My boyfriend bought me a Groupon to this place. After waiting more than 15 minutes to be seen for my appointment and complaining about it, the staff was extremely rude to me. The technician asked me rudely if I’d picked my color yet and did a really poor job of filing my nails. I finally walked out. There was no sense of customer service there.

Good manicure but difficult to schedule appointment sand the service takes longer than most manicures.

So… I initially found this place because of a Groupon. I called and made an appointment the same day, and some kind of way the wires got crossed, and when I arrived my nail tech wasn’t there. So I waited for about 30 mins past my appointment for her to show up. I will say that I enjoyed the mani once I got it. The salon itself is very… ghetto. People talk SO loud that you can hear ALL their business… the lady who I guess is the receptionist has no people skills(will NOT talk when you check out unless you are a regular that she likes). So, I don’t know if I’d necessarily recommend this place…

The salon itself is not being reviewed! I am only reviewing my manicurist and gel manicure. DONOTUSE. I wish I had the guts to get, up, and leave. She was 15 minutes late getting to the salon. No apology. Her equipment for gel was dirty and the heat part was very hot. As a previous reviewer noted thank goodness she did not use tools as her santizer needed to to be santized. I refused the paraffin dip as it was nasty looking. No lotion, Thank goodness as her lotion top needed wiping off. My person was not talkative. I had to ask her to be more gentle as she used a wood cuticle pusher on my nails. I would not ever go back. I will say the salon itself seemed friendly and much cleaner then her broken down, cramped, dirty room.

I got a hair cut by a barber named Drop. I’m so glad that I found this young man. He was on time and did a great job for a new client. The shop was clean, no crowds. That was great for a Saturday — he operates primarily by appointments and he really took care with my cut– very precise detailing and a really clean clipper shave, this guy has a great service attitude. Give Drop a try if you are looking for tight cut in a great atmosphere.

We were going to be in town for a weekend event and the person who was supposed to do our color never got back to me, so I called Marc Steven’s Hair Gallery in a panic, trying to get an appointment for a Saturday morning(the busiest day and time), and needing to be out(color & all) before noon. Thankfully, he was able to squeeze us in during my desired timeframe. My DD got a light brown ombré; her first color. It turned out great! Fabulous job! And Marc was able to turn her naturally curly mane into silky straight tresses in record time. I wanted a red tint(no lift) for autumn/winter. They tried one brand of color rinse and after inspecting the dried result, Marc insisted that he wouldn’t send me home like that.(You couldn’t see any trace of red.) They quickly worked and applied a red demi-color that ended up being a perfect auburn shade. Love it! My hair is naturally curly, but a drier and courser texture than my DD’s hair. I have no relaxing or straightening chemicals in my hair. Marc tamed my curly, frizzy, dry afro and transformed it into soft, flowing locks, using nothing more than the magic of his flat iron and his supernatural, God-given talents.(No extensions, no weaves.) Things that I loved about Marc Stevens Gallery: 1-Professionalism. When I called to request the impossible, I was never made to feel like it was an impossible or ludicrous request, and I received a call back within the promised amount of time. 2– Marc was a perfectionist. He obviously takes pride in his work; it shows. He wants it done right, and will keep at it until it’s perfect. 3– He didn’t use any heavy oils or harsh sprays, which some stylists like to put in our hair. Our hair was left light and bouncy. 4 — I did NOT have to wait 8 hours to be serviced. My DD was called back within minutes of our arrival, and I went shortly after. Both of us were in and out, with color, in about 3 hours. I know that they offer other services, nails, waxing, etc, but I haven’t utilized these services so I’m unable to comment on them. It’s a gorgeous salon with elegant décor and bright, open spaces. There were several full length mirrors for checking out your fresh ‘do. Great service. Awesome job on our color and blow-out/flat irons. Reasonable prices. We are happy, satisfied customers. I have no doubt that I’ll be using Marc Stevens Gallery for any and all hair service needs whenever I’m in the St. Louis area.

I went here for the $ 17 groupon for the gel manicure and paraffin dip. You definitely get what you pay for. You don’t get a full manicure experience(i.e. no tools used to get rid of dead skin, barely any cuticle care). My technician barely seemed to know how to file my nails. She was very nice and talkative though. The appointment took about 1 hour and 25 minutes which I thought was too long for just a manicure and dip. My gel nails look VERY subpar. The polish extended onto my nail beds and skin which means it will come off and chip probably in a few days now. I would not recommend this place for nails.

I needed to get my nails done for an upcoming wedding so my first place to search for deals was Groupon. This salon was offering a gel manicure with paraffin dip for half price, so I decided to give it a try. I had to book an appointment, but they were able to get me in the same afternoon(should I have been worried? not sure). As I am writing this, I still don’t know if I would recommend this place to others for nails… hence the three star«A-OK» review. It was a very strange appointment; definitely unprofessional as there was quite a bit of eating and/or talking on the phone while my nails were being painted(literally). The appointment also took over an hour which I thought was a little lengthy. On the flip side, I think my nails turned out pretty well! From what I could tell, there was only one table for nails so I wouldn’t recommend this for any kind of group. Also, obviously wouldn’t recommend this if you are in a hurry. All in all, if you have time, a groupon and a sense of humor, you’ll end up okay!

I haven’t gotten my hair done here; I can only comment on the waxing. I get my bikini and Brazilian waxing done by a woman named Lawanna Green. Hopefully, she is still there because I would this lady to the ends of the Earth! The mood is always relaxing and Lawanna takes her time. There is never a rush job to get waxed with her. There have been a couple of times where I’ve fallen asleep while my legs were getting waxed because her station is so peaceful. Of course, I was fully awake for the Brazilian. So if you were getting your haircut and heard somebody yelling the F word from across the room, it was probably me.

This place is great. Nice clean salon. They do a great job styling, i have had 3 good hair cuts and one excellent haircut. Its the same staff every time you in, which is nice. Good price, and they can usually get you in that day. What i really like about this place is the service. they treat the haircut more like an event, and make you feel relaxed. They go the extra mile trimming beard, etc.
