This place is a cute convenient market located behind the bar inside hotel emma. It’s good to grab a snack or something lite to eat. I was impressed with the quality of their sandwiches. I had a smoked salmon bagel and a lamb sandwich. They were both delicious just kinda over priced. I also ordered their hibiscus lemonade. My previous visit, I tried the chicken and Gouda sandwich with a latte. I would recommend the smoked salmon bagel. Their market had an interesting selection of unique beverages and snacks. They also have a few pastries of the day at the counter.

I was told Hotel Emma is the first hotel in Texas to have a grocery market in it. It’s located behind the hotel, you can get to it from either the front, or back of Emma. The place is beautiful, cool & staff is always friendly & helpful. You can get chef prepared sandwiches, salads & soups. Being that I’m mainly veggie, it’s nice to know they have good fresh daily veg options. Plus if your in the mood for a latte, or hot chocolate they have a coffee bar as well. Plus fresh tea & homemade lemonade. This place seems to be pretty convenient when your looking for some everyday necessities. If you don’t see something you want, just ask. The Larder team is always happy to go looking for it, or add it to their suggestion list. The seating inside is a little limited, but it’s meant to be a grab & go spot. However there’s also seating outdoors. Dog friendly place & bike friendly too. I definitely suggest visiting this place. It’s open to the public, not just hotel guest.

We dropped by here on a recent outing to Pearl Farmers Market and really love this place. It’s like a little gourmet grocery store. Fits with the upscale vibe of the Pearl and Hotel Emma. Unlike most stores attached to a hotel which tend to sell bottle Starbucks drinks, Granola Bars and mini toothpaste; this store has many items from the vendors of the farmers market: locally made yogurt, ice cream, and cheeses. Nice wine selection, the always amazing Element Kombucha, dips, teas, coffees, mustards. Hand made beauty items. Even cookbooks. They make salads which are delicious and very reasonably priced. We tried a curried cauliflower and an Israeli Cous Cous which were a mere $ 5 a pot and enough as a side for 4 people. I plan on going ther often on a weekend to pick up easy eats that are healthy, different and fresh saving me prep time, with insanely great prices. They also serve coffee alongside homemade desserts and treats such as brown butter marshmallow treats. There is a little seating area if you prefer to enjoy your buys on the spot and the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and happy to make a recommendation. Love this place and wish the City had more spots like this, particularly on the North side!

The team at Larder has done a fantastic job setting up a beautiful store. This is the market to get stuff for your trip while staying at Hotel Emma. They offer a bunch of foodie items for sides and snacks. This isn’t your typical hotel general store, but more of a high end boutique. They’ve got imported salami, jams and preserves from far off places, and fresh made sandwiches to take along with you on your journey. If you’re staying down at the Emma, you can get some of the iconic Pearl Beer in a can to take along with you. They also offer craft sodas, and bottled juices. The store offers samples of their fresh-made items, which are beyond delicious. The Pearl has some amazing food, and the bar is set pretty high for this place, but they surpass any expectations of what a small foodie provisions shop is supposed to be!

Surprisingly limited supply of food, mostly knick knacky food items. I was expecting more of an expanded food selection. It also doesn’t make sense to me that they feature a lot of the same things that are already available at the pearl like coffee from local and ice cream from lick. Also, no produce. Plus the sandwiches are sort of not that enticing. Hopefully they continue to expand, awesome place to check out.
