finding street parking for an early evening class, and had to circle the block several times. So come early to account for that! I did take an early morning class before work and had no trouble finding a spot then. I liked the early morning class because afterwards I found myself much more aware of my posture throughout the work day.

The location is convenient and the staff is courteous, friendly, and professional. The workouts are incredibly challenging, but low impact. Truly one of the best workouts in terms of results. Two years later, and I still look forward to heading to the studio during lunch and on weekends.

I spent most of last year focused on doing half marathons, and as much as I loved it, realized it wasn’t working for me. I remembered that I’d enjoyed my classes at TDM and decided to come back. I am on my second month back and I can already tell a difference in how strong I am and how I feel. First day of classes I wanted to cry and couldn’t do the exercises without a break. Still need the occasional break, but doing much better. Added bonus, I am losing weight and things are tightening back up. If like me you need to combat middle age spread, these courses are awesome!

I cannot «express» (no pun intended to the fast and fresh Express classes) how much I love The Dailey Method Downtown. From a convenient location for those of us who work nearby, to the super clean and bright studio to the amazing teachers and classes, it really is the best!
The hour long Barre class is truly a whole body workout, with the appropriate level of energy and a touch of pain for you to achieve serious transformation all over. And even the 45-​minute Express class provides strength training and the right moves that actually change your body, all in less time than a typical lunch hour spent eating out! The teachers are supportive, inspiring and motivating and spend time working to ensure proper positioning, while still keeping the best music going. Every level of athlete, casual exerciser and infrequent stretcher can find something amazing within a class at The Dailey Method Downtown.
Not a day goes by that I don’t talk to a friend or coworker about my love for this studio!

Looking for a great barre workout? Then check this place out! I’m in LOVE with TDM. I recently moved to Sacramento and was looking for a new barre studio, so I decided to try TDM. I originally purchased a Groupon (highly recommend) and it was 100% worth it. That was a couple of months ago and I’ve been coming ever since! The instructors are super friendly and each class is a good workout. I definitely recommend trying TDM.

The instructors and staff here are all friendly. Clean facility with a locker room.
I love how they design their classes with our schedules in mind. I do the Express class during lunch. It is a shorter version of their Barre class. I love how I can come here for a good work out, not be all sweaty and get back to work in time.
I highly recommend The Dailey Method. Its a great work out with an emphasis on toning especially core. I get so sore that it even hurts when I laugh.

There’s metered parking on the street and parking garages nearby. Do they validate? I don’t know.

Show up early for class. if you’re late, you may miss out. You may find a sign on the door that says ‘Sorry we missed you’. Then you’re assed out. Door locked. But some days you can get in late. but then you’re late and class already started.
You check in at the front desk. They’ll get you a card to scan you in. I’ve only used the card maybe twice and all the other times told the person at the desk my name.
They have lockers, showers, water dispenser.
The class: You wear socks in the studio. It’s small with several ceiling fans and AC. The instructor is mic’d. When I first started going, the people were pretty like real housewives status. It’s intimidating because I’m so out of shape and not even put together like these ladies but that didn’t deter me and no one has ever made me feel like I didn’t belong. (Except this ONE time I caught this chick looking at me weird). It’s my own insecurities. I go and I work out and it’s great and I find myself saying, «This is fucked up.» But really, it’s just rough in a good workout sense. You’re lengthening and strengthening your muscles while practicing body alignment.
I like it. There’s the regular Barre class which is an hour long, Express is a shorter Barre class, and then Interval is a more advanced Barre class.
They also have snacks at the desk for purchase, socks specialized for barre so you won’t find yourself slippin’, and other clothing items in their little retail area.

I initially checked them out using a Groupon — had no idea they even existed until that posted in my inbox (excellent marketing idea, TDM!). After one session, I was hooked. I’m currently on my second unlimited membership. Have also lost some weight and inches all around since I started. I can’t stop recommending this workout enough to anyone I know. Although, I’m not sure what it is about them but the instructors Jessie and Emily really kick my butt. Thought they were all supposed to be doing relatively the same thing, but whatever they are doing is making them my top instructors!
Location and parking is a bit sketchy, but I keep my walk brisk and get myself quickly into the studio. Other than that, I’m totally addicted. On the plus side, you can use the unlimited membership — with a teacher discount — at their sister studios in Roseville and Folsom which work out great for me.

I purchased the groupon for the unlimited month and it was definitely worth it. I felt motivated to keep returning and went to classes 3+ times per week.
The studio is clean, the app is easy to use and the instructors are all so friendly and helpful. My favorite indtructors are Rebecca, Jesse, Anna and Robyn.

The Dailey Method is located off 8^th and J, which is super convenient is someone is living or working downtown. Pro Tip: For the 6:00 AM class, the meters aren’t running, so parking is free.
I went to the 6AM class and the instructor checked me in. I registered online, but it didn’t go through on their end. She processed everything and I got a card for my keys to do a quick check in when I come in next time.
The class started on time and went amazingly fast. Since the classes are small, you get a lot of individualized attention. I didn’t bring socks with traction, so I found myself slipping a lot. They do sell the socks, so I think I’ll purchase them next time.
Overall, everyone was friendly and the class was nice. I am excited as well, because there are shower and facilities to get ready after your class.

The instructors and staff here are all so nice! The classes are also very effective. Your entire body is worked out during the hour long class. Your muscles shake and you feel like you’re completely pushing the limit, but who ever says that they regret working out once they do?! I recommend this for anyone looking to tone and have fun while working out.

The studio is beautiful and very clean. I enjoyed chatting with the front desk person who was very helpful. The instructors are very nice but will kick your butt during the workout. #SummerIsComing
