Outlets at San Clemente

A bit disappointed that there were few shops. I hope more shops will be in the outlet soon. The restrooms were clean and very pretty. The parking was easy and the atmosphere was pleasant. Some shops were a bit pricey like going to the regular mall, however others offered a wonderful discounts. I spent quite a bit at Oshkosh for my grandson because the sales were remarkable!

So sad you had to take away the nature and beauty of the area to put a mall that has the worst stores. No wonder it took years to get this mall built, but so sad that it’s bad.
I’ll just to stick to Carlsbad to get high end and better stores. Event listings are not to be trusted as they are not accurate. Last months food truck and todays food truck that was listed did not show up.
I don’t blame them, because the mall does not have enough foot traffic to warrant them to come that far. I was told that they would change the website, but highly doubtful and it would be to late for others who have already driven here from afar. Still looking for quality restaurants to be put in, but I may be waiting in vain.

San Clemente outlets
While some of the store fronts are not yet occupied, I give it four stars for location location location, right off the freeway and right by the beach.
I liked the San Diego Surf Company and the Levi’s stores.
I’ll be back!

I am very disappointed with the outlet center. We were originally told that every store and restaurants would have a ocean view. Where are the white table restaurants? The Citizens of San Clemente were expecting fine dining. If Panera Bread is the best you could do than the outlet mall is in trouble.
Suggestion:
Put a Major 5 star hotel with profession 9 hole golf course.
Something must change to make this successful.

Closer than Carlsbad outlets for OC residents, not as big or developed yet. Not all the stores are open yet, so far it looks a little empty and only a couple restaurants, Plenty of parking, close to other attractions in San Clemente. Prices for new products are the same as stores, only older ones are discounted, but this goes for pretty much all the outlet stores.

We shop here often at several stores. Can’t wait until the restaurants and movie theater are done and open.

What an great spot. Ocean breezes, shopping, and new stores opening soon. There’s a courtyard with yard games. Connect Four, cornhole, chess and checkers and Jenga!
There’s still adding new stores, and I can’t wait until the Le Crueset outlet opens.
There’s lots of parking, but not a ton of dining options just yet. I remember when this place was under construction, and I think there’s still a lot of potential. There’s already a lot of great stores here to shop from and more to come.
As usual with Outlets, you definitely have to be buyer beware. Not all the stores are actual outlet stores. Not the fault of the center, because you should be blaming the retailer.
The crowds are great on the weekdays. Or should I say, the lack of crowds is great on the weekdays. This place was pretty deserted, which meant plenty of parking, and lots of great customer service from sales associates.

We enjoyed our time at the shopping center. We grabbed a starbucks and wandered a few stores before coming across the game zone. What a cool gathering place with it chess and checker boards painted on the ground and large size game pieces!
There were some large size dominoes and some other table games too. A great place to take, a break, hang out, eat lunch, etc…

This is a really nice, obviously new shopping center with a lot of space. I know they are still building, and have a lot more stores coming… but so far the place is clean and seems like it has ample parking. I arrived early yesterday around 11am, and the center opened at 10am. There was plenty of parking and the shopping area was not very crowded. Around noon or so, not the same — it was very crowded.
I have to say, I would not describe this shopping center as Outlets. The pricing in the stores I went in, were nothing near outlet pricing. The prices were high, just as high as normal retail stores — so that was a big disappointment. It also seemed like most of the stores were athletic stores.
I walked around and spent maybe 45 minutes here total, and did not purchase anything. Daisy Shoppe had some really cute items, but the prices were so high. If you are looking to knock out a bunch of stores at once, this is nice, but its definitely not sale /​bargain shopping in my opinion.

The outlets have so much potential and I can’t wait until it’s completed. I’ve been twice on the way back from OC/​LA county. Heading south is so much easier to get off the freeway to access the outlets. Parking is easier from the north side of the outlets even though there are not many stores in that side of the mall. There aren’t many stores up just yet, but it’s worth a good walk around to see what stores are currently in place.
The stores I frequent here so far are H&M, Nike, Cole Haan, Calvin Klein, Under Armor and The Loft. If you come during a holiday weekend, it’s not too crowded, but then again there aren’t many staple store fronts like Gap, Banana Republic, Coach, Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Burberry, and then some.
The outlets have a really nice oceanview and I swear have the nicest restrooms ever! They remind me of Las Vegas bathrooms — holy cow!

Gorgeous new shopping center located just off the freeway in San Clemente. The shopping center has great stores like Nike, H&M, Sun Diego, Colombia, LOFT Outlet, Daisy Shoppe & even more stores to come! Prices are great and there are always amazing sales going on. In addition to the great shops there are also great oversized games in their Center Court, abundant parking, live entertainment on the weekends and the most beautiful bathrooms I have ever seen at any shopping center.
Outlets at San Clemente is a great addition to the already vibrant downtown shopping and dining scene of SC. Aesthetically, the builders could not have done a better job, as the entire center is completely gorgeous. I’m excited to see this center continue to grow and add more shops and restaurants (especially the ocean view dining options).

I like that you can see out into the Pacific Ocean from the front of the mall and that parking is plentiful. It will be nice when they build more restaurants with rooftop views to take advantage of this location. I can also tell they spent a lot of money on their bathrooms too.
For now, the selection of stores is very limited and the deals are not too good for an outlet. Stores like Nike (which is two-​story), Van Heusen, and Guess have a wide selection to choose from, but deals that pale in comparison to similar stores in other outlets such as the Carlsbad Outlet further south. The only place that seemed to have stellar deals when I went was the Levi’s store where I scored a $ 20 pair of Original 501 jeans. They had a good amount of other jeans going on sale for under $ 30 too. Definitely the best value Levi’s store I’ve been too so go if you need denim.
This mall was pretty desolate when I went and I highly doubt it will get too crowded even when it’s completely finished since it isn’t in a high density populated area. Also, bring a jacket when you go. You will definitely feel a gush of wind from the ocean breeze. The Outlets at San Clemente is nothing more than standard for now but they’ve got potential.

As of right now I give it two stars! If they put in a movie theater and actually build all the restaurants, hotel, and more stores they claim will be coming I will upgrade my rating.
Someone needs to rent some of these empty units and put in a kids jumpy house and possibly an upscale country bar/​night club.
Think about how much traffic this place would get if during the day you could catch a matinée, and or take your kids to a play house then get lunch. Then at night you have the option to get dinner then an upscale club or dinner and a movie.

This newly opened outlet mall is still a work in process! There are still a few open spaces that are awaiting tenets or are still in the process of opening.
Parking is all around, open and spacious, we didn’t run into any trouble with parking.

One thing to note, the restrooms are very clean and nicely designed! Women’s room includes a waiting area with couches and floor length mirror! My hope is that this restroom can stay with clean with more and more foot traffic to come!

For a Saturday afternoon, this place was eerily empty… and I loved it! The rows of tour buses haven’t descended upon this beach town most likely due to the lack of luxury brand outlets. I wonder if that is going to be Phase 2? If so… sadness.
Bathrooms were super clean. Toilet stalls were long with doors that went from the ceiling to almost the floor. No worries about your next door neighbor pissing on your feet.
Underground parking structure next to Nike was AWESOME… Awesome…awesome…awe…kids enjoyed screaming and hearing their echo down there. I think there was a total of 10 cars. Elevator and escalators lead up to the shopping area.
Near the bathrooms was a kids area with oversized chess board, checkers and «cornhole» games.
Mall definitely needs more eating options but I’ll give them time.

Gorgeous new mall in San Clemente. They just opened so it’s only half full. Lots of nice shops but no place to eat lunch or dinner. They are offering several discounts on top of the outlet specials during their grand opening. Stop by the customer service desk to get a map and list of discounts. If you are staying at a nearby hotel pick up a mall pamphlet and it will have a free Tommy duffle bag coupon in it. Great to carry your purchases in. A $ 39.50 value :)

If you’re familiar with The Citadel, the layout is similar. Why I came here? For the Van Heusen and White House Black Market outlets. I was also happy to find an Anne Taylor Loft Outlet here as well.
Parking is plentiful. The downside is that the center is not filled with stores yet, so in places it’s like walking through a desert.

The Outlets is only partially built, with a 40 – 50 stores in operation; more «high end» retails are still in the works and to be built in the next phase later 2016. This outlet belongs to the same chain as Citadel with typical outlet retail shops, so you can use the same VIP card for additional savings. Stop by Customer Service/​Information to pick up a VIP pass. Although not as big as Cabazon/​Citadel, it’s a closer drive with slightly lower sales tax, and you save on gas in OC.

Hey our company has the opportunity to build an extravagant outlet mall in one of the most historic surfing communities in the entire world what should we do?
1: Ignore the local culture and build the shops we believe will capture those who are heading up or down the interstate 5.
2: Put in a bunch of shops that aren’t even supporting the concept OUTLET which to me and everyone else means discount which I found none of here as everything was full price!
3: For how many years it took just to get this place built I expected a lot more I mean a lot more from it as pretty much it’s just a gigantic white eye sore as the structure is a very pale white and just not very welcoming what so ever!
4: The majority of the stores here do not reflect any part of the San Clemente culture as I feel this place was built to attract the tourists and take away from the local businesses Downtown which is a huge mistake as the majority of them are already struggling to keep the doors open.
5: Christmas just passed and what happened this place opened up in a hurry to try to make a few bucks off holiday shoppers big mistake because it feels like it was rushed and poorly built I mean come on this space was in development for I want to say at least 10 years and they still opened up with a ton of vacant spaces.
6: San Clemente is in need of some type of place for the community to gather and enjoy the night a place for the youth to hangout some type of entertainment which I didn’t see here only a lying form of a discount mall that was full of disappoint beyond belief.
Overall I really feel this whole concept will fail as nothing here is really needed in the community and this whole overpriced outlet mall was just another big mistake made by big development in an effort to commercialize what once was a small town.

It has a great location. Easy on/​off the freeway and expansive view of the ocean. They have a pleasing mission-​style architecture with lots of parking!
There are still a lot of construction. Not all the stores are occupied so I would say it’s still in a «soft open» stage. There seems to be a lot of sports stores — Nike, Puma, Asics, Under Armour, Adidas, to name a few. You get the normal Calvin Klein, Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren too. I would say they have roughly 60−70% occupancy. If you want more choices, there is Carlsbad down south.
There are plans to have restaurants occupy the westernmost part of the complex with a 180 degree view of the ocean. That would be something to check out when it is completed.
Food choices are still, Panera Bread, Auntie Ann’s and Starbucks. The Ruby’s Diner is still under construction. Instead of settling for these, We went to Phở Thanh Binh on Avenida Pico for some AWESOME food! Go there!
Will have to check them out once filled with all the stores.
