I’ve been here twice now and they are definitely deserving of all the five star reviews! Love this place… it’s clean, friendly, nice polish selection and exceptional pedicures! I will be back!

I got my nails done here a couple weeks ago and I can honestly say that after not having my nails done for 2 years that I love my nails! I was a bit skeptical since its been so long but the staff were nice, welcoming and even offered me a drink while I was getting my nails done. I definitely enjoyed my experience and I will definitely be back.

142 Beauty Spot was so professional and excellent work. I love the fresh fruit and mimosa.

Hands down, without a doubt the best manicure pedicure in San Diego! I promise you won’t be disappointed coming here! The salon itself is very clean, but also they have the best massaging chairs ever! The entire staff is everything, it doesn’t matter who you get they are all amazing! They all go above and beyond to spoil you during your visit. You are well taken care of. I’ve been coming here since they opened about you ago, and I won’t go anywhere else. They also have a reward program, every 9 treatments you get one free! I can’t say enough how much I love this place!!!

I had my first pedicure today at 142 Beauty Spot, I would recommend this business to anyone. They went beyond the call of duty. What a fantastic group of people, with great service.

I get my nails done every two weeks, I recently visited this salon with two of my girl friends and not only did they have an amazing array of colors, but they were so friendly and fun! Best customer service I have ever received in a nail salon. We were served champagne and fruit. It was an overall amazing experience. I am definitely going back!

Wow! That’s my reaction as soon as I walked in. I RARELY Unilocal a review, but damn! The employees made we feel welcomed as soon as I walked in. They provided amazing service from start to finish, they even have fun. I enjoyed the drinks and energy while I was there. I love an hour away and will make the drive based on their service. Thank you for an amazing experience.

Denise was my favorite when she was over at Beauty Lounge, and I couldn’t be more thrilled when she opened her own salon literally around the corner from my apartment! The place is impeccable, has a relaxing atmosphere with champagne and snacks, and all the girls Denise employs do a good, thorough job on your nails. I’ve had lengthy pedicures with a hot stone massage as well as quick in-​and-​out «can you get me out of here with a shellac manicure in 45 minutes flat?» appointments and they’ve accommodated both without sacrificing excellent customer service.

I took my 3 teenagers (boys too!) for pedicures and the staff made them feel comfortable and took great care of them. The manager and her team were very attentive and did great work!

They we so thoughtful & did a wonderful job. I will be back & will be referring all my girlfriends!!!

Very cute and clean… Denise was wonderful, and all of the staff was very kind & accommodating.
It is so rare to see a business where the staff is so obviously personally invested, and truly enjoy taking good care of people.

Love love love this nail salon, I’m so glad I found this salon. It’s tucked in between 2 other businesses but don’t let that deter you! They have a wide selection nail polish colors and different brands to choose from. Denise (I believe she manager maybe the owner) is always so nice and welcoming! The past couple of times I’ve been I’ve been offered champagne and fill it up fruit snacks which were delicious. The chairs are state of art, they have a usb connection port so don’t forgot to bring your phone charger! The one thing that impresses me the most is how clean the facility is. They always use clean tools in peel packs and the foot soak it always lined with a plastic liner which is changed after each client which most salons fail to do. They take the time and make sure the polish is right and the after massages are always on point! 100% recommend! This is the one and only salon I will go to!

My first time here was not too bad. They did an okay job and my nails lasted almost 3 weeks. They were great with my kids and offered me drinks and snacks and were very friendly and talkative. The second time, I was not at all pleased with the end result. They were so bumpy and bubbly and had several little craters in every single nail. They also filed them too thin and crooked and one of them broke, but she just painted right over it along with all of the dirt and fuzz from the towel. They were really jagged on the edges and kept snagging on the towel and everything else once I got home. The only reason I did not ask her to fix them right then and there was because she had already filed them so thin and the file caught my skin a few times and caused little cuts. The next day, I called and asked them to please fix their mistakes and they were more than happy to try, but the polka dotted bumpiness was blamed on the matte finish (even though I could clearly see leftover gel from the set they removed and could feel they were not smooth before she put on the new polish, which I pointed out) and my broken nail was once again just painted over instead of mended and more specks of dirt painted over, visible through the top coat. While I left with them looking better than the day before and I appreciate their attempt to fix it for free, I unfortunately do not think I can keep taking the risk and settling for a color and top coat choice I really didn’t want, in an attempt to hide blemished nails with bumps and bubbles.
I had originally given a much better review of this place, because I didn’t want to nitpick, but after having to go somewhere else to finally fix the nail they broke and it took over a half hour to remove the gel because 142 Beauty Spot had put so many coats on, in an attempt to conceal their mistakes, I realized I did have a reason to say what was.

Let me start off by saying I am very picky, yet this place managed to please me. They are so sweet and accommodating. They made sure I was comfortable by giving me a drink and pineapples lol. Vannie knew I was from out of town so she went above and beyond by recommending a place to eat near my hotel.
It is a very clean and trendy nail Salon with lots of beautiful colors. I will definitely come back when I am in town. I LOVE MY NAILS!!!

So relaxing, calm and quiet! Beautiful interior, great chairs and amazing professional staff. Highly recommend the Deluxe Manicure and Pedicure; worth the extra investment. Thank you, Ladies of 142 Beauty Spot!

I love this place. The owner and all the workers are such sweet hearts. The only thing I don’t like is that I can never find parking and don’t want to pay $ 8 to park for an hour pedi. Still, I come back every month.

Had a great experience with my manicure today! Found this spot on Unilocal and decided to give it a try since I was in the area. Beautiful shop with friendly staff! I went in with a friend 10 min before closing and they welcomed me. They offer you something to drink and brought us sliced apples and pineapple. My manicure was not rushed at all and turned out amazing! All of their tools are sterilized and they use liners for there pedicure tubs. Huge selection of colors and nail type options. Will definitely return. My manicure was $ 15 and my friends pedicure was $ 27 and included a hot stone massage.

Lashes look so natural not heavy and the staff were amazing. Staff see very attentive and accommodating! I will definitely recommend this to anyone in a heart beat. It’s a beautiful salon with full services from nails to facials to massage to waxing and last but not least lash extensions. Everyone should try this salon out in Hillcrest if you are a local or just a visitor/​tourist!!!

Really beautiful salon! I was able to get a walk in appt with Vanny and she did an amazing gel manicure for me. She was also a lot of fun to chat with which is a bonus. Will definitely be back to see her!

Denise and the ladies here do a fabulous job!
They have a nice ambiance and they do a great job, the best colors by far

1. I arrived as they were closing and they were able to take me for a mani & pedi. They did a fantastic job on both & didn’t rush me out of there.
2. Linh & DD both used my name & talked with me thru my mani & pedi.
3. I was offered champagne, water and they brought me a delicious apple.
It was a warm welcoming environment, they play funny videos on a flat screen and have a large selection of both gel & nail-​polish colors.

I’m not reviewing this on service but I will on the fact that they were nice enough to let me and homegirl use their bathroom during desperate times to urinate!
My friend was wearing an «Asian» straw hat and the ladies were hyped as hell, so we took a picture. It seriously made my day that I needed to post about it!
A friendly staff, clean environment and bathrooms and all sorts of services on nail care, massages and waxing.

Absolutely great!
They have outstanding customer service and are really flexible with walk ins. I made an appointment an hour before I went in. Prices are incredible and the work that they do is just amazing! The person that was doing my nails was very patient and really helpful when it came to choosing what colors I wanted.
Definitely the place to go! Not only are they great with your nails but the atmosphere was nice and comfortable. Beautiful salon and definitely clean. They go out of their way to get to know the customers to build a good relationship unlike other salons where you go several times consecutively and they don’t even bother to remember your name.

This is a new spot! It’s clean and I like the layout of the place, with its manicure «bar» and the way they display their polishes.
I got a deluxe pedi + gel manicure, plus flower designs on my big toes. Total came up to $ 72. The ladies did a nice, clean job. And the lady that did my toes didn’t skimp on the massages/​extras that came with the «deluxe» pedi… :D
I also like their spa chairs, they’re surprisingly one of the only ones that move forward enough for me to comfortable place my feet at the foot rest (short people problems hahaha).
I was offered a beverage when I sat down and I gladly accepted the champagne. :) i also spent a good amount of time talking to the manager, Denise, she was very friendly and we shared some good laughs throughout our conversation.
Only con to this location is it miiight be difficult to find parking, as it IS In Hillcrest. I got lucky and was able to find street parking close by, across the street. I will not deduct that from their rating, parking can be a hassle around that neighborhood, so allot yourself some time to find parking.
I will definitely be returning here! :)

MY NEW NAIL SALON !!! After my sister had her nails done at The Beauty Spot I had to go get my full set ! I fell in love with the up to date décor, amazing service, and quality !!! They have the best brand nail polish like OPI, Essie, and over 1000 gel colors. They have new professional massage chairs and complimentary champagne and fruit. My nail tech was Denise she was very professional, very sweet and attentive ! I’ve been to Beauty Lounge, Uptown Nails and Tippy Toes and none of those nail salons compares to the high quality of The Beauty Spot! You have to see for yourself ! Walk in or call to make an appointment you won’t regret it!
Once you try The beauty Spot you WILL go back to The Beauty Spot !

After a looooong week at work, I figured it was time for a pedicure. My friend had tried out 142 Beauty Spot and directed me to them.
The place is brand spankin’ new and clean as a whistle. I had made an appointment, and my friend and I were seated in adjacent chairs as soon as we finished choosing our polish (they have tons of options, including the biggest selection of Essie polishes I’ve ever seen in a salon). Once seated in our massage chairs (brand new, tons of settings, and a USB port on the side), we were offered a little lychee champagne. Off to a good start!
The pedicure itself was great. I got the deluxe spa which included a salt scrub, mud mask, massage, and hot stone rub! And, they did callous removal for no charge, which was nice. The whole pedicure lasted about an hour and 15 minutes, which was fine by me!
The deluxe spa pedicure is $ 40; the normal spa pedicure is $ 27.
Everyone was so nice (especially Sue, who tended to my feet, and Sophie, who was helping my friend out).
It was one of the most relaxing pedicures I’ve had. I will most definitely be back!

Brand New!!! Super Duper Clean!!! Awesome décor!!! the prices are great, service is so personal and so amazing!!! …and did I mention that it is SUPER CLEAN!!! They offer a ton of services (facials, waxing, etc), tons of colors and lots of goodies! it’s really more than just a mani/​pedi, it’s an experience!

some of the additional perks: complimentary mimosas, filtered water and tea. there are always random & delicious snacks, great music, really great conversation (yes, in English!) and powerful massage chairs.

What a great pedicure spot! 142 Beauty Spot is a very high-​end establishment but with great prices. The décor is state of the art with brand new massage chairs and a custom built gel manicure table. The selection of nail polish was beyond imaginable. They have probably over a hundred Essie colors and another couple hundred of OPI and other brands. And, because they just opened, all the colors are the most current. There was at least 10 Essie colors I want to try this spring/​summer.
I was offered a variety of drinks and snacks upon arriving. I declined, but the owner said I really must try the lychee champagne… how could I refuse? Upon bringing it out, she also brought me a plate of cut up pineapple with a toothpick. I’ve been to every nail shop in the area, and this one def has the best refreshments.
However, I rarely indulge in nail-​salon snacks, so I definitely didn’t let that guide my experience. The pedicure itself was great! My technician, Lynn, took her time and was very delicate. I usually feel like they clip my cuticles way too quick, but she took her time, which I appreciated. The massage portion was nice with an added bonus of a short hot stone rub down at the end! The hot stones elevated the pedi above anywhere else I’ve been.
One other aspect I appreciated was a full hour-​long pedi with callous remover was one set price. Most of time time they try to up charge you along the way. I sat down and was given a top-​notch pedi with no discussion of price. When I went to pay, I was so pleasantly surprised that it was only $ 22. I believe this was after the 25% discount for their grand opening. What a great deal!
