Dart Ops

This place was dirty and run by a few uninterested teenagers. The guns were all pistols and not the large rifles and exciting nerf guns shown on the site. The entire experience was chaotic, unorganized and done as cheaply as possible. Don’t bother bringing your kids here.

Last night I had my son’s 7^th birthday party and I was so disappointed in the staff!!! This place it’s a really cool place for kids like my son’s age but the employees are THE WORST!!! These employees are little kids just out or still in High school. I kept asking them to please organize the games like they suppose to do! I saw how nice the games are there before at a friend’s party but this time for my son’s party they just did nothing and some were on their cell phones and other just Ignore me and didn’t do anything! Sadly for my son I will never have another party there again unless the owner can have responsible adults as employees that can do their job right. So disappointed after spending $ 400

My son turned 11 yesterday and as his request we did the dart opps with a total of 7 kids… I had a terrible migraine that wasn’t by any means going away so my day wasn’t very pleasant. I don’t really remember what the guy’s name was that helped me our but he was very friendly and took really good care of us. thanks! !

And all in all scream at each other about it. They had a blast, we did pizza, cake, and presents and I’m pretty glad I brought them there. Was inexpensive and more importantly the guy working there totally took care of the kids whilst I stayed in agony. Was a fun filled day, at least for the kids and my birthday boy!

We just finished a birthday party for our two boys here. We had a GREAT time!!! When I began to book, I set up the time and date… and chose a 1 hour party, In the process I found out that a 2 hour party is required. I contacted the owner to discuss the possibility of a 1 hour party and he was wonderful. In the future I recommend that booking for the parties goes directly through the owner because he was really professional, polite and accommodating. In the end, we ended up keeping our 2 hour time slot because they were so great in dealing with us. When we got there, Table cloths were all set up, staff was friendly, our kids had a blast, the team cleaned up all of our mess for us. Be aware that the staff is young… they are fun. We work with youth and so it felt just like a normal youth led event. There was one guy who was running the «free play» for the mall kids who were playing. He was super energetic and the mic was a little loud… however, we were super excited when he took over our party because He was fun. As a family sitting watching our kids, the environment is loud yet fun for the kids. Wishing they had free wifi, a TV and a «quiet room» for the (birthday party) parents… lol. Maybe if they glassed in the play rooms? (Like a Super Franks enviroment) but I would completely recommend this place for parties. We had a few families who said they would book parties for sure and so I am sure we will be back soon. They do require a 2 hour minimum which I hope is stated clearly in the future… but the 2 hour party is worth it. Thanks Dart Ops for a great party.

Had a birthday party here and it was pretty boring. The guy announcing the games was using a super monotone voice as if he hated his existence. The guy at the desk who was giving us waivers was super rude and was making fun of me while greeting my friends and thanking them for coming. We had an all day pass but ended up staying for a couple hours thanks to the other kids who crashed my party and kept trash talking me and my friends. Definitely not coming back.

I have been to Dart Ops at least 6 maybe 7 times! Bringing different kids during the week and on weekends!!! I’m so tired of the referee talking about his life and his personal history!!! I’m so tired of the two guys there working being so unprofessional!!! Barely any guns work, barely any bullets are not broken… The place is a mess and the two guys always there are so unprofessional and lacking in social skills! Last time I went the four of us requested a refund… We didn’t get it so we walked out! A birthday party came in and they were yelling at the customers and yelling at each other to split up duties and manage the small party and the few kids and adults in the play area! I wouldn’t trust these men to handle any medical or emergency situation if you ever plan to leave your kids alone!!! I tried and I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt that they are capable… I won’t believe it!!! I’m still angry that they guys fought so much during our time that several of us just left because they were unreasonable! WHEN MY WIFE WALKED OVER TO CALMLY TELL THEM TO STOP SHOUTING AND BE PROFESSIONAL ONE OF THD GUYS GOT IN MY WIFE’s FACE!!! That’s when I was done and would not fight in front of the kids!!! RIDICULOUS IMMATURE BOYS OPERATING THE FACILITY!!!

Had a 10-​year old birthday party here. When we visited to make the reservation on a weekday, it was a little sketchy. In the end, the party worked out really well. Everyone had a great time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We ordered pizza and drinks from a place near the mall. There was a great space for kids to eat and make a mess.

I’m not going to discredit anyone’s bad review or bolster anyone’s good review, I can just give you MY review. My husband and I and our 11-​year-​old son came to Dart Ops one empty night before closing with a Groupon. My son hadn’t been in for more than five minutes when he threw up, apparently he was sick from something he ate earlier. The gentlemen running the place felt bad and gave us a return pass.
We came back on Saturday, April 11 and it was full of kids and my son had blast! They played on teams, they played capture the flag (my son’s team won multiple times) and the general consensus I got from my son and all the kids involved was that it was fun. He ran, he jumped, he shot Nerf guns and he made some new friends. I could not of asked for a better experience.
It’s a lot safer and neater than paintball and a lot less annoying than laser tag and for the price… I had no complaints. I found the two men that «refereed» (I don’t remember their names, sorry) very engaging and making sure that there was engaging in FairPlay and that cheaters didn’t prosper. We will be back again.

I bought my sons a Groupon for Dart Ops. When I saw their website it showed tables full of a variety of Nerf guns and a child holding a rapid fire Nerf gun. When I redeemed the Groupon, they had only small guns that held one shot! My sons had better at home! We drove 35 – 40 miles (one way) for nothing. They have 2 rooms… one for kids 6 – 7 years old and the other for 8 – 88 years old. The rooms were small and the area only had simple and small barricades to duck behind (that’s all). Each room could easily fit in my garage and the one my kids played in had 15+ kids in it. Not only was it totally boring for my boys, as they wanted to leave in less than 5 minutes, it was a waste of money and gas! I wouldn’t even give them one star… but had to to post this.

It’s a great idea in theory: go in, arm yourself with your favorite Nerf gun, shoot some folks without mercy.
Here’s the reality: go in, arm yourself with the ONE type of single shot pullback Nerf gun that’s probably broken, fire the MAYBE 100 total darts available that are mostly broken, listen to the annoying «ref» announce over the loudspeaker how they are out of darts so the broken scraps are all you get, still get to shoot folks.
The execution here is clearly lacking, with some «rules» being horrendous. You can’t wield two guns even during free play? WTF? I’m pretty sure you can get 100 darts for around 30 bucks.
It’s dirt cheap so I guess you get what you pay for, and anything can be fun if you try. Probably won’t go again though.

Came here because my son deserved some play time, but the guy at the front desk was out of control. It takes a certain kind of person to be in customer service and deal with kids but this guy wasn’t it. The course was great for kids but when you have someone who can’t control their temper around kids… Not great.

Cool for kids who are into this kind of thing, usually great service but everyone has off days. Prices aren’t bad either. 10 bucks per kid so I can shop for two hours. Nice. And after the kids are worn out, you can walk them down to Cinnabon/​Roxies for a quick bite.

Horrible experience. Kids not wearing safety glasses. Kids shooting point blank to little kids head. Kids taking darts straight from other kids loaded guns. Unless place is empty with your kids only, don’t do it.

Grossly understaffed and the staff they do have yells at the kids because they get so stressed. I never felt comfortable enough to leave my 10 year old for more than the 5 minutes it takes to go to the bathroom and the waiting are is terribly uncomfortable for us parents.
My sister recently bought a groupon and I succumbed to peer pressure and went with her against my better judgment. We arrived at 5:45 and were told to come back at 8:00! That’s bedtime for most kids! The only staff member I saw seemed flustered and overwhelmed.
If I could give it 0 stars, I would.

Make sure you call ahead to see if they are accepting walk-​ins before you plan you day! Apparently Dean (very rude) has the discretion to turn people away whenever he feels like it! Trying again later– will review again– hopefully better!

umm… what can i say about this place…
Cons:
Everything in here besides the Nerf guns look HOME MADE! From the felt vest, pvc piping forts, spray can tires, and the .99 cents decorations, someone went hella cheap!!! (Not even joking)
Staff: What staff??? The staff looks almost the same age as the 10−13yr old players and they ALL act like this was their first job (CLUELESS)
Pros: My kids had the time of their lives here! They had so much fun despite of all the cheap decorations and clueless staff.
Would I go again: YES! At least my kids are not playing video games.

So I’m in tanforan mall with my son, and we just ate lunch and are pretty much killing time. We walked by the dart ops place and he wanted to go in a try it. Looks fun so we went.
$ 5 for 30 min of play plus 15 extra min for check-​in with Unilocal!Great deal! 2 opposing teams, one red, one blue shoot it out in an obstacle arena. Nerf guns of course! Just the overall activity is great! Running around shooting each other with nerf dart guns, what’s not to like?
We stayed closer to an hour and my son was just dripping in sweat! A good workout! I’d much rather he do this than sit in front of a tv and just play video games.

Came here with a group of kids earlier this summer with a Groupon coupon and was initially apprehensive. .guns and violence and all … but GOD THE KIDS LOVE IT!!! Yeah it’s violence with guns but it’s Nerf equipment and the kids are actually respectful of each other and don’t go all out nutty to shoot each other.
It’s a simple, clean space near the Target, with colorful obstacles and blinds so that teams armed with Nerf guns and ammo can shoot it out. It’s busy but not so over — crowded that you want to turn around and head home. There’s also an area for the adults to rest and observe just how crazy your child can become. Prices are reasonable — $ 10 per player for 2 hrs (cheaper if you have a coupon) of fun which is more than enough to run an energetic child’s battery down. And adults can join in too.
I’m here with 5 kids today and if it wears them out then this place has done it’s job.

I came as a guest for one of my godson’s birthday. The place is a good idea in theory… older kids who can shoot guns and make war with Nerf guns and bullets. It’s active and better than them playing video games and surfing the web/​staring at the TV. And who knows whether this may one day help shape their career in the military or laser tag.
There’s two fields where two teams compete against each other to have a Nerf bullet stick on their velcro vest to signal that they are out. There’s a marshal/​judge person who usually points out which kids need to leave the battlefield during each battle phase. Good Lord… it must suck to be one of those judge people as you are telling kids to leave the game. I came up with an idea, I’d just make the shot kids go to a penalty box like hockey and just have them come out after two minutes in there… the kids who got shot can come back and still play and not be bummed to wait until a new game starts.
The acoustics of this game can be gruesome on a spectator. Usually the kids like to scream and shout when they are waging their mock war so I did take the opportunity to escape from there to clear my head. I also found out that this place didn’t have a public restroom for any of the kids or parents to use while having an event there. Ummm… how is that possible? If you pay for your kid to play here, then shouldn’t they have the convenience of using a nearby bathroom? The music also can get really loud here which makes it hard to talk for those who aren’t participating.
Lastly, some advice for any parents who do bring your kids here… make sure they wear LONG pants… shorts no good because their knees will get scratched up!

Let me first point out that we’re not kids and we purchased a Living Social deal for Dart Ops without knowing the demographics of the area.

We decided to head over to Dart Ops post Black Friday to do some shopping and also redeem the passes. It was a super good deal $ 5/​two hours of play. When we walked in, we noticed that the place was much smaller than we imagined and it was full of little kids! We were a little embarrassed to go inside because we’re 7 grown adults and we mean business when it comes to darts! So we decided to man up and redeem our passes. We asked if we could use one of the fields just for ourselves and they were able to accomodate. That was pretty cool of them.
Did we have fun? Yes! The area is a little small and the NERF guns were kinda weak. The darts needed to be replaced though. Some of them were duds and don’t stick to the target.
