I have been going to Margaret since 2000 I believe. She has helped me with knee and wrist issues and I always leave her office feeling better than when I went in. Aside from treating the issues themselves, her treatment always leaves me full of energy and overall vitality. I have spent many years living in China on and off since I first met Margaret and have been to many traditional doctors here. I can tell you if you want top quality care whether it is acupuncture or Chinese therapeutic massage, you don’t have to go to China, you can find the real thing in San Carlos. Margaret is a master healer and I recommend all my friends seek her treatment and abilities.

I have been going to Margaret for the last 8 years. She is very professional, cares and clearly knows what she’s doing. I had struggled with trying to get pregnant with my 3^rd child for 2 years. I had just about given up when someone I trusted recommended Margaret.
Right away, Margaret put myself and my husband on a treatment and within a 2 months I was pregnant. It was the most zenniest’ pregnancy I ever had. I felt calm and energetic.

Margaret is very honest, caring, friendly and listens to clients problems carefully. I was very nervous for my fist ever acupuncture session but i did not feel needles at all.
After second session i felt unexpected positive changes in my body that i was not even focused on fixing. I am very optimistic about future sessions!

Margaret has been treating me for years for various ailments and conditions and frankly, she has been my life savior on many occasions.
When I was pregnant with extra 45 pounds on my body, I felt so heavy that could barely walk. The weight put so much pressure on my back and legs that I started having legs and feet convulsions and sever back pain. I had tried multiple treatments and supplement but what really worked is Margaret’s acupuncture and acupuncture sessions. I would feel like I was reborn after the sessions.
Once I came to Margaret and asked her to check my pulse for any conditions. I have been experiencing acidity in my throat and belly and discomfort to the point that I could not eat. I was suspecting some kind of gastric disorder but did not tell her about it. After a minute, she said I had fire in my stomach. After I week I discovered I had a sever acid reflux. I went on pills, changed my diet but none of that helped. Only after doing several sessions with Margaret, I felt a real relief. Combined with sight changes to my diet, no pills and treatments by Margaret, my acid reflux has been gone for years.
Margaret and her husband, William, who is also a very skilled chines medicine doctor, are very personable and are willing to work with you. It is very easy to schedule even last minute appointments. Once you step in the clinic, you are greeted by a great energy and very friendly and extremely knowledgeable team.

Margaret is very experienced with acupuncture and acupressure. She is from China and utilizes many different methods, some that are not taught in the United States. I have a severe dust mite allergy, which she has helped alleviate. She takes advantage of every minute during the visit and there is no sitting around/​waiting.

I have been coming here for several years, and am amazed at the personal care, concern and excellence that I continue to receive.
Margaret and William are highly skilled and are so good at the variety of therapies that I always leave each session measureably relieved of discomfort and pain.
Please understand, I have been to other acupuncturists who were highly recommended, but unfortunately, often finished up a session of treatment with less than satisfying results. In a few cases, I went home with no appreciable difference in my pain level, and actually began to lose hope in any kind of specialist that said that they might succeed. Some doctors just prescribed strong medication, but it numbed my whole body and also kept me from even getting out of bed. Others had a mixture of therapies, but none came close to what relief I have received at Family Acupuncture Center.
Finally, I got authorization to be seen at the Family Acupuncture Center in San Carlos. Margaret’s literal ‘hands-​on’ approach, along with the acupuncture resulted in very successful outcomes. She will NOT just schedule you to come in twice a week or whatever; just whatever your body NEEDS.
She displays not only expert treatment skills (I don’t even have to tell her what hurts as she zeros in on that part right away), but also has genuine concern for any other issues, such as my budget and other items of concern.

Last minute appointments are usually accepted, and there is no charge for cancelled appointments. Another kind of relief, knowing that they know how much added stress this can produce.
