Bucciarelli’s Butcher Shop and Deli

Bucciarelli’s is Amazing! After living in Italy for many years it is difficult to find a location here in the US similar to those in Italy. I finally found one!!! The family and their entire staff take so much pride in the work they do. They are also very friendly and make you feel like you are a part of their family when you arrive and you can be sure to leave with a smile in addition to some great choices of food.
The selection of food Meats, Soups, Salads, premade meals, desserts are wonderful. I would highly recommend this Butcher shop to everyone.

A stunning example of what an Italian Sandwich can be, order the Sicilian: Perfect, light, warm Ciabatta, with all the delicous heft you’d expect; Genoa Salami, Parma Prosciutto, Hot Capocollo, Sopressata, Pepperoni, Provolone, hots. Absolutely perfect.
Friendly, want to see everyone leave happy and with a smile. I could not have been more excited to chomp into this beauty. Exceptional. Bucciarelli’s is on the short list.

Best sirloin tips I’ve had. Consistently tender and flavorful

Not bad not great. Today checked out steak tip selection. There is beef blood or marinade spilled in the the front of the case on the inside and even on the light bulb. Looked dried and dark. Leading me to think it has bee there for a while. Really not the worst thing to see but not the most comforting. Makes me question other things that might be missed. For the higher price I would guess better over all usually. Bright spot staff was very helpful.

I’m disappointed. When you order a chicken cutlet with American cheese, you should get a chicken cutlet with cheese. But instead of that, I got chicken that was cooked early in the day and microwaved without cheese. This food was good, if you like to wake up in the middle of the night. The best part of my sub was bread. What a shame.

Love everything about this place. Real Italian sandwiches filled with the best ingredients. Fresh, high quality meats. You have to try their turkey tips on the grill! Friendly & knowledgeable staff too.

We live in the area and love visiting Buccarelli’s! Today we got sandwiches to take for a picnic in Newburyport. They are a butcher shop, so we get the marinated wings and steak tips for Sunday’s watching the Pats game. There is also a large selection of charcuterie, soups, salads and deserts. They offer a fairly wide selection of gluten free items too! Today we got the Buccarelli & the Chicken Parm… absolutely delicious! We were eyeing the aranchini, but our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. We want to keep going back to try everything else they have! They make and sell pasta, they have different types of pasta salads, lasagna and mac n cheese. Soooo good!

Used to go here all the time but the last year or so the quality has waned. The side dishes are laden with mayonnaise and over-​salted and they have a potato salad that should be called ‘mashed potato salad’. They are usually out of the healthier protein options like turkey. Sad.

I google searched «best italian subs on the North Shore» and Bucciarelli’s was on a few of the lists so i decided to try them out. Great service and friendly staff; even had one of the employees talk about the Newburyport based beer Company and even recommended places for us to go. It was also very clean and taken care of.
That being said, their Sicilian sandwich was pretty mediocre. First off it was the size of a small sub at any other pizza/​sub shop you would go to & for more money than what a large would be. The meat was quality meat but they did not put as much as i would have liked on, still good though. The toppings now is where i was extremely disappointed. I got 1 skinny romaine lettuce leaf, the pickles had little to no taste, very few onions, and I couldn’t even tell you the rest of the toppings they put on because I couldn’t taste/​see them. The hots weren’t spicy hot and they didn’t have the ciabatta bread that the sandwich is supposed to come one but the alternative was still really good. Maybe if they had the ciabatta the sandwich would have been bulkier. I was still full after this meal.
I would go back for the pre-​made meals, meats etc because those all seemed good but I will not go back for a sandwich.
Overall I give «The Sicilian» a 6.1.

I work in Newburyport and reccomend this place! Service is fast, staff are awesome, and the meat is the best in the area. Sandwiches are also top notch. A little on the pricey side but they have the best stuff around!

This is simply fabulous and a high quality butcher shop that also has sandwiches and sundries. You can make a complete dinner easily, including a nice bottle of wine. Family run. Fantastic!

Best butchery… ever. And not just a butcher as the deli is great too. Friendliest, most helpful and knowledgable staff even when you show up 5 minutes after they close (Thanks again Joe; sorry and it won’t happen again!).
Don’t waste your money at the supermarket meat section — spend a little more (and it really is just a little) but get much better quality and freshness from the Bucciarelli family. And don’t forget to check out the special board and the frozen meat section.

It seems I visit Bucciarelli’s Butcher Shop and Deli nearly every week for a roast beef sandwich, which is very delicious. I prefer my sandwiches plain so I can enjoy the meat. The roast beef is very delicious, but I have also tried the chicken, steak, ham, and other meats and have had no complaints. The nearly weekly visits is an addiction to good quality meats and bread. The cost is reasonable and location is conveniently on Route 1 Northbound side. Quality of food is incredible. Don’t go to the supermarket for your meats but instead stop into Bucciarelli’s. You won’t be disappointed.

Unilocal to the rescue in an emergency turkey tips situation… this place is ten minutes from I-​95 and lives up to the reviews. Great meat selection, friendly staff, good cookies, and a whole pickle section. This is our new go-​to butcher when heading up to NH.

This is a strong option if you’re hankering for something straight from a butcher shop the day of. The service is good and they change specials up for new choices. The side dishes are delicious, I love the sweet potatoes and cranberry. As far as butcher shops go, you can’t ask for much more.
The one draw back I’ve found is getting food to eat maybe one or two days later — it simply goes bad. Three separate occasions I’ve gone to make myself a sandwich with some lunch meat within two days of purchase and it’s turned.
If you want a deli sandwich right away, definitely check it out, but if you’re looking to make one yourself later, I’d try elsewhere.

Unfortunately, we don’t get here often enough but when we do, it’s an absolute treat.
We had been running an errand not far from there and were literally driving by, heading to our «real» destination which was a pricy restaurant where we planned to have a romantic dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary. My husband mentioned that someone he worked with had told him they had an outstanding butcher shop. We almost didn’t stop — we didn’t want to buy meat and leave it in the car in the heat — but decided it wouldn’t hurt to just pop in really quickly to see what they had.
We ended up purchasing the most amazing filet mignon plus an assortment of fully cooked sides and some fancy desserts, going home, and yup… BBQing the filets and eating in. It was beyond fabulous.
The soups and cooked foods are delicious and every cut of meat we’ve ever gotten has been fabulous. They have so much to offer, it’s easy to get carried away and to blow the entire grocery budget on their meat. When we are having a hectic time, we will go over and buy 2 – 3 nights worth of meat and sides and feel totally spoiled. MUCH better than fast food when you are pressed for time.

Excellent butcher shop. The sandwiches are incredible, and the selection is awesome. The bread is always fresh, and the prepared foods are even better. The macaroni salad is some of the best I have ever tasted too.

Great steaks, chicken, and deli selections. Very large selection. They also make subs to order for quick lunches or dinners.
I ordered a steak tip sub and was pleasantly surprised when the employee walked over to the fresh tips in the display and walked out back to cook them up right there.
