For a neighborhood store that’s off the beaten path, I was pleasantly surprised by their pretty good selection of bourbon. Also, the prices seemed generally reasonable.
Somebody asked if I needed help, which was nice.

I have a friend who is originally from MN and absolutely loves Schell’s beer. On my last trip to St Paul, I brought back a sampler pack for him to enjoy and we both thoroughly appreciated «Schell’s Dark.» I was bound and determined to bring back a case or two with my next trip.
Unfortunately, I failed my mission, through no fault of Sarrack’s. Turns out Schell’s doesn’t make a ton of that magical elixir, so supply is limited. Grrrrrr.
+ Easy to get to from I-​94
+ Plenty of parking
+ Definitely an old school, family-​owned liquor store (I like these)
+ Super friendly staff — they searched high and low for the Schell’s Dark
+ Plenty of coolers serving up cold brews
+ Nice selection of local and domestic micro brews
+ prices were plenty fair
Can’t ask for much more.
