These guys are good with mechanics but really bad with customer service-​communication. I took my Honda Accord there back in April to fix the tires. And you’d think that they would work with you to take care of the bill right there then. But 8 months later they say that they can’t fix your other cars fuel pump, until you pay for the old bill that you thought you paid back in April.

Jakes the guy to talk to. He knows a lot and will make sure your taken care of. I’ve always brought my car in for repairs and if anything goes wrong the employees stick through till the end to make sure it’s taken care of.

Technically, this is Jake’s Quick Lube & Service, as indicated by the small sticker on the door. But really, it’s more easily recognized as the Sinclair gas station on the northeast corner of 4800 South and State.
I don’t want to discount the lube and service portion of the place – they’ve got all kinds of specials plastered all over the windows and it looks like a place that’s hanging on to car service + gas station in a world where massive convenience stores are the norm. So I give them that.
Having only fueled up here, though, I can only comment on the gas situation. It’s Sinclair. There are just a few pumps. And they worked just fine. If you’re cruising along State Street and need to fuel up, this is a convenient Murray spot to do it.
