Oh, finally tried their pizza. Damn that Sicilian curst is good! If you are tired of the cracker like crust of a St. Louis style pizza get this thing! Bellacino’s Pride pizza I think is the best one. You’ll wonder why thin crust pizza ever became popular. I still like their sandwiches they are good there are a few better out there but not many. The salads, well… their salads still suck.

What can I say, I love me some Bellacinos. We almost exclusively get take out from there and I get a half Italian specialty and my husband gets a BLT. We then split a small pepperoni pizza. It’s all tasty.

The sandwich I had was great. The pizza has been less than stellar and to be fair, I’ve gone twice for it. Probably the most disappointing part of the experience each time has been the apathetic service from what seems to be unhappy people. Even when the store is slow it was bad so I can’t blame it on that. I won’t go back but that doesn’t mean you should not give it a shot. You never know, it could be your lucky day.

We were out in the Melville area and didn’t want to hit traffic so we figured we should stop in and grab some food instead. We grabbed the chicken alfredo pizza because it seemed different than the norm that we get. Our pizza was a bit burnt and the sauce lacked flavor. From the reviews of this place I’m thinking we just came on a bad day or ordered the wrong thing. The grinders look good and I think if we came back we would probably just stick to one of those.

Just stopped in since we wanted to try something different and we were in the area. Fast, friendly service at the counter… and you get your own sodas so really no wait staff. I had a server at another location but here you just order at the counter. They DO bring out your food to you though.
We ordered a Reuben and a Chicago Steak grinder… both half orders. The grinders are HUGE!!! Even the half order… so it’s easy to share. We also had eyes bigger than our stomachs so we ordered the cheese garlic bread.
I added photos of everything so you can see how they looked and imagine how they tasted… soooooooo good!!! I’m kinda glad this place isn’t close to our house since I don’t need to eat here all the time. :)

I’m a pretty simple girl. Less is more in my book i’d say. SO, i have been going to Bellacino’s for a long, long time now. I just get the chicken with mayo, cheese and lettuce. Every time. Ive never gotten anything else and i still wont get anythign else haha (I told you im simple). Well, as surprised as I was — and you’re going to be — they of course, MESSED it up haha. Food is great, but if you want anything customized other than how it comes, dont even try! ;)

Food good but workers need to be friendlier and more attentive. Girl taking order distracted by coworkers. Woman who gave us our food had a bad look on her face and not friendly.

OH MY GOD YOU GUYS THEY HAVE SANDWICHES ALMOST AS LONG AS MY ARM
So…maybe there are better places downtown (Planet Sub is p. good~) or in the Loop, but otherwise Bellacino’s is my favorite sub place in St. Louis. Their pizza is pretty good (I haven’t had the salad in literal years, but I remember it being like salad under this inch-​thick layer of cheese under some grilled chicken), but their grinders — 16in long toasted sandwiches with thick bread and fresh veggies — are the main attraction.
And they’re really, really good! Fresh veggies and fillings and such, meats and cheese that don’t taste like GUMMINT PROCESSED MEAT AND OR CHEESE PRODUCT that you get in 25lb boxes or whatever, and light menu offerings that don’t taste blah (and while the light section is a little small, they’ll use fat-​free cheese/​mayo on other subs if you ask~)…
Friendly staff and clean restrooms also a plus. But yeah! Go here, get your astonishingly large sandwichin’ on. (Pssst, the Bayou, Italian, and Chicken Light are really tasty.)

When I go out to eat, I don’t really think about picking a sub place but I did a dare and stopped by and I wasn’t let down.
They have lunch specials galore and there’s going to be something you will want off the menu. They will not combine coupons with specials, so keep that in mind if you’re an avid coupon user.
My hubby got one of their hot sandwiches while I got the pizza/​salad combo. It was just the right size and both came out fresh and hot.
Pretty clean area, staff was nice and ready to help.
Great place to stop by if you’re in the mood for something different, fast and not bad for you.

My first experience was the Meatball and Bacon 8 inch pizza (details in the quick tips). We got there about an hour before closing and they were still friendly. :) The restrooms were fairly clean and the dining area had a few tables still not wiped down, but that was taken care of within a few minutes of us walking in. I would definitely come again!!!

I tried this place the other day and they were really good, Tried their Italian Grinder and it was really good. The price could be lower, but hey its worth the money! I would recommend trying them!

they have great grinders. the pizza is great also, the restrooms are very clean also. tonight’s special was 1 topping pizza garlic bread and salad for $ 19.99. They have a nice big screen TV on the sports station.

Two words: Parmesan Sticks. These are not cheese sticks but bread sticks covered/​drowning in Parmesan sprinkled cheese.
I ADORE these bread sticks. I do not get it with tomato sauce though, I get it with the buttermilk ranch dressing to dip them in. YUMFEST!
Their sandwiches are oven baked and are very good.
They even have low fat sandwiches that have low fat cheese on them!
The pizzas are good and do not use provel cheese, 100% mozzarella.
The interior is clean and casual.
Absolutely worth going for a lunch, call ahead, or a very casual dinner.

Ok… I thought I had found the best sandwich ever… I thought a veggie sub was just a veggie sub… oh no… not the case…
This is a hot veggie sub… and it’s AMAZING. I am not kidding, I have never had anything so delicious between two pieces of bread. The sandwich was hot, the veggies were crisp and roasted, the cheese was melted to perfection, the bread was amazing… I loved everything about it. All you need is a half sandwich, which will run just under $ 5 and will fill you up plenty. Seriously, this place is just amazing. You must try it.
They also sell pizza and salads and an array of other foods, but I have yet to steer away from the veggie sub. It’s nothing short of amazing and totally worth trying. Thank God they put one of these by my house… I will be gaining weight accordingly…
