Zinfandel Inn

I thought Barbara & Jerry were both very friendly and accommodating… They served us a great breakfast with fresh pastries all three mornings we were there. Zinfandel Inn is centrally located, which is nice for first time visitors getting the lay of the land. The décor is a bit outdated, and I think a queen sized bed is a little small for the cost per night, but it’s not something I would complain about.

Great weekend at this awesome place. Best breakfasts in any B&B that I ever stayed at!

I spent a lovely weekend at the Zinfandel Inn. The room was immaculate and comfortable, and the hosts warm and gracious. Breakfast was not only tasty but the presentation was exquisite. Many wineries and gardens within walking distance. I will definitely be staying at the Inn for my next trip to Napa.

Love this place. Perfect location in St Helena with easy access to all of Napa. Clean and full service B&B with great hosts and amenities.

Jerry & Barbara are wonderful hosts. We had the biggest room-​KIng Suite. Perfect! Didn’t get a chance to use the deep 2 person tub, but enjoyed the 2 headed shower. Loved our peaceful private patio that overlooked trees and the outdoor hot tub. Very quiet & enjoyed the castle look of the property. The breakfast was fun. Met a couple from Santa Barbara. We had eggs benedict, banana muffins, scones and fresh fruit. Everything was homemade! Yum! Yum!

My mom and I were looking to spend a weekend in Napa and stumbled on Zinfandel Inn on
. We booked online for Friday and Saturday night, but in the week prior to our arrival Jerry was already very helpful, answering our questions over the phone and recommending a car service during the day.
The house itself is lovely and clearly they have put a lot of time into making sure everything is well put together and comfortable. The house felt spacious and had a large lawn in the back. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that there was a hot tub, pool and small bottles of champagne in our room! Jerry also gave us a generous upgrade for a great price and practically in the same breath offered to drive us to dinner the next night after we finished our wine tour. Very generous!
Breakfast was at 8:45 and delicious. Both mornings that we were there we started with a variety of homemade baked goods and then Jerry served a hot main dish. They were both very personable and kind throughout the meal and whenever we had questions during the day.
We would definitely come back!

Terrible experience staying here for our wedding anniversary, ruined the trip. Where to begin. Décor was like staying at grandma’s, which is maybe par for the course on this style of B&B. Jerry’s attitude started soon after arrival. I’m vegan, and he suggested he could cut some grass up from the lawn to feed me. He said he’d turn the hut tub on, and we tried to use it it was Luke warm. Turned out something was broken. For what he is charging, things should not be broken. Was very difficult to get ahold of him for any issues while we were guests. Stay away.

Come on, Jerry!!! You’re really going to deny the request of two amazingly sweet guests? You make a ‘killing’ on your rooms. Don’t be stingy a**holes on your air conditioning. Please, be considerate and understand that people come from different climates than you do. We actually need a climate in our room different than you. HUMANS live in this world that you live in.

We stayed at Zinfandel Inn in St. Helena for two nights in June 2012. We arrived on a Saturday evening and felt at home instantly. Sitting in their driveway, we devoured a sandwich from V. Sattui and sampled the fruit of the overhanging loquat tree.
The room was great. We had the suite overlooking the back yard. A California queen complete with a large tiled tub/​Jacuzzi, a two person shower, a nice couch and comfy chairs that rotated and rocked by the window, and a great little deck over the beautifully treed back yard.
We were there for a wonderful event at the Castle Winery, Castello Di Amborosa: a medieval festival that was beyond expectations. It was about five miles from the Inn. Jerry offered to pick us up after the event. We ended up driving ourselves home but it was nice knowing we had the option.
Napa is a Mecca for wine enthusiasts. The wine is amazing here and stands up to the great wines of Italy and France. We discovered a connection to Czechoslovakia and Italy with fellow guests, exchanged stories about our travels to great wineries and shared our love of wine during breakfast.
Breakfasts were home cooked by Jerry and Barbara and served in a beautiful dining room. The first morning, we enjoyed gringo rancheros, Jerry’s version of huervos rancheros, along with homemade scones, chocolate croissants, a fruit cup with yogurt and cereal. Sunday morning we had a lovely variation of Eggs Benedict with lemon muffins, zucchini bread and scones with lemon and berries. Yum!!!
We highly recommend the Zinfandel Inn. We even had a split of champagne in our room upon arrival.

Had a great experience here. We spent the day winetasting, had dinner and by the time we got here, it was about 11pm. This place looks nice at night when it’s lit up. We hit the hot tub around midnight, got a good night’s rest and woke up to some delicious breakfast. Jerry and his wife are very welcoming.

Top of the line Bed and Breakfast in Napa Valley. Just a lovely location, beautiful grounds and the room was fantastic. Had the Zinfandel room, of course, with a large room and bed, tile deep two person tub, double shower, upstairs patio with pretty view and table for sitting and sipping good wine.
Has an outdoor jacuzzi and a swimming pool on the property. The Inn has only three rooms, so it is very cozy. It is as if you are in a large home. Very secluded. Furnishings are top notch, handsome interiors with wonderful decorations and wallpaper.
Breakfast was a full B&B fare. Muffins, scones, bagels, fruits, yogurt, orange juice, coffee, tea. Then came a special dish with hash browns, cheese all topped with some nicely cooked eggs.
This is the special place for a romantic getaway, hands down, in Napa.

I wish I would of taken pictures of the room. It was the nicest place ever. Big comfy bed. Jet tub. Patio outside our room. Double shower. Great breakfast. Jerry, the owner was a lovely gentleman. I never wanted to leave. We were blessed to have stayed there. If you are in the mood for the best weekend please stay at these people’s house. You will be refreshed after you leave. Plenty of great wine tastings around as well as resturaunts.
