Ok, I have to preface this review with a bit of a disclaimer. My half sister, Jessy, owns this bar. Also, I’m kind of a yuppy, I know. So this isn’t normally my kind of hang out. But every time I’ve gone, I’ve had(way too much) fun. Yes, it’s in a questionable part of town, but Jessy works really hard to make sure people and their cars are safe when they are in her bar and leaving her bar. She hires security on busy nights to specifically watch cars. If she doesn’t recognize your face, she will come talk to you and make you feel welcome. If you aren’t having fun, she will see to it that you start. I’m not saying this just because she is my sister, people LOVE Jessy. They love her and they will tell you so. The bar attracts Harley riders and union guys, but the crowd is pretty diverse. The place is HUGE(great for groups) and houses a couple pool tables as well as a stage where she books bands. One of her main weekly attractions is Spaghetti Wrestling on Thursday nights. Yes, two women of Jessy’s picking, in a blow up pool with a whole bunch of oil and noodles. I’ve been once and, let me tell you, it is quite a spectacle. Even if you just go for the irony, it will make you laugh once you get past being totally freaked out by it. In the summer time, they host sand volley ball. There is a huge fenced in area/back yard. Jessy hosts a lot of special events and parties, so be sure to stop in if you’re looking for something to do around the holidays. The Bistro also has a fully-equipped kitchen and they serve a whole menu of bar-type food. I recommend the onion petals(with Jessy’s own home made sauce), or a pizza with some of the(in)famous Jessy juice(a sweet, fruity concoction I have seen her make that is sure to light you up). The people at the bistro love to rock and love to party. I will tell you, this 3’oclock bar is your pre-Pop’s place to stop. And if you see Jessy, and you’ll know it when you do, tell her I sent you.
