The guy who set us up in our Mini-Punchbug(Scoot Coupe?) was excellent, and didn’t insist on us purchasing unnecessary stuff. He explained things well and gave me a test drive in the lot. It cost $ 50/hour, or $ 70 for two hours. The great thing was that if we paid for two hours, but returned it in one hour, we only got charged for one hour(and visa-versa). They didn’t charge you until you returned it. It was very hard making a left out on the main road due to constant traffic. I didn’t know how fast this thing accelerated, so I waited a good 10 minutes. The only thing I didn’t like was that you had to sign a blank Visa slip. It’s for their protection in case you get a parking ticket.

I take my personal scooter here for service. Steve the service manage is super helpful. I liked that he definitely did not push any unnecessary service. They have a nice selection of scooters for sale… From cheap Chinese scooter to high end $ 7000 models. Along with the accessories(helmets, etc). A big chunk of their business looks like it come from the rental of scooters. They have a bunch for bunch in all shapes and sizes. It’s a good way to see St. Augustine, as the streets are often very narrow.

My husband and I rented bikes here for a day, and we had such a blast that we considered renting a second day. The bikes aren’t anything fancy. You have to pedal backward to brake, and there are no gears. However, they’re cheap(we rented for half a day and paid around $ 10 each) and the best way to get around St. Augustine if you want to cover a lot of ground in a day.

My wife & I had an excellent experience with our 24 rental of two scooters in St. Augustine. At $ 75 per scooter, I felt the price was very fair. I enjoyed how pleasantly they treated us, and even gave my wife a quick riding lesson in the parking lot, being patient with her & making sure we were safe. Helmets & glasses are included. Oddly, glasses are mandatory, helmets are not. Our scooters topped out around 32mph, which is perfect for downtown, but not great for A1A, US1, or heading out to Vilano Beach… which is why you are forbidden to take them in any areas with speed limits over 40mph. We found this rule to be a bit bothersome and ended up travelling well outside the pre-defined boundaries, knowing fully that no one was going to come pick us up if we became stranded. Great business and very convenient location next to the Comfort Suites if you plan on spending the night & renting a scooter.
