Agreed with one of the other reviews, spent over 10 $ to wash some clothes and two blankets, the most I’ve ever spent for some laundry. There are far better places than this and I’ve been to college and this place is definitely not worth it, had to dry my clothes at home cause I didn’t want to spend the extra 4minuted to dry per quarter. This is called advantage because they take advantage.

They need to accept Jesus or they’re going to hell. You know it. I know it. And of course, Jesus knows it.

I used Advantage Supersize Coin Laundry for the first time last week, as my own washer was being repaired. I read all the reviews and tried to be observant while I was there.
I was there early in the morning and the facility was perfectly clean. I can’t comment for how it is kept up during the day, but I felt comfortable cleaning all of my clothes there. The term «double load» washers are not exactly what I would consider double load. Two sets of queen sized sheets would not have fit. However, they held about 1 ½ my typical load and did a nice job of getting clothes clean. The driers are big and they do get hot, but as the sign says, typical loads need 30 – 40 minutes. This does cause the price of a load of laundry to end up costing a minimum of $ 5.50. To me that seemed like a lot but I’ve been out of the Laundromat game for a while.
It’s too bad they couldn’t find a way to add more seating, but I understand ADA compliance is a big deal. Would be nice if they could trust customers/​people enough to have folding chairs that could be moved around. But I would guess that people are rude and might try to take them.
If you need a Laundromat in Mira Mesa, this seems like a trustworthy place to go. Maybe try bringing your own folding chair and lots and lots of quarters!

I’ve been doing my laundry here for quite a while this place is pretty clean… The only thing is there’s no bathroom and there’s only a small bench to sit on so either you sit outside or in your car to wait for your laundry to finish.

We are traveling from Hawaii and needed a place to wash a bunch of baseball uniforms and clothes. I rarely go to laundromats but we didn’t have a choice. I really like that this place was pretty clean and had a lot of coin operated machines and dryers. They had 2, 4, 5 and even a 8 Load washing machine! Wow! Time saver and money saver to just do one large load! The dryers are commercial sized and were very quick. They had a change machine and metal rolling baskets to use and tables to sort clothes on. The only thing that I thought would be better is that they only had a 2 seater bench to sit on and no restroom. So you need to kill time by going to the other places close by or eating around the area. Over all great clean no non sense place to get your clothes clean. Lastly the people there were fine, I was a little concerned about unsavory characters at laundromats but everyone was nice.

Very clean facility and machines are easy to operate. I got my laundry done quickly for an appropriate price. I recommend them to anyone in the area

Clean and bright. Lots of different size washing machines. Here to wash some comforters. I have a front load kenmore machine and it seems to be the same size as the triple load washer for $ 5. Had to use the 5 load machine ($ 8) to wash a queen/​king comforter and some pillows. The dryer costs a quarter for 5 min but is very strong. Took about 25 min to dry comforter and also 2 pillows.

I’ve wasted time and way too many quarters here on a dryer that does not dry and it’s only cotton… Never coming back!

are they serious with these prices??? I haven’t been to a laundromat in a while but geez what a rip off! it cost me $ 10 to wash and dry one load. I only came here because I have a large blanket that doesn’t fit in the washing machines in the laundromat in my complex and that is always $ 2 for wash and dry. The dryer is a quarter for every 5 minutes. Also, there isn’t ample seating. I had to hang out in my car.

Our washer broke and we desperately needed some laundry done. The reviews of the Poway places were not good so I decided to go to this place and was glad I did. The place is clean and the wash cycle was fairly fast (30 minutes). The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because there was no place to sit. Not a big deal to me but may be for some people. I will definitely go back if I have to.

Not terrible, but not great. Prices are slightly higher than most other places, but I do like their selection of machines. I’ve never had to wait for an open one.
My biggest bone to pick here is the parking. There’s a ton of parking in the main lot. But in the three 5-​minute spots right in front, not so much. EVERY TIME I have been there (5x total), people park in those spots for the duration of doing their laundry. Usually all three spots. I have had to carry a ridiculous amount of laundry to and from the parking lot because of this. Honestly, it’s my main reason for finding another laundromat. Nobody from the business pays any attention to it. Carrying my laundry (I usually have a lot) to and from the farther away parking lot is just ridiculous, especially when their carts can’t leave the building. I brought my psychiatric service dog with me once (it’s hard to be around that many people for me), but didn’t bring him after that because it’s so inconvenient to have to park far away and juggle the laundry that far, I suffered through it. Bringing him would make the already inconvenient logistics more stressful going back and forth.
I considered asking those in the laundromat who’s cars they are and if they can move them, but the one time I did nobody said anything so I figure that’s futile, and I’m not going to get into an argument with some ignorant person over it. That’s not my job, it’s the manager of the facility’s job.

The place is clean, the owners are a nuisance either the owners mom, a stern woman hounds your every move, or the son places your laundry baskets on top of the machines. I was simply getting quarters (there is never change) and she asks me if I was doing laundry there, (no I come here for the slot machines)! Really! I say «yes I am» and she replies good some people think we’re a bank. Next she sets a lawn chair down in the middle of the floor and critiques every clients move. Horrible service. I will not be back.

2 Load Washer $ 3.50 — I normally only do 1 and ½ loads in one washer. Done in 30 minutes.
Large Dryer .25 for 5 minutes. Takes between $ 1.00 — $ 1.50 depending on how many pieces of clothes, and the type. I did 5 bath towels and 2 hand towels for $ 1.25.
Seating is the only negative, but I dont have much time to sit anyways.
I used 8 of the 2 load washing machine, and 10 dryers, my laundry for the week is done in an hour and a half. I’m happy.
Spent about $ 33.00. A bit expensive, but I believe you get what you pay for, reasonable for the reliability and the cleanliness. I could have used the 8 loader and saved some money, but this way I know my clothes come out clean. Never used the 8 loader so this is not a dig on that machine.

I usually do my laundry further south in University Heights or North Park. Double washers down there are typically $ 2.50 or less. But there are not as many options in Mira Mesa.

I had a pretty good experience here.
The place looked clean and not stinky.
The machines were in good condition, gave my clothes a good cleaning.
There are limited seating and limited folding stations.
The only 2 reasons why I don’t give a 5 star:
The drying machines are 25 cents but I had to use almost 3 dollars/​machine so my clothes dry properly.
When we got home to fold the clothes there were hair balls all over the clothes! It was new because we have never had that experience before with other laundry mats. I freaked out because my infant had a ball of hair on his hand from his blanket.
Something needs to be done to prevent this!
I will give this place a second chance.

Original or extra crispy?
That should be the settings on these laundry machines. I came here on Sunday to do my laundry because it’s right by a restaurant that I frequent. I dried my down comforter and my white undershirts in the drier to the left of the first pole. I was reading a magazine next to the machine when I noticed a burning smell. I came to realize it was coming from the drier with all my clothes.
Just as I had suspected. My white undershirts came out a golden toasted brown and my white down comforter came out shriveled and crispy like fried chicken skin. I’d have been hungry if I wasn’t so pissed off!

Well, I needed to wash a few big items that my home washer/​dryer probably wouldn’t have handled efficiently, so I decided to make my way to this neighborhood laundromat. I haven’t been to one of these since I was a 2^nd year in college!
I’m no laundromat expert, but I can tell you that this place is clean and the machines work and look like they’re kept in good shape. That’s good enough for me!
Like previous reviewers have mentioned, this place is narrow with machines lined up on both sides — no room to really throw in seats. (But I’m glad there are so many machines because man, people really use up those washers early on the weekends.) There’s room to hang around without being in the way though.
There are a variety of washer sizes for different prices (see below). I was able to wash my full-​size comforter, duvet cover, and fleece blanket in the Giant size. Dryer runs at 25 cents for every 5 minutes. Pretty good heat — I dried my stuff for 25 minutes and everything was good.
The «Double» definitely looks small, like someone else mentioned on here. Use your judgement when you consider what a «load» of laundry would be here.
Double (2 loads) — $ 3.50
Super (3 loads) — $ 5
Giant (5 loads) — $ 8
MEGA (8 loads) — $ 14 (there’s only one at the very back)
You can prepare your own quarters, or you can exchange your dolla bills at the machines at the front of the store!
Come early, especially when it’s the weekend, because people really take up those machines early! I came at 7:30 on a Sunday morning, and managed to get one. But I’d say 75% of the washers were already in use!

At the ripe age of 28 I had never been to a laundromat before. That’s right. I have always been a spoiled little b! tch with a washer/​dryer on the premises of wherever I lived.
But now I am fully immersed in the college experience, minus the whole being in college thing.
If you’re claustrophobic, then this may not be the laundromat for you. The place is narrow. Real narrow. After calculating about how much money it costs to run hot water and run a washer/​dryer I came to the conclusion that this place is kind of pricey and you’d be better off just buying units. Really. Just don’t do your laundry for about six months, and then buy yourself some appliances.
The shopping center it is located near a Popeye’s so that’s cool. Also, I went around 4:00 pm on a Tuesday or something like this and it wasn’t crowded at all. There are a ton of machines, from my limited experience. The thing is though they do like double load, that’s why it costs so much! You can throw in two loads of laundry in one machine and pay $ 3.75, then put the same load into the dryer and you’re in and out in 65 minutes. That’s pretty rad.

One of the two laundromats in Mira Mesa, and the one closest to my place. I usually come out here for the heavy duty stuff our washing machine can’t handle, such as our blankets and comforters.
While I like the parking, and I bring my cleaning supplies, what would it take to have a seating area installed? Seriously, browsing aroung Rite Aid and Seafood City gets kinda old!

So I guess I don’t get my money back because the power outage was due to some accident that happened at it’s SDG&E’s fault.
BUT the Coin-​Op Laundry did agree to pay for my next laundry visit and include soap.
Even tho I don’t get my money back, they were at least willing to meet me half way to resolve the situation of my money lost during the power outage.
Surprisingly I’m the only one that called about the problem (I guess cause I was using most of the washers and other people probably only lost $ 7 at the most… but I lost $ 52.50 because of the outage)
So I can completely understand when the Coin-​Op said the power outage was not their fault.
