Adriana gave me the most painless wax I’ve ever gotten, and I’m a big baby about pain so this says a lot. Her Brazilian bikini wax is a little pricier than I’m used to, but she’s really good at her job. Definitely would recommend going to her!

I have been coming to Adriana since 2003 when I moved to San Diego and she is waxing and taking care of my skin since then. I wouldn’t think about anybody else do my brazilian (she is from Brazil
Btw) or touch my face but her. The place is well located around Bankers Hills, super pleasant and relatively easy to find parking. Adriana is a sweetheart too as a person but more than that she knows her business.

I have had many facials over my years, but never one as amazing as the one from Adriana at Adriana Skin Care. Her place is so cute and from start to finish it was an exceptional experience. I walked in with dull flaky skin and out the door I glowed. And as a bonus, it was more relaxing then most massages I’ve received. I was in such a state of zen leaving that I almost walked in front of two cars! I cannot wait to go back for another facial and will definitely try a peel for the fall.

Finding a great place for skin care is virtually impossible in San Diego. Skin care salons are everywhere! Search no longer. Not only will your skin look and feel amazing, you will most likely make a new friend. Adriana is such a sweetheart, you can’t help but want to know her. She is thorough, detailed and patient. The salon is cozy and welcoming, especially after a long stressful day. I always book my next facial/​waxing in advance, because I count the days before I can return. Yay! Love this girl.

I absolutely love this place! Adreana is a remarkable person and is extremely professional.
I like that I get what a pay for and her work is top notch quality work. I always feel comfortable and at ease when I am here for a service. Very clean too!
This establishment is now my go to for waxing! I’ve even switched from my normal eyebrow waxer to Adreana and I won’t go anywhere else for a Brazilian.

I have been seeing adriana for about 7 years now for a brazilian wax! She does a great job, is very friendly and the salon always smells great with relaxing music. Would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a comfortable place for their waxing needs.

Adriana has been my goto for the past 5 ½ years and i can’t imagine going anyplace else! She is so accommodating with my busy, shifting schedule and always makes herself available for my «emergencies». For facials, waxes and peels she is thorough, creates a comfortable environment and takes the time to give me the best advice on products and regimens without a care in the world about trying to upsell.
It is a clean, friendly, cozy environment where you instantly know you are in good hands.
And on the rare occasion Adriana cannot make room in her schedule for me, Rose has been fantastic too!
I highly recommend to all!

I’m not much of a Unilocal reviewer, but I felt that this review is absolutely necessary. I’ve been seeing Adriana for my brazilian wax for about 4 – 5 years now. I’ve been a loyal customer, going in every 5 – 6 weeks and have never even tried another waxing place.
Adriana has always been very friendly and the place itself is super cute, always smells good, and is very warm and inviting. You instantly feel at ease when you walk in.
Her price of $ 48 for a brazilian is fair, but by no means cheap, so I expect cleanliness as well as great customer service. Unfortunately, if you’re looking for sanitary, this is not the place. A few weeks ago I ended up with an infection after having had a brazilian done the day before. For a while now I’ve been noticing that Adriana double dips the popsicle sticks she uses to apply the wax. I’ve been uncomfortable with it and have been thinking about taking my business elsewhere for this reason, but since I had been going to her for so many years, I couldn’t bring myself to try somewhere new. Her pot of wax is always dirty with wax dripping down the side, and I never see her sanitize her tweezers that she uses to tweeze any leftover stray hairs. I understand that it can get expensive to use a new stick every time she dips it in wax, but she is putting her customers at risk for bacteria, and this is not acceptable.
Also, I don’t appreciate that she is constantly texting and on her phone while waxing me. I’m sitting there half naked, I think taking out your phone is extremely rude and unprofessional.
I’m not sure about the other ladies here, since I’ve only ever seen Adriana, so maybe they are more respectful of their customers’ health and privacy.

GO SEE DAWN!
One of the things I was looking for was a good aesthetician. I had used the same one for years, but she is in another state. When I first moved here there was another place I had gone to because of a Groupon I had… My skin actually got scratched! I had been getting microdermabrasion for a few years and never had that happen!
Dawn at Adriana was a reference and she has just been golden! She really cares about taking care of your skin and that the facials/​creams work for you (not everyone’s skin is the same). She has taken the time to get to know my skin. At this point, she has already become my go to at Adriana’s, I just did not get the opportunity to write a review yet!

Just got a hibiscus enzyme peel/​facial from Dawn, and absolutely love her! I had a bad experience from the past up in NorCal and was hesitant to try another professional treatment at all, but I was getting desperate for someone to change my mind. Dawn made me feel right at home and will definitely be coming back next time! Yay! 2 thumbs up.

Rose was excellent. There is no way around it, getting a Brazilian is always awkward, but Rose made is so much less awkward. The wax she uses is awesome and is soooo much less painful than traditional hot wax. She was kind and professional the whole time and Im so excited to have found her! Thanks Rose!

Ask for Dawn, she is very sweet, friendly and knowledgeable about her craft!
She specializes in organic and botanical facials and skin care. Dawn also works at Lavish in Mission Hills, they make a multitude of homemade skin care products and she uses these in her facials. What I especially liked is that she could tell me the ingredients and why they work. Supporting local biz, very cool ;-)
I got a pumpkin peel which I highly recommend, I could see a big difference on my face the next day. She also used a high frequency UV ray (I believe it’s also referred to as a «Tesla») on my back to remove blemishes. It works like a charm.
All in all, I’m very satisfied with Dawn and Adriana Skin Care in general. It is a quiet, classy and quaint spot in Bankers Hill, you won’t be disappointed.

Wow! I went in for my first wax ever with Adriana. She is amazing! She really made me feel at ease and made the whole experience enjoyable. She really went above and beyond. My wedding was 3 days away and I was a little nervous about having redness from my eyebrows so close to the wedding; Adriana was very careful in her application and I had no residual redness or irritation on my skin. I wouldn’t think to go anywhere else now!

Yep, this place is so good, I’m writing another review. If you are looking for a new place to get waxed – just save yourself the hassle and the headaches and come here. Just do it. I use Rose and she is AWESOME. This is about as painless as it gets.
For the Brazilian, she only uses hard wax – and it’s the good stuff. If you go in with a decent length, it’s painless. A little discomfort? Sure. No Brazilian is totally pain-​free. But I went a month after my previous wax (so I had some growth, but not a ton) and I would tense up expecting the worst, but I was always pleasantly surprised when the «ouch» was like a tenth of what I expected it to be. And she doesn’t rush and try and get it all done in 5 seconds flat, like some places do… I hate that! And she uses a great calming aloe afterwards.
I (stupidly) tried another place for my waxes because I didn’t plan ahead and book in advance and I just wanted to be hairless – that day – right then and there, couldn’t wait. Big mistake. I experienced a wax from hell which was accompanied by stubble growing far too quickly, irritation, sensitivity, bumps, ingrown hairs… it was terrible. This time, I booked in advance, and it was super smooth, no irritation and NO tenderness! The tenderness part is key – that was the biggest eye-​opener for me.
Come here, you won’t regret it!

I went to Adriana for my very first Brazilian Wax. I’ve actually never waxed in that area before so I was really nervous because of fear that the pain would be more than I can bear. But after searching on Unilocal and reading the reviews, I decided to gather some courage and make an appointment with Adrianna.
Adrianna was very professional and knowledgeable. She walked me through the entire process and made me feel very comfortable for something I thought could be an easily awkward situation.
She was very sweet and patient and told me to let her know if the pace she was going was fine. She really did make this first experience a good one for me. I can’t say it was pain free but to be honest I didn’t feel any real pain. Very far from what I imagined in my head. She mentioned how she uses Hard Wax is gentler on the skin and which I found to be more of my cup of tea.
Since it was my first time, the process took about 45 minutes which for me I would prefer to have someone go slow and take their time and be more thorough than to do a quick rush job, not get everything and be in lots of pain later.
I will definitely come back. Thank you Adrianna!!!

I absolutely adore Adriana skin care! I’ve been going to Adriana for a very long time, I’m surprised it’s taken me so long to review. I have only ever seen Adriana for my appointments. She takes care of EVERYTHING for me from facials to waxing. I really like her because she is so professional yet likable. She’s never awkward and I never feel uncomfortable. She really takes her time and she somehow makes waxing not so painful. She never pushes products on me, but when I ask for her opinion I really trust that what she suggests is what I’m looking for. She is really knowledgable on all her products. I would highly recommend investing in this numbing gel she has available, «numb-​it»
I also have to give a quick side note on the products she has available. Barbor and Glo. Such good stuff!!! I’m in love with Glo therapeutics «healing gel» this stuff works so good on new blemishes that just need to go away quickly! Anyway, this place is just awesome and you should definitely give it a go.

Went to Adriana two weeks ago to get my bikini wax done, and I’m very happy with the experience.
Rose was super friendly and nice, but the most important part is… she is very professional, did the job fast but not rush-​unlike some people do it super fast and feels like they are in a hurry-​.
I’ll be lying if I said it’s not painful at all, but overall it was definitely less pain. The result was very good. My past few waxing experiences always gives me rashes, and the hair grows bad within 2−3days, which means the hair was broken instead of «removed from the root», yet this time with Rose I found I have NONE rashes, the hair didn’t grow back till a week after the waxing, and ZERO ingrown hair.
I made my appointment with Rose was because the deal on Unilocal was pretty good, only $ 15 for $ 25 service, but after this time I think I will definitely go back.
