Our clinicians use a multidisciplinary, strength based approach to assess and treat a broad spectrum of issues using techniques from Attachment Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Systems Theory. The therapists at Foundations For Change work with each client to assist them in overcoming their issues and concerns and reach their full potential. The focus is often on learning to regulate thoughts, feelings and behaviors to achieve each client’s personal goals.
History
Established in 2012.
Foundations for Change was created by three clinicians, Sara Allen, Dana Baker and Alexandria Boyer, who met while working in an adolescent male residential facility. After working with these youth for several years, it became evident that early intervention for these youth and their families could have easily put these them on a much more successful path. Foundations for Change was established based on the basic premise that change can occur through healthy relationships and learning to build new skills to change negative thoughts, feelings and behaviors. This premise grew into a thriving practice that includes therapeutic services for adults, children, adolescents and families.
