Dr. Barnes is no longer servicing her clients in San Clemente but I wanted to express that I was very disappointed in how she stepped out of the community. I did NOT receive a notification of any sort. Instead I was forward to a doctors practice that told me she had retired when I called to schedule a follow up appointment. I eventually went to see that doctor who bought her practice and was told she is now at Kaiser Permanente.
I also received a collections notification for a bill from 2011 that I never received by mail AND when I called to address it with the new doctor they never called me back. It’s like I’m paying a ghost for an office visit that Dr. Barnes never even followed up with me on the results.
I’m pretty disappointed from my original experience and I would not recommend her moving forward because of her lack of professionalism.

I didn’t even get to become a patient of this woman. I’m new in town, looking for a physician for my teen-​age son. They scheduled him for 3:30 pm, he doesn’t even get out of school until 3:00. When I scheduled the appointment, someone there told me to come by the day before and pick up the new-​patient paperwork. I got there the day before at 3:25, because someone gave me terrible directions to the location, and they were closed. That would have been fine, except their hours only showed the time they opened, not when they closed. I tried to call the number and there was no voicemail saying their hours or anything. They sat there (I could see them sitting behind the counter through the closed curtains) and either let the phone ring, or they would pick the phone up and slam it back down! I wrote a note canceling my son’s appointment and put it through the mail slot in the door. I will NEVER go back to that place. Besides, it looked like a marginally clean office anyway, from the outside, at least.

this place is a joke!!! snake oil and meditation but no REAL medical attention given!!! the offoce staff was rude and I got no personal attention.

The only positive thing I can say about my experience is how friendly and assertive the nurse Carol was, as well as the gentleman who checked me in. As for the Dr., sub-​par at best. I went to Dr. Barnes-​Blanks as a new patient, and she met with me for just shy of 10 minutes. I went in for a physical, and left still thinking I needed a physical. As a new patient a Dr. should ask about your family history, etc., but she didn’t so much as ask me one single question about me or my health. Dr. Barnes looked at the chart I filled out and said, «so you’re healthy, nothing is wrong with you, that’s good.» After she checked my reflexes, looked in my ears, listened to my lungs and my heart she said, «ok I’m going to send the nurse in to get your blood work,» and that was it. She didn’t give me any time to ask any questions, or discuss anything, it was so unfulfilling. The nurse came in to do the blood work and I asked her if I could ask the Dr. a few more questions. Dr. Barnes came back in the room as if I asked way too much of her. I asked a few questions but was so disappointed at that point that I just stopped after the first 3 questions. It was clear she didn’t want to take the time with me. I never take the time to write reviews, but when it comes to health, I’m always up for informing the public. If you’re looking for a good holistic Dr. with decent bed-​side manner I would steer you away from Dr. Barnes, she is a complete disappointment. If anyone has any recommendations for holistic Dr.‘s or even east meets west please let me know. I’m looking for someone in south county, but willing to travel for a great Dr.
