South County Dodge Chrysler Jeep

Great dealership. I dealt with Ryan O’Leary. I was upfront about exactly what I wanted and what I could afford. He worked with me and was able to make the deal happen, no muss no fuss. Ryan and the finance manager Joe were very polite, friendly, and professional. At no time did I ever feel as though I was having to play games. No one tried to add on extras during the financing process (ok, they did try to sell me an extended warranty but were not pushy in any way). If I were shopping for another Chrysler product I would gladly drive 30 miles out of my way to shop at South County versus my two local dealers.

The salesperson was nice and funny and did what he could for me. But the finance person was rather rude initially and wasn’t very nice. I’m trying to buy a car from you, yet you are being rude to me? Didn’t quite understand that. But I did get a good deal!

At to his dealer the word «appointment», for service must mean something else. I took my van in yesterday for an appointment to diagnose a check engine light today. They know my phone number, I have taken both vehicles there several times over the last 2 years. It’s past 10PM. Did they look at the car? Do they have any idea what is wrong? Who knows? They have not called or returned an answer to my voice mail. I am so tired of this place, they simply don’t care about my inconvenience. That’s okay, I have purchased 4 or 5 vans from them over the last decade. I won’t buy another one here.

I hate buying cars. Everything about the process makes me uncomfortable. I am analytical and do a LOT of research before I even step foot into a dealership. Basically, I am a dealerships’ worst nightmare.
But I can not say enough WONDERFUL things about my experience at South County Dodge. My salesman, Tim Hard, provided the best, honest service I have ever experienced when purchasing a vehicle. It was a fair deal and I felt good leaving South County Dodge with my new car. It was the first time I’ve had a pleasant experience purchasing a vehicle. I can guarantee you will not regret purchasing a vehicle from SCD and Tim.

Great sales staff, «Zip» was great as well as the Finance Manager, when I bought my 2009 Jeep Liberty Limited in Jan. 2014. Since then on the service, not so much. I have take my Jeep back 3x now for repairs and it still has the same problem, this will be the 3^rd time. Tom P., the Service Advisor is awesome!, but the Service Manager, Tony, is NOT! I spoke to him today about having to return my Jeep there again, 3x in less than 3 weeks. I tried speaking to him about the repeated problems, but he got rude and talked over me and I was very pleasant to him and feel I have been very understanding with this department with not fixing my Jeep. The one issue is now worse than it was, he mostly told me he would cover a 1 day rental, but they have had my Jeep for more than 1 day and it was covered, but he said, «well, I just don’t need you with any surprises.» SURPRISES? Then fix it right the first time. I was patient when last week their Mechanic got sick and left my Jeep for a few days, and they called and I had to rush back over there to return the rental, then I found 2 broken parts of my seat belts, that was sad to not be honest and just say they broke them and replace them, and this is the 2^nd time my Navigation/​Traffic has not worked since they had my Jeep in the last 2 weeks. I called SIRIUS and they said the code was not an issue on their part, but something the dealership did to it and the complete system will need to be replaced. I told Tony that today and he was not concerned at all, more concerned about the charge to me for the rental. I have now placed a few calls to Karen Cunningham, whom I was told is his boss and the OWNER of the dealership, no calls today. I will have to call JEEP now to let them assist me… what a sad thing…

There’s a right way and a wrong way to sell a person a car and our salesman, Rodney Brown knew the right way. After hours of dealing with rude or inept salesmen at other dealerships, we were starting to get discouraged. When we parked at South County Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram, Rodney greeted us before we could even get inside the door and he was immediately courteous and helpful. We had a specific vehicle on the lot we were looking for, and he asked us why we preferred that one, and when he heard our criteria, not only did he understand, but offered us one that was even better that we’d somehow overlooked when searching online.
Where other dealership policies can be pretty intrusive (gathering names, email addresses, phone numbers) Rodney didn’t ask us for any of that until we had decided we wanted to test drive and then he only took a copy of our license (which I’m thinking is more than reasonable.)
For the test drive, he let me and my wife sit in the front while he sat in the back and kept our 5 year old entertained for the entire drive, all while very helpfully answering any questions we had. We loved the car (a very reasonably priced 2012 Town and Country) and decided to buy it immediately.
Everyone knows the formalities of buying a car can be tedious, and it’s even harder when you have an impatient 5 year old with you, but Rodney had a video player ready for her that kept her glued to her seat through the entire process. He was pleasant to talk to and did everything he could to accommodate us throughout.
I’ve only bought 4 cars in my entire life and most of the experiences weren’t very memorable, but this purchase was and we will definitely make South County our first stop when looking for our next car!

I go there for parts and service on my 2007 Jeep Wrangler.
They are excellent. Whether by appointment or via their «Express Lane» which is for non-​appointment oil change service, I have never been disappointed.
Friendly, competent staff and mechanics with a clean waiting area and restrooms.
I trust these guys to do the job with competitive pricing and genuine MOPAR parts.
My only complaint is that if you’re coming from the west on Lindbergh you have to pass the address and pull a u-​turn in front of the mall or further down in order to get into their business.

the service department at south county chrysler is excellent… Tom Moore the service manager took care of all of my concerns when I had an issue with my 2004 Sebring… won’t take my vehicle to any other service department!
