One Call Junk Haul

Wow! Their price includes RECYCLING many items and donating my saleable goods to charity partners like Goodwill. If I’d known this (rather than taking it all to landfill), I would have called them 3 years ago! The details are on their website: which items they can recycle, hazardous waste surcharges, etc. It’s all posted which I appreciated.
Talk about responsive ?! I called at 3 pm on Dec 30. We talked about a rough estimate on the phone and they scheduled me for 19 hours later on New Years Eve day. They arrived in a great truck, on-​time and gave me a firm estimate after seeing my debris. We agreed and 2 hours later, Steve and Colin had created a new half– basement for us. Very nice guys, asked questions to make sure they were hauling out the correct items. I am so excited to have found a professional crew that recycles and donates in addition to the usual disposal at landfill.
We will be calling them again soon when clean our attic!

Have to update my review. Still an awesome business! OCJH stands out to me for their reliability and the pleasant, hardworking young men who haul their junk. You can reach them at the drop of a hat by phone or email (thanks Jesse, Steve, and Jack). They are easy to schedule, and flexible. Once they arrive, these guys really work fast and hard. They are also a cheerful group– something I find impressive. Couldn’t be happier! After using OCJH at work and at my own apartment, I just asked them to help on a huge job– cleaning out twenty years’ worth of junk from a five floor industrial building. Good price, great work, great company.

I must say I was very pleased with this service. One call and my junk was gone. Steve came with his cousin (Sorry I forgot your name) and within say 2 hours junk was gone. They were so kind and worked with my schedule. Would I recommend this place? «YES! Was the price reasonable? Definitely! Thank you so much for all your help. I couldn’t have done this without your help.

Put a request in on a Saturday asking for a Sunday pick up… knowing that was kind of last-​minute. Received a prompt email response they don’t work on Sundays. I asked if they could come Monday morning at 8am or 9 AM. They confirmed via email that they could do 9 AM on Monday morning. They called Monday morning to confirm they were coming. They showed up exactly on time. Cleaned up all the junk in 15 minutes. Very friendly, great service, fair price, would recommend.

First and foremost, check THE WEBSITE (though, even that isn’t a creditable source). Groupon: «$ 199 for half truckload (up to 600 pounds) of junk removal ($ 349 value)» seems like a great deal right? That is if you’re hauling out up to 600lbs… of just handheld dumbbells.
HERE’S THE CATCH: pay close attention to the «half truckload» statement. Yes, we’re bound to a limit of 600lbs in weight, but as for the size of the items? «Half truckload, or quarter truckload» is a very vague description, and very misleading to the Groupon customers. What are the dimensions/​descriptions to your trucks? Any images of the trucks? What are the size limits of OUR items bound to? In the Groupon fine print it says we have a limit of up to ‘X amount’ for weight, but where does it say that we are limited to ‘X amount’ in cubic feet per item? It doesn’t. No details regarding VOLUME. NOTHING.
And you won’t find that out until THE DAY OF THE JUNK REMOVAL. When the movers reveal to you that you’re over the volume limit for your items, even if you’re under the weight limit. Which means you’re forced to pay extra on the spot, (or entirely something more) and not the price you bought the Groupon with.
Jesse, whom I assume is in charge of coordinating the movers and booking appointments, was also very vague in the description of the Groupon offer. He basically read the description off the Groupon fine print when I was booking the appointment with him and absolutely mentioned NOTHING about the size limitations in cubic feet UNTIL I confronted him over the phone ON THE DAY OF the junk removal; to which he also quickly became defensive in his tone of voice.
So what are customers presumably faced with? We’re faced with either paying a higher price (not what was purchased on Groupon) so they’ll do their job, or wait and make an appointment with another (more legitimate) junk removal service, which, inevitably becomes a waste of everyone’s time. Most customers, I assume, (like myself) surrenders and just pay the higher cost because at the end of the day, we need our crap to be removed ASAP. Even though I paid $ 60 more than what I had purchased on Groupon, it’s fair to say it’s still money, and this, I’m sure adds up when customers keep falling in to this false advertisement.
Yeah, they’re professional junk removers. Though, to be honest, they’re more in the profession as scam artists. Even one of the movers tried to pin the blame on Groupon saying that the «Groupon website» needed to be updated, and «sometimes the descriptions are wrong.»
C’mon man, you looked me straight in the eyes and blatantly lied to my face.

Jesse and his team were great! Fast, professional, and displayed great communication during the entire visit! I needed my entire garage cleaned out and it totaled 1500 lbs. It only took them 50 minutes and they were done. Everything was swept and clean. I’ll defintely be calling this guys again, great work and very professional!

The trash removal of approximately 13,000 pounds of junk over a time period of 12 + hours was done expertly, courteously and professionally. The company’s employees were were very helpful and considerate.
Without any doubt, we would refer this company to others and would hire them again in a nanosecond.

I have been looking for a junk removal service for a few months to clean out my basement.
The quotes I’ve got from a few other places discouraged me to move forward and almost give up spending so much money to dispose worthless junk.
I am glad to make the phone call to one call junk haul for their reasonable rate to finally check one thing off of my list before the year is over.
They communicated well for their arrival and took extra steps to make the process more efficient.

Very fair pricing — they honor Groupon pricing (½ off) and extended that to a much larger job than I originally thought I had. Very professional and easy to work with. I highly recommend.

Very happy with this service. Two guys arrived promptly and removed stuff in my basement that was ruined by water damage. Both guys were very pleasant and they removed the junk in a flash. Would not hesitate to use their services again if the need should arise.

This company worked out perfectly for me. I had a call to set up appointment right after I put in a request online. I received online and phone call confirmations. They were on time and were friendly, enthusiastic and professional. They removed all the «junk» in my basement in a careful, meticulous and methodical manner.

One Call Junk Haul exceeded my expectations in so many way… We had a large basement full of blocks, wood, old boilers etc that needed to be removed and when they finished it looked so amazing!!! We hired them again for a second project and were just as impressed!!! Wow Service!

Had a great experience with these guys — I bought a Groupon, and they booked me an appointment within the week. Explained exactly how things would work and kept in touch with me the day before and day of the haul to confirm the appointment and to let me know the status of the pickup. My pickup was over the weight I had paid for, they called me up to let me know what the overage was, and I paid for the overage over the phone and had a receipt emailed to me within a couple hours. It all went really smoothly and every last bit of junk is gone. I think they may have come a little bit after the time frame of the pickup window they had originally told me, but everything was piled in the driveway and I wasn’t home, so it made no difference to me, and they did call to let me know when they were on the way.

Great group of guys. Came right on time and were in and out! Even swept up after! Would definitely recommend their services.

I’d urge anyone to contact these guys over your typical con-​artists «1800gotjunk» and «college hunks». Unless of course lackluster service and outrageous prices appeal to you…

I used these guys through the amazon local voucher. They came on time, had to deal with a trampoline that was buried under snow and junk in the attic, cleared it all in minutes with no problems and no extra charge.
