Adventures In San Diego

I had a little staycation with one of my good friends on Memorial Day weekend. She lives out east, so I wanted to hit all the best in San Diego. She loves visiting Central Park, so I knew she had to see Balboa Park. What better way to tour a huge park than on a private segway tour? I found a deal for Adventures in San Diego on Travelocity. However, it was not very clearly marketed as Adventures in San Diego, it was just listed as a private segway tour. We got Bridgette, who happens to be the owner. She was amazing! Super knowledgeable, very passionate about San Diego, funny, and friendly. Throughout the tour, she offered to take a lot of pictures of us with our camera and even suggested some great spots in the park that ended up being our best pictures of the trip. She truly does care about her city too. While on the tour, a lady rode by us on a bicycle and threw a burning cigarette butt on the ground. Bridgette spent the time to turn around and pick it up. What really stood out about the tour is Bridgette’s ability to perform under pressure. I got going pretty quick in a parking lot and couldn’t stop and she saved my life! She talked me through it by risking her life and having me head directly towards her. She talked me down quickly and safely and no one was hurt. Bridgette has other tours around San Diego and I will definitely be checking them out. Even though I have lived here for 5 years, Bridgette taught me somethings I did not know. Overall, it was a super fun tour and I would highly recommend it to locals or visitors.

Friends of ours booked a segway tour in Balboa park. They had been on a tour last year and had a great time, so the four of us booked a tour through Balboa park with Bridgette as our guide. We had a fabulous time and leaned a great deal about the park and San Diego. Bridgette is very knowledgeable and seemed to structure the tour around our interests. She is a fantastic tour guide. She was very patient with a couple of beginners that had a little difficulty maneuvering the machine and we had a great day. We are looking forward to going back next year and doing the La Jolla tour with Bridgette.

We took a private segway tour through Balboa Park and it was great. Our host was Bridgette and she is awesome. This was our first time on a segway and my parents were nervous, especially my mom. Within a few minutes of being on the segway though, she felt very comfortable. If my mom could do it, anyone can.
I would highly recommend doing a tour with this company and would suggest getting a private tour so it is just your guide and family/​friends. P. s. your guide can probably get you good rates at other attractions in SD as well so be sure to call them up before so they can bring it when you do the segway tour.

My hubby and I booked a Segway tour to balboa park with Bridgette. From the pre-​tour practice (we were beginners) through to the end going over the bridge to balboa stadium, everything was PERFECT! Highlights: the fun of learning to ride on those things, (they go pretty fast so you can cover so much distance!)
Being able to see the best of balboa with Bridgette’s awesome commentary, (she knows her s_​_​_​!) Learned so much and had a blast at the same time. You will NOT be disappointed! Loved it! Oh, AND, it’s a private tour! Thanks for the lovely tour, snacks, water, beautiful weather, and patience with hubby!

Holy moly, what a blast! I can’t imagine a cooler tourist experience. Bridgette was an awesome super knowledgeable tour guide and the segway was like renting a jetski to cruise the city! Tons of fun. Thank you guys!

I set up a brew tour for my boyfriend’s birthday. We had a great time with Bridget! She took us the the best SD Breweries and we had a ton of fun! Can’t wait to take our next brew tour when family comes into town!

what a wonderful way to see san diego !! we booked a segway tour with Bridgette and had a blast !!! the best part is we got a private 2.5 hr ride all over the city !! there is a bunch of outfits that have tours… but this is your bet bet by far !!! Im sure in a few years she will have many people working for her as her business grows, as Im sure it will!!! I promise you will not regret booking with her. we will be back and do it again with some family.

We used Adventures in San Diego for a an amazing Beer Tour the day after our wedding last October. In my experience Beer tours aren’t always smooth sailing, but this one was not only super smooth, but we were catered to in style in every way! We had a large comfortable limo for transportation which accommodated our large post wedding group and all the rowdiness that came with it. haha. Bridgette, our tour guide, handled the whole tour and our wild bunch in stride, never missing a step — keeping us on schedule, but never making us feel rushed… She was super knowledgeable, prepared for everything we threw her way, and A+++ all around. We managed to hit up 3 different breweries, as well as a couple of the top local craft brew spots downtown to close out the day. If you are looking to plan anything Beer related in San Diego, and there is obviously plenty to do, definitely hit up Bridgette @ Adventures in San Diego. You won’t be disappointed.

When I called to book a Segway tour, Bridgette’s personality and enthusiasm had me super excited about the adventure days before we got there! You can’t not have fun with her. I’m pretty sure Bridgette loves being a tour guide as much as dolphins love swimming in the ocean.

We are locals but with a visiting out of town grandson, we decided to take a Segway tour of Balboa Park. Luckily, we booked with Bridgette of Adventures in San Diego. Her tours are small and can be customized. She is knowledgeable and friendly. We were first time Segway users and apprehensive. She took all our concerns away with her brief training. By the time we started the tour, we were feeling like Segway pros. She knows the city. She was able to give new information to those of us who thought we knew everything there is to know about Balboa without boring the first time visitor — all of us thought she was talking directly to our needs. All perfect.

I took a city tour in the Eurovan and my husband did the Segway tour. Both were amazing! The tour was so informative and lots of fun at the same time. Our city tour was customized to exactly what we wanted and we went to downtown, Balboa Park, Point Loma (incl Cabrillo Monument) and Coronado Island. Bridgette was so easy to work with and made adjustments as we went as we changed our minds. I learned a ton and enjoyed the relaxed environment, along with water and snacks. We installed a car seat and my 3 year old was able to come along for the ride (game changer!)
My husband’s Segway tour was downtown and Balboa Park. He thought it was the best way to see the city. That’s the tour I want to do next!

Bridgette was a great guide. She was knowledgeable about everywhere she took us. Saw lots of great sights from mountains to the ocean to lots of horticulture and beautiful homes. The van was spotless and she even had music we liked. We spent several hours on our tour and loved every minute. We would do it again for sure. Thanks Bridgette.

Bridgette is such an awesome and hot I mean friendly person. She know her way around San Diego. Them segways are cool and fun to ride ! She knows all the good places to drink and hang out!!!

I have now done a few tours with Bridgette — Segway and brewery tours. Her VW Eurovan is exactly what I wanted to tour around in. The seating is perfect for small groups with what I learned are called suicide seats that let the entire group face one another — great for catching up with friends. Bridgette is very aware of San Diego, what’s going on and history. I will be doing another one of her tours.

When my family and friends are in town, I would send them to Adventures in San Diego. Bridgette knows the lay of the land, hands down… Not only that, she’s super patient with people– in case you get a little tipsy on one of her excursions or excited over something and forgot to follow directions. :) That’s one of the marks of a great tour guide! Thank you Bridgette for providing lots of fun experiences for me and my out of town guests.

Awesome Segway Tour!!! I live in SD but took my cousin on a tour when she was visiting. Learned more about San Diego than I have in the 6 years that I’ve lived here. And also had a ton of fun. Bridgette was the best tour guide — really knew her stuff, was funny and entertaining, and let us have some fun on the Segways. Definitely the best way to see San Diego. I’m absolutely going to do it again with visiting out-​of-​towners. Highly recommend it to anyone coming to SD!!! But make sure to wear your sunscreen — we got fried. :)

Bridgett was the ultimate professional. We had an excellent time trying out new breweries and had a great time with our friends. She was extremely flexible and pleasant to deal with. Will definitely try out the Segway next time.

I highly recommend this tour. Bridgette is super fun, down to earth and educated! She took the time up front to educate us make sure we were comfortable on the Segways and then took care in the start of the tour by going slow and on easy not traffic areas to build our confidence. After 5 – 10 mins it felt like second nature! If you have time for a tour while in San Diego — THIS IS THE ONE! Even if you don’t have time, you should make it. Worth every minute!
