St. George Inn & Suites

I love the free breakfast. It’s actual food that is cooked in an actual kitchen. Hot eggs, biscuits and sausage gravy, ham omelettes. Those are the few different breakfasts that we had when we stayed during the summer. And they coffee was hot and fresh, cold milk and cereal, waffle makers, this place just puts home into your trip to st George. We always stay here now because it’s close to everywhere we need to go, a good price, hot free breakfast, and comfortable.
Beware of the salt in their pool, it’s salt water instead of chlorine. Besides the outdoor pool being slightly dirty and super salty, they also have a playground and a workout room, an indoor pool for when it’s cold and an indoor playground as well. The service is nice, the staff is always smiling.

Do you need a place to lay your head in St. George? You may enjoy this inexpensive establishment.
I love to pop up to St. George a couple of times a year. I have stayed in a couple of different places. I used Unilocal and the reviews on
to make a determination on where to stay. I decided on St. George Inn for these reasons: on the lower cost side, pools (indoor and outdoor), breakfast, good location.
It lived up to it’s billing. The kids loved the indoor pool. The hot tub was super hot and relaxing as the kids played in the pool. The beds were adequate and I didn’t have any issues sleeping. The breakfast was abundant and filling.
The one down side, which is an issue seen fairly often in discount hotels, the tub was eh. My daughter had issues with the draining. A lot of wiggling and I was able to make sure that the tub drained properly while I was in it.

This was one of the better (not super expensive) hotels I’ve stayed at in a LONG time. Staff was extremely personable and professional (the night desk clerk didn’t even have one hair out of place) and overall, it is very quiet. It seems that when they aren’t booked, they spread out the room distribution so there are less chances of noisy neighbors. The rooms were clean and cozy, the parking lot was very large, and there is at least one (very tempting) indoor pool and hot tub. Breakfast (not sure if the menu is changed frequently) consisted of Sausage gravy and biscuits, fruit, cereal, waffles, toast, bagels, muffins, and a few other pastries as well as coffee, juices, and milk. The ONLY downside is that internet service CAN be spotty depending on your room (i.e. closer or father away from router in building). Our room was eh in terms of this, but other guests said the internet was great. That was the only drawback in my opinion.

Great value for money. Nice room, very clean. Fridge and microwave available on the room. Outdoor and indoor pool. Decent breakfast. A lot of fast food restaurants around. Nice staff. Some issues with WiFi.

We are frequent Hampton Inn stayers. This location is clean and comparable to others. We had a two queen room which was a little smaller than average but still well appointed and clean. The front desk staff however were less than helpful. The two men covering the desk were nice enough but I had to extract information about the room, breakfast, luggage carts, check out time, etc. like a detective. Unacceptable in an area where affordable hotels are a dime a dozen. The breakfast was average for this chain. We also booked show tickets at a discount with the hotel to go to Tuacahn and the seats were great.

My wife and I were hesitant to stay at a new motel here in St. George, but were very pleasantly surprised! We have three children under the age of six, so this hotel is basically a parents dream. They put us in the family suite right next to the indoor playground, which has a ball pit. I later found out that they completely empty out the ball pit every two weeks, and wash the balls in a commercial machine. Impressive. The indoor pool was warm, The outdoor pool was nice as well. The outdoor pool has a playground, and a kiddie pool area. This is our new go to hotel stop on our way to Vegas, or California. In our Tuesdays, both of the front desk attendants of been very pleasant. The continental breakfast is also pretty good, better than a regular continental breakfast, not quite as good as Denny’s. Clean rooms, and the hotel had a good feel to it. We will definitely recommend it to our friends.
Like I had mentioned before, both of the people at the front desk I’ve worked with on both of our stays were very pleasant. One of them even went on to say how it was a family owned hotel, and how they do things right. She mentioned that she used to be in housekeeping, and shared their whole routine on cleaning out the ball pit. I like dealing with family run companies like this, especially when it’s seems like they treat their employees well. I feel good spending my money here, and will recommend others to stay here.

This is a great hotel for those on a road trip and need a clean, reasonably priced place for a night. Our rate for a queen bed was $ 63.00. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. I appreciated that the bed did not have a nasty bedspread that never gets cleaned on it. Instead it was covered. with an attractive sheet like cover, which I believe gets changed when the sheets are changed.
They have a free breakfast that included hot egg omelet and ham, waffles, oatmeal, cereals, fruit, and bread products. The eggs would have been better if they had not added the cheese, which was that processed cheese you would get over chips as cheap nachos. But, hey, it’s free.
There is a Denny’s, Burger King and a Black Bear restaurant right next door.
They have both an indoor and an out door pool and kids play area.
Really nice staff as well.

Comfy beds. Super clean! awesome price. nice staff, and a playground for little ones, can’t ask for more.

We stayed here for a night on our way to Phoenix. It was fairly inexpensive and the staff was very nice. No real frills to this hotel and it was perfect for our needs. My only complaint is that the Wi-​Fi was very slow.

If I could give this a zero, I would. I booked a room with St. George Inn & Suites through
, and asked for – and received – a guaranteed early check-​in (I had been driving across the state and needed to get ready for an early afternoon appointment.) When I arrived at the hotel, the girl at the front desk acknowledged that I had an early check-​in (it was right there on her computer), but said that they could not honor it. She informed me that check-​in was 3 p.m. and took my phone number, saying that IF they got a room cleaned, they would call me. Remember that I had a GUARANTEED early check-​in? I left, but did not feel right about the runaround, so I called
, who in turn spoke with the manager of the hotel. The manager said that I could have the early check-​in, but that I would need to pay an upfront charge of $ 31.00. This was IN ADDITION to the $ 56.00 already charged to my credit card! Believe me when I tell you that this is not an $ 87.00 a night hotel. I was sitting there, thinking… WHAT??? I asked
to cancel the booking, which they kindly did, and I called Dixie Palms. When I booked the room with them, I asked if I could have an early check-​in and was told that of course I could! Would there be an extra charge? Not at all! They would clean a room for me right away! Within 30 minutes, I was in a clean, air-​conditioned room, having experienced great customer service at the desk! I travel through St. George many times during the year. Will I ever again try to book a room at St. George Inn & Suites? Not in this lifetime.

Awesome place for a family. Affordable, breakfast was above par, and rooms were comfortable and clean. Already planning a return stay!

The ONLY reason this place is getting 5 stars is due to the customer service we got! The people at the front desk were BEYOND nice and attentive. we had hit a snag in our trip the night we arrived and had to find a new place to stay… late on a friday night during a holiday weekend… yea… not that easy. this place helped us as much as they could and i even told them they had some of the best service i have ever received!
the rooms are nothing special, just your typical motel rooms. but like i said… it was the great service we got that is the reason i am giving them 5 stars.

We stay in St. George for the same reason a lot of other Angelinos do – it’s a reasonable distance to drive after work when you’re going to Utah parks (or beyond). So all we really want is a nice, quiet, inexpensive place to sleep, and a big breakfast.
This place definitely delivers. Quick check-​in; clean, quiet rooms; excellent breakfast. We’ll probably stay here every time we are on a trip out there.

My husband and I stayed here when we went on a little getaway. We booked our room on a website (cant recall which one) and got a discounted rate. When we ran into a little issue with boarding for our dogs, they were more than accommodating with our situation! I love that they have an indoor and outdoor pool and also a playground! We don’t have kids but our nephew sure loved it! The breakfast was by far the best hotel breakfast I have had, just be sure to go early or a little later to avoid any schools that might be staying there for sports otherwise the line gets to be kind of long. We will be staying here again!

I had one of the worst experiences of my life at this hotel during the St. George Parade of Homes. For this reason alone, one star.
My wife and I checked in to the hotel and got an end suite. The hotel’s furnishings weren’t very nice but we’re not royalty and don’t need much. One night we were surprised to discover that the tub/​shower in our hotel room was quite large and was actually jetted. Excited about the discovery we decided to take a bath together, and we filled up the tub and dumped some shampoo by the water intake to make a «bubble bath».
It was very relaxing though the jetting appeared to turn on and off occasionally and we found that a bit odd. In any case, after we exited the tub and the bubbles cleared, we noticed a bunch of brown specs in the water, and thought they must have been rust from the pipes. I quickly realized that that was an awful lot of rust for a few pipes, and upon closer inspection we realized that they weren’t pieces of rust, but pieces of a chewed-​up cockroach that had (we’ve assumed) crawled into the air intake and been sucked in and cut into pieces!!! That’s why the jets cut off periodically because they were trying to suck disgusting bug entrails through the system!
Needless to say we were thoroughly grossed out! We bathed in 1000 cockroach pieces!!! I’ve stayed in some shady places and NEVER had a problem with roaches. We told management when we checked out and told hotel staff about the issue to which they replied «Well that is unfortunate. We’ll check that out». UNFORTUNATE?! That’s your customer service answer?! Thanks for acknowledging that this disgusting experience was «unfortunate»!!
In any case, I doubt the problem has been checked out at all, but I’ve learned my lessons! 1) Don’t stay at this hotel. 2) Be sure to run your jetted tub for a while to make sure you’re not going to take a bath in 1000 cockroach pieces.
If you decide to stay here — don’t use the bath, sleep deeply, and enjoy the breakfast and pool, as these were the only half-​decent things about this place. Yuck. For almost $ 100/​night I think you can find better.

Pretty darn nice for a pet-​friendly motel. They do charge a pet fee, but it was reasonable ($ 15) and while it is supposed to be per-​pet, the desk attendant on duty while I was checking in did not ask me how many dogs I had. Breakfast was about what I have come to expect from places that offer «deluxe» Continental style … you know, the waffle iron so you can make something hot, bagels, pastries, cereal, fruit, etc. Can’t speak to any of the other amenities since I arrived late & left early.

This place was run down and unimpressive. It was not very clean and the décor, carpet, and amenities did not seem to be updated since the 1970s.
I have lived in better places during my years of being a poor, starving, college student.
I will not be returning to this establishment, regardless of how low the price is. The price of cheap is very reflective of the «cheapness» of the upkeep of the hotel… I mean motel.

Super friendly staff. Clean rooms. Good price. Indoor pool. What more can a traveler want? Huzzah!

30 mins trying to check in. The front desk rep is nowhere to be found. They gave me a discount. Outdated rooms, but they are clean and the price is right. Great indoor and outdoor swimming pool. Big breakfast with waffles. Save some money and come here.

All in all, this was a nice stay for a great price. We stayed here mid-​May, and got a double queen room for about $ 65 a night + tax.
The pool area was quite nice — clean, warm, and pleasant. There was an indoor pool as well, but we didn’t venture that way. Nor did I take advantage of the indoor exercise facility.
Also noticed that there was a playground outside for the kiddos — add that alongside the kiddie pool, and you’ve got a good place to stay if you’re traveling with kids.
The breakfast was nice — waffle irons, cereal, muffins and some steel cut style oatmeal. It was up there with most chain hotel breakfasts, for sure.
The one major downside was that the Wi-​Fi was a total failure. It worked sporadically for the first few minutes, then died entirely, leaving us with nothing. Lobby said that the problem was on our end, as the modem was working — but when four different laptops try to connect and all fail… the problem is on your end, guys.
