Only a little over a year ago, we had another flooring company install a wood floor after a remodel, and it immediately failed due to improper installation. That company showed no remorse, took no accountability or ownership for their mistakes and instead they wasted 6 – 9 months of my family’s precious time avoiding calls, blaming other parties and ultimately disappearing.
Not knowing where to turn (and feeling more than a little skeptical after being burned so badly) I found Abbey Carpet after reading several online reviews. Seth and Shah came out, looked things over, offered an objective appraisal of the poor job that had been done previously and their thoughts on how to get the job done right. Seth was amazing… he got on his cell phone and dialed direct to various manufacturers to troubleshoot what had failed with the prior installation and research high quality floor prep and materials that would get our job done correctly. Seth did this in one afternoon on his cell phone in an efficient and transparent manner.
The installation was done professionally with good lines and the final outcome is beautiful.
Since the installation, Seth, Shah and Gabriel have followed up to ensure we are satisfied with the final product and have been very responsive to all questions that have arisen.
My family is so thankful for the attention to detail and the service we received and continue to receive. We recommend Abbey Carpet and Flooring to anyone thinking about new flooring and will use them for any future needs.

I purchased carpet from Abbey Carpet and Tile and also had them do the installation of both the carpet (and some tile that I already had) about 2 years ago. There was a bit of a glitch with the delivery of the carpet, but I was very happy with the final product. The carpet that Seth helped me pick out is perfect, and the installers were professional and did a great job. Follow-​up has been impressive as well. I noticed some bumps that recently developed in the carpet. I sent an email with some pictures, and Seth called me almost immediately. Even though it’s been a couple of years, he was incredibly responsive– he explained that the carpet needed to be re-​stretched and kept in touch to make sure that I was contacted
and an appointment was made. The carpet was re-​stretched and looks great!

Exceptional service from this family-​owned carpet store in Miramar. We needed a carpet installed quickly and couldn’t decide on a design. Seth and Justine worked with us in a short space of time and gave us an unbeatable price with high-​quality memory foam membrane included. The installers were very professional and we are very happy with the finished product.

This place is great. Don’t let the looks of the outside fool you, they have quality stuff inside. We have had 3 houses done with Seth, his Mom and Company. Every time we come in we are treated like family. They show us the best products that, our project can afford. We have had rug and hard wood flooring installed on multiple locations, the installations have always exceeded our needs. we’ve done our research and compared prices with the big box stores, and a bunch of the places along Miramar… The prices are lower and the material is better, and they go the extra mile on installation.
Search around before you come here, that way you know your getting a smoking deal.

Had a great experience with Adam at Abbey in Mira Mesa. He was extremely patient and worked hard for our business. Went out of his way to work with us even during his family vacation. Out of all the stores I visited on Miramar Rd. and San Marcos, I would honestly rate Adam and Abbey Carpet in terms of customer service, the best of them all. In the end we went with another store because I had given my word to them (before doing my due diligence with Adam/​Abbey Carpet). They are reasonably priced, and very customer focused. I highly recommend using Abbey Carpet & Floors for your next flooring project. The team at Abbey did an excellent job in helping me install wood floors in my entire home. Seth and his staff are professional and fun at the same time. The store feels like a family run business not like you might feel at a discount flooring store. They provide personalized service and will go above and beyond to help in any way that they can. I love the result of the floors and the entire process so I am one happy customer! I will use them again for future projects!

I am a very happy customer!!! I started working with Abbey in late August 2015 with plans to replace all the flooring in our home. On September 1, 2015, we had a hot water slab leak in the home that trumped the flooring replacement… temporarily! We found alternate materials for both carpeting and tile at another company and when I presented these choices to Abbey, they were on board with meeting our choices. And then the challenge began…
Following the plumbing repairs and other remodeling needs, the Abbey Team stepped up to locate the material we loved for both tile and carpet… kudos to Alec for finding the carpet!
The install team for the tile… William, Hector and Lou were fantastic and very attentive to detail… the install team for the carpet… Frank and Pablo were outstanding and again great attention to detail! Everyone at Abbey including Gabriel, Adam, Justine, Shah and Seth helped in various aspects of this project and were always gracious, polite and professional. The pricing was reasonable and the customer service was exceptional! You just need to be able to deal with large personalities… make it fun!

Wow, just a fantastic job that was done. We purchased a townhome in Mira Mesa and after shopping around six locations, we decided to go with Abbey’s. The property was a foreclosure, and the previous owners decided to trash the floors before leaving. The entire living room area smelled like dog urine, and the upstairs carpet had a dark tinge to it (we saw the carpet originally was a light beige color because the carpeting in the closet wasn’t touched… The rest of the upstairs, though… yikes!).
Being on a budget, we had to find someone who would be able to remove all the carpet from both upstairs and downstairs, treat our floors for the smells, and then do a tile job downstairs because we wanted tile. Until we found Abbey’s, we had reluctantly decided that we would just have to settle for carpeting our entire home because tile just came out to be too expensive. After visiting Abbey’s, we were delighted to find their huge selection at a rate affordable to us (just for reference, the quotes for JUST TILE DOWNSTAIRS at every other location was MORE EXPENSIVE than Abbey’s final cost for our ALL THE FLOORS ON ENTIRE HOME!)
We spent a lot of time going through their extensive selection of tile and carpet. Seth, the owner came out to do a measurement and was so charming and helpful with making sure everything was measured accurately as well as tips on materials and ideas for design. Justine, the representative who helped us with the selection of our materials, found a carpet that we loved and felt similar to a very expensive carpet we originally wanted (Camelot Luxe). As for their tiles, we were thrilled by the Marazzi tile we saw at other locations but felt out of our price range. From when we signed our contract to when the job was completed (aside from travel time of the tile which was from out of state) it only took them a week to finish everything.
The installers did an excellent job. Frank and Pablo spent two days doing all our carpeting upstairs and William and Hector spent another three getting all our tiles done. We love the look of our floors, and are so happy that we found Abbey’s. When we redo our entire kitchen, we will definitely come back to Seth and his team!

We just purchased a brand new home and decided to have wood like tile installed. The crew working at our home — William, Lu, and Hector were very professional, friendly and easy to work with. Having 6 people in the house while installing floor wasn’t an easy task and they delivered wonderfully.
They finished our 1800 sq ft home in less than two weeks.
We love our new floors!

I totally agree with all the great reviews about Abbey Carpet and Floor, Miramar location. Their customer service and quality and pricing of their products are superb! Seth and Justine are an awesome pair to work with. They were very helpful and made me feel like family and not just a customer. I didn’t have to negotiate on the pricing as I was already certain from my research before coming back to the store that their prices are not only highly competitive but they also give additional discount.
I will definitely recommend them to all of my friends and family.

Searched for 2 yrs for most affordable, reliable and knowledgeable flooring company in miramar, kearny and even southbay. Only Abbey’s stand amongst all of them. Seth has the heart of gold, hilarious and very good with helping you select the right floor within your budget without the hassle. All the workers are very professional and works above and beyond our expectations. If i can only give them 10 stars i will in a heartbeat! …the X’s said hello to all!

Wow! Great experience end-​to-​end. First off, they were very competitive on price (I compared many other places, both well-​known names such as Home Depot and Lowe’s, but also at least 6 or 7 other smaller, local companies. None compared with Abbey and many came out significantly above Abbey. And yes, I went through the trouble of getting several fairly detailed bids as I like to make an informed decision, especially about a big project like this.
When it came to the service, I truly can’t imagine anybody beating them either. The owner Seth and his guys made the process both professional, super fun and effective. They had great suggestions as well as help along the way in choosing designs and materials. And a pretty transparent quote. Seth’s an awesome guy and quite the character :)
As for the installation itself (I chose laminate throughout, except for tiles in the bathrooms), the quality was excellent too. While they ended up going a few days over the estimated time, it was because quality was not compromised, on the contrary. The end result looks great and I am very happy with both the choices of material as well as the final installed product.
For the completion of this review, there were two small things that weren’t done to perfection (and a 6-​star review ;)). One was the baseboard installation. Or rather the painting of the baseboards. I had the whole place painted right prior to the flooring being done and the painting of the baseboards could be better, even though it wasn’t really bad per se and painting isn’t their business, but Abbey at this point had set the bar very high! The second issue was that putting down the flooring created a huge amount of dust that was everywhere, in every nook and cranny of furniture and anything else on display. As I pointed out (and I believe they will do next time), they should have covered things up with plastic. While they cleaned up pretty nicely after themselves, I still had to spend many hours cleaning *everything*.
As for courtesy and professionalism with the installers, that was a clear 5+ star experience as well.
So all-​in-​all, the small issues can not even come close to make this anything less than a clear 5-​star deal. If you are in the market for having new flooring, you owe it to yourself to pay Abbey and Seth a visit! I can highly recommend them.

Excellent results! I am trilled with the tile job we had done by Abbey.
We had tile and carpet in our condo, which was replaced with wood looking tile. The entire team was very professional and did an excellent job. They made sure the job finished on time and on budget. The guidance they gave led to the exact look we were hoping to achieve.
I highly recommend their work.

My experience with Abbey was a hoot! I walked in knowing what type of tile I wanted and how much, and simply needed to place an order because Marazzi tile doesn’t sell directly to consumers. I was greeted by Seth Bogart and he was so gregarious. I felt like I was talking to an over the top movie director, but he was knowledgable and professional to go along with his big personality. He made a simple tile order fun.
And, most importantly, he was honest. He showed me in a manufacturer’s binder what his cost for the materials would be and then was very reasonable with his markup. I left feeling like I got a good deal and next time I need installation work I’ll probably come to them for that too.

Had a blast working with the gang over at Abbey. I initially called and was advised to come into the store. At the time, I was hoping to get some real information over the phone, but I now understand that it really is better to walk in the store and get some face time with them. And aside from the shop talk, talking with them was a really fun way to spend some time. Bring your sense of humor — it’s kind of a trip.
Something I really appreciated was an itemized estimate on the spot. No made up number in which you have no idea where it even came from. The estimate came in significantly below a couple other places. The team came to the house several times to measure and verify what needed to be done. They were upfront with everything from price to potential issues that may arise.
Our kitchen floor was at the time about a quarter inch higher than the adjacent living room, and other places told us on the spot that this could not be made even. We were told that we could only put tile in the kitchen. Jay (installer and REALLY nice guy) took a look and dug a bit deeper into why there was a difference. He was pretty confident it could be done. While Jay felt cautiously optimistic about being able to pull this off, Abbey was honest about not making promises. This was nice.
We also had carpeting in part of the hallway that we wanted replaced with wood. New wood was required for this section of the hallway,
In addition to new hard wood and carpeting, we had them sand and stain all of our existing hardwood. We went with the English Chestnut. Has a rich brown color with a slight red hue but not an overpowering amount. It looks great! Jay painted a bunch of samples and put up with us a we went back and forth (again, really nice guy).
New wood was installed in the hallway, and Jay laced it in directly with the existing wood. Never would have known that the wood didn’t exist previously. The kitchen to living room transition is seamless. Flush and the color matches. Like the hallway, you would have never known that there was ugly laminate raised a quarter in the kitchen.
We replaced the carpeting in the master bed as well. It’s awesome. We ordered a very plush line in the iron frost color. Feels great on your feet and was not expensive. Looks great on grey walls. I forget which carpet brand, but Abbey, feel free to respond and let people know.
Something to note is that you can tell Jay takes a lot of pride in his work. He’s not just doing a job. His heart is in it. This came out as he was trying to figure out the raised kitchen issue. He wanted it to look good for himself as well as us. Going half-​assed was not an option. I would definitely ask that he does the install.
Overall, Abbey Carpet was a pleasure all the way through. Somehow, the final price came in a bit under the initial estimate, and everybody who sees the floors loves them (so do we). The other reviews are on point about them treating you like family.
