I had always gone online to check out some items, like bodysuits and basics, which are versatile but they are overpriced which always was discourages me. When i came in here while shopping with my sister, i ran into the Ponte Sleeveless skater dress i had been eyeing for a while and a halter bodysuit. I left the halter bodysuit because i knew i could get it elsewhere cheaper (which i did!) but i couldn’t bring myself to leave the dress. I still can’t believe i paid $ 68 for that dress ! What was i thinking? Probably that i still lived in Puerto rico during that time and i couldn’t find this dress anywhere for a whole year. Well, The search was over. Now that its done, there isn’t really any other item from this store that i ‘Simply must have’. I guess i will just wait if they ever have a sale because other than that, i don’t plan on purchasing any more overpriced items from this store.

Although the store is pretty small and the interior is plain, at least it was clean and the staff was friendly. The store was also very organized and clean.

American Apparel is what it is, and if you don’t like the store front, then it seems silly to go in. But to each his own. I usually don’t find anything here because it is either too casual (bordering on indecent sometimes) or not just not what I am looking for. I do like the t-​shirts though, and that’s what I most often buy. Although the clothes are higher priced (and there are coupons out there people!), I find that I like quality products. The set up of the store and customer service (who must eat very sparingly) can be whelming (not overly so), but they are not in my way, so we get along.

I HATE, HATE, HATE this store! Not only for the concept but for the strangeness of it all. No, I do not want an overpriced unitard made out of lace. No, I do not want a $ 40 white t-​shirt that I could buy for $ 3 at Target.
I ONLY give the store two stores because my fiancé and I were able to find some great items for Halloween costumes this year.

The customer service here was awful! I went here in July 2010 on a weekend and there was not anyone in the store, yet I still still received NO service. How many times do I have to refrain myself from saying, «look, you work here. stop being a snob & do your job!» cute stuff at the store though.
