We are a unique children’s boutique that specializes in beautiful and functional children’s clothing, shoes, accessories and gifts. We offer complimentary giftwrap. We range in sizes newborn to 16 girls, newborn to 8 boys. We are in the heart of Midtown Sacramento, surrounded by unique boutiques.

Established in 1991.

We were located in Elk Grove for 21 years, and have recently moved to Midtown sacramento.

I absolutely love this place! Carol (the owner) is as sweet as can be and clearly loves her job! She is always so incredibly helpful when I come in to the shop. I always come here when my friends have babies to get newborn gifts. When I brought my 2 year old in, she was of course touching and grabbing everything, and Carol just laughed and entertained her so that I could shop! The shoe selection is really good and are the same prices or even better as online (saltwater sandals too) so I would much prefer to buy from here and support a local shop than a big online vendor. Such a great selection of dresses and other cute clothes for special occasions. And Carol will order anything that you need that isn’t in the shop!

Holy Cow, this place is just the absolute cutest on earth. It has such a variety of children’s clothes, books, accessories, stuffed animals, and more. The owner was so helpful, and the most pleasant to deal with.
Original items, beautifully kept, and so much fun to look around if you’re shopping for a baby shower, or a kiddo’s birthday, or just if you’re a mom (I’m not).
The prices are a little higher than I’m used to, but the experience and the items are SOOO worth the extra money spent.

Store hours listed as 12pm to 5pm on Sundays. I was on my way to a baby shower and got there at 12:03pm and it was closed. I waited outside the shop for 20 minutes, nobody there, doors locked and lights off. Looked everywhere for a special sign for today being closed, nothing. Checked the Facebook page for a notice, nothing. Too bad, store looked really cute.

I love this store! I always find beautiful outfits for all 3 of my kids (girl and 2 boys). The owner is always so helpful and kind. They really have a great selection for every age in every area of clothing. I can always find dresses, casual outfits, shoes, baby gifts, tights, etc.

I love The Moppet Shoppe… I used to frequent the store quite often when they were located in Elk Grove. My son ‘s barber was in the same strip mall. My daughter and I would make a beeline for the store while we waited for him to get a haircut. The customer service here is top-​notch. The owner will offer assistance without hovering and you don’t feel pressured to purchase anything. They have fun accessories and clothing and good quality shoes. I have been totally satisfied with the purchases I have made. Check this store out, especially for your birthday party and baby shower needs!

This is where parents and gift-​hunters should go for all things tyke-​related. Within the walls of this cozy shop you’ll find a better selection of brands and unique kid duds than any of the larger stores combined.
After just two months with an infant who naturally requires frequent outfit changes, I’ve grown tired of the common styles from big brands like Carter’s. At The Moppet Shoppe (great name, by the way) you’ll find some Carter’s-type stuff, but also some much smaller boutique lines that until now seemed to only be seen on stylish kids in commercials.
The only negative was when I started paying attention to some of the price tags. Some of these outfits cost quite the pretty penny. That’s not to say I wouldn’t buy something really special here, but it’s hard to justify $ 45 for a onesie my baby will probably outgrow, or soil beyond recognition, in a few months.

Came in to the store to buy my daughter her first pair of pediped shoes. I arrived right as the owner was opening the shop and she immediately helped me find the right size. The owner is very friendly and helpful. I definitely will be shopping here again.

My husband found their listing and I had really just wanted to quickly go to Target for what I needed, but I’m so glad I followed his suggestion instead and went to Moppet. I needed three specific things and I had good options to choose from and personalized service from the cashier… she was really helpful! Love this store. :)

As far as I’m concerned, this is THE place to go to spoil the grandkids. Fabulous selection of beautiful clothes for the wee ones up to school age. I went in last Saturday looking for something pretty specific and Alison led me right to not one, but three wonderful choices, all in the size I needed. The helpful owner also zeroed in on the perfect tights to go along with the Origany Owl dress– what a snap! Friendly, well stocked and great selection, this is a local business that has my business.

So, this one is compliments of my wife.
We needed shoes for our little guy who just started walking but hates having anything on his feet. I thought Nordstrom would be the best option, but stopped here on the way home from work first because I had received a fantastic shower gift from here from a friend. And am so glad I did.
This great shop offered amazingly knowledgable and patient guidance through top podiatrist recommended brands of adorable shoes. A real gem and so happy to support a local business. A perfect place for an original and memorable children’s or baby gift.

I’m new in town and didn’t know where to find a children’s boutique. I Unilocaled and went to three other places before I came upon this gem! The owner was extremely helpful and friendly.
