Masoumi’s Heating & A/C

To say I had a bad experience with Ali Masoumi would be an understatement.
To start out, he showed up two hours late. In short order, he broke something. I don’t know if it was intentional or out of ineptitude. Then, he wanted to charge us to fix it. When we refused, he flew into a rage and started cursing in Farsi. My spouse and children were terrified. Since I don’t speak Farsi, Ali was nice enough to translate his foul language into English. Then he proceeded to make sexist remarks about women.
After a lot of back and forth, he relented and said he would fix his error at no charge. Then, he tried to sell me a part for 20 times what it would cost for me to pick it up at a hardware store. Next, he tried to pretend to do what I had brought him to do, without actually doing it. When I called him on it, more drama, foul language, accusations, threats, etc. For the whole two hours he was at our house, he kept relentlessly trying to scam us. It was one thing after another. He certainly exhibited a lot of drive and creativity — if only he would use them for something legitimate. By the time he left, we were completely drained and exhausted. It took every ounce of vigilance and strength we had in order not to get scammed in by this man.
The next day, we called St. Louis County to file a complaint against Ali. That’s when we found out he was not licensed and was therefore operating illegally. We also found negative reviews about him. We should have done our homework before we called him.
