Mungioli’s Sandwiches & Subs

The breakfast pastries are delicious! My office moved across the street, but I haven’t had a chance to get over there yet to have one. That’s going to have to be something I take care of really soon :)

As the cousin of the owner’s wife, this review is going to be biased a little bit. However, a little bias never hurt anyone, no? It can also be a very good thing too.
The bakery, which is run by Ronnie and Toni Mungioli, here in Salem is known for baking some of the greatest breads, cakes, and assorted baked goods in town. The best time to visit is during the morning hours, which is when it’s open. The store does close around the early afternoon, so make time to stop by here while in town. Trust me on this now because you will NOT regret it. Locals stop in here and sometimes to purchase a bite to eat and then go off to work, some purchase a bite to eat and then sit at one of the booths to eat and stay a while and catch up on news and gossip. The baked goods, ranging from cookies to pastries, are great tasting and worth indulging in. Well worth the time and well worth the money.
Toni, who works at the front counter, is the owner’s wife and she’s a very nice person. So if you find yourself in the area and decide to stop in for a treat, tell them that her cousin, Sarah Nelson, sent you!
