Don’t know what the bad reviews are about. I’ve been here since shortly after 12 and am almost done with my manicure and pedicure and I’m very happy with the work I received. Will be coming back. Both ladies took their time!

Rating this place a 1 is being generous. They have horrible customer service. Being told that UV gel is the better solution to uphold your original nails lasting 3 weeks is a joke. Not only did they charge me $ 46 to get the job done, but after only 8 days that the gel began to lift and chip off, I decided to pay them a visit to claim my dissatisfaction and wanting to get it fixed. Manager Kathy tells me that she will not fix it because my nails curved and the gel will only chip off in 2 days! Well where is the person who recommended this being the best solution? Why was this not disclosed when she was working with my nails? To top it off when I told Kathy I wanted it fixed she said that she would have to charge me for the work! WTF? I’m not overpaying for crappy work. She hesitated to provide me the owners phone number saying I can call the number on the card and speak with her. Listen here tard! I’m talking to you now and obviously you’re not fixing my situation why would I want to continue to talk to you. I DO NOT AND WILL NOT EVER recommend this place… in fact i take it back, I recommend you NOT get work done here.

No. No. No. Just no. I wish I did research before going here. When we walked in it was very nice and spacious, they had a lot of employees and a lot of open seating. Prices didn’t see too bad and it looked nice. Boy was I wrong. Yvonne the lady who did my nails was nice at the beginning. Up until I asked her to add more polish to 8 of my 10 nails because they were not fully painted. She did a half ass job painting. Once I asked her, nicely to fix it, her entire mood towards me changed. I brought my mother in law and sister in laws here for a girls day and will never consider coming back. My mother in laws lady was rude as well and she only got a fill.
They are rude, they rush and their work is sloppy. I highly recommend going somewhere else.

Believe all of the bad reviews. Seriously, this place has to still be open because it is near a Target and we have a lot of tourists in SD.
Over priced rushed work.
The woman who did my nails was nice enough, but she had me pay before she did my nails. Then she wanted me to total out before she even did my nails. I just signed since I wanted to see how my nails came out before I added tip. Once she saw I hadn’t added a tip, she sped up her work. She didn’t paint the top coat to the edge of the polish so I know it will chip soon… she didn’t even file my nails evenly– very unprofessional. For $ 15 for a regular manicure, this was just a waste of money. She didn’t do anything I couldn’t do at home.
I gave an obligatory tip at the end and just knew I wouldn’t make the mistake of coming here again. I had been here before for a pedicure and that was also a terrible experience.

Horrible eyebrows!!! She completely butchered them. They’re uneven, untrimmed, worst eyebrow wax I’ve ever had. So disappointed. Steer clear!

My friend got me a gift certificate here bc I am always in target. The gift card was for a manicure and pedicure $ 37. I decided to upgrade to a gel manicure thinking the difference will only be $ 10 or $ 15 to upgrade from a regular manicure to a gel manicure… NOPE. When I went to pay they told me I owed $ 62 for a regular pedicure and gel manicure. What a scam. I will never go back here again.

Convenient stop while having my car serviced at Marvin k. Brown Mission Valley. Delightful Jenny «Tracy» Pham Trac gave me the mani/​pedi treatment I needed! A clean up & polish, not looking for a hi-​end salon while my car was worked on. Glad I dropped in.

I’ve been coming here since I moved to California in 2002. I left, came back and now have moved back to the area. It’s good to return and see familiar faces.
It’s a nice place, same prices as every other nail salon and you can always find a nail girl that you like. Walk ins are accepted and it’s never really full except on weekends. Enjoy

My boyfriend and I went for pedicures and we both left dissatisfied.
The lady doing my boyfriends pedicure was extremely rude to him and didn’t even scrub the bottom of his feet which was the whole reason he decided to get a pedicure with me.
The pedicure/​massage part of mine was great. When she got to painting my nails is when it started going downhill for me. The color is smudged and clumpy and it looks like I bumped it on something, but that’s just how it looked after she finished painting. I was going to say something to the girl that did my nails, but when I looked for her she was no where in sight.
This place is definitely not worth the $ 54 we spent.

Don’t come here. Got a pedicure and the girl was distracted by the movie on TV. Barely massaged my leg, literally rubbed cream on up and down. Was horrible. It hurt when she trimmed the cuticle. I thought my toes were bleeding. It was $ 25 and it was not worth that.
Never coming here again.
Also, I noticed they didn’t even clean the foot bowl after me. They just put the next customer in it. Gross.

Boo! I came in for a gel mani. I got a dark scarlet and asked her to paint two very thin parallel lines in silver on both ring fingers. I had a picture of nails (in blue) to show the simple design. She said it looked so easy, yet she painted them crazy. Fat line then skinny line, crooked. Overall, I will survive because the overall gel mani is ok. But the kicker was she charged me 47! This is a run of the mill nail place, no way does that make sense. I also had my boyfriend’s 9 year old with me. They painted her fingers and toes in like 5 seconds and charged 16 bucks. Just for painting. No massage, no water, no cuticle, no file, no nothing. It was painted so sloppy I had to bring her back and ask her to clean them up. This place is wack and they charge a ton. Almost every other nail place in the mission valley area is better. Do yourself a favor and pass on Amerinails

Came for pedicure, location was convenient… BUT
They do a rushed job with very sloppy work. The lady set her timer to 25 minutes. She charged 25.00 for a pedicure and it was crap! Barely trimmed any of my cuticles, paint job was messy. I have gotten pedicures religiously for 20 years and I know what a quality pedicure is. This pedicure wasnt worth 15.00 let alone 25.00. Then my 7 year old daughter was charged 25.00 too for her tiny feet and hers was done in les than 20 minutes… her nails werent trimmed straight or filed smooth either… DONT GO HERE!!!

I don’t recommend that place at all !!!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I went in yesterday for acrylic removal and I got seated with Loan. I told her what I wanted (acrylic removal with manicure clear polish) I sat down and she started to remove with clippers and a nail and started digging under the acrylic and my nail, which hurt really bad. I told her and she tried clipping some and still continued to dif asking «it hurt» I’m like ya it hurts! I asked if there was a better way to do it likd sosking in acetone and use the little drill thing. She did use the hand drill and even then my fingers were on fire! After removing the acrylic she went to get nail tips and glue to put a full set. I had to tell her again I didn’t want a full set only a manicure with clear polish. She started talking in a different language under her breath. Got up and got warm water and soaked my hurting fingers. She did the manicure and with no care she polished my nails very sloppy. After drying she said it was $ 20. I was like holy crap if I wanted to to get hurt I would of done it myself. By that point I wanted out. I gave her a 20 and walked out and I’m sure she said something as I was leaving.
So now I have crap nails that actually still have some acrylic and my nails are so short they hurt. I am so mad and I will never go back there. What a waste! Don’t go ladies or if you do be careful who you get!

The ladies here are amazing. I always get fantastic service whenever I come in whether it’s super busy or just a few customers in the salon. They offer you full service but don’t treat you different if you just want a quick polish. There are lots of different colors and options to choose from and the equipment is clean and tidy. I’ll definitely bring my friends and family, even dad!

If you respect yourself do not give this place your business. I hate to give anyone a bad review but this is the worst experience I have ever had. I’ve been going to this place off and on for a few years. I used to come more often because they were open late and it was on my way home from work. I stopped going because my finger got infected. I did not blame them because lots of things can happen when you have fake nails you’re obviously taking some risks as with as with anything like that. So about a month ago my usual place was closed and I needed to have my nails done since I was missing 3 of them from earlier in the day (long story) so not wanting to feel like a crackhead with no teeth I made my boyfriend go with me Amerinails in Mission Valley. A good amount of the nail techs remembered me from before and the experience was pretty good nothing special but it did the trick. The manicurist who worked on me did both my manicure and my pedicure so I tipped her $ 40 and she seemed surprised and told me she had never received a tip that high before. My boyfriend came home from visiting his family for Christmas and saw that I had broke a nail while I was making Carbon Fiber and wanting to be nice he offered to take my friend and I to go get a mani and pedi. We arrived at 815 and they grudgingly took us and the tech who worked on me told me it was either a pedicure or my one nail fixed without a fill or a color match but it was late so I understood and opted for the pedicure. The tech spent a good amount of the time cleaning up the blood from cutting my toe and I was not even mad I understand accidents happen. The problem was a lot bigger than the cut… My friend is fluent in Vietnamese and her tech was complaining how slow they were all day and how annoyed she was stuck doing her «regular» pedicure, my friend is a really nice person so she decided to get the deluxe pedicure, the whole time we were there they were talking trash not knowing my friend could understand them, the workers started talking amongst themselves about how we were good tippers and to just «suck it up», the workers insulted the other customers there all the way to the receptionist who had just left, the tech working on me had the audacity to say I was trying to get a free design when I asked if the blood/​cut would show (I don’t need to haggle $ 5 if I want something I can pay for it) but the final straw was when the girl who worked on me last time said to her co-​workers «How does she get actually get such a cute boyfriend?» my friend didn’t want to tell me what she said but I threatened to make a scene so she told me and I immediately told the girl working on me to stop and not touch me anymore. I will never forget the looks on the employees faces when I threw my friend under the bus for being fluent in Vietnamese (Sorry Winnie! haha) and although they were all quick to apologize the fact that they feel it’s okay to treat people who are paying for their services is unacceptable to me. I didnt know I was supposed to dress up for the nail salon and I refuse to apologize for me having spent the previous 3 days working 18 hours a day on Carbon Fiber. I doubt the girl who made the comment will even read this but I will go ahead and answer her question: The reason I can get a cute boyfriend is because I have integrity, I treat others with respect, I work hard, I am not catty, and I stand with my fellow females not against them.
Do not waste your money at this place! You will be disrespected and anytime I have had my nails done I would say it was mediocre at best.
Seriously it was just like the episode of Seinfeld with the nail salon.

I’m not sure what all the bad reviews are about, this is a pretty standard nail salon in my opinion. Nice clean atmosphere, prices are a bit higher than I’d like, $ 37 for gel mani, but they’re one of few places around that are open past 7 pm. I had «Kelly», who is Vietnamese and spoke almost no English so chatting is out. But she was careful and detailed in her work, and seemed very sweet.

I have gone to many a nail salon in my life and this one is in my top 5. I have yet to have a bad experience here and I hope it doesn’t happen considering all the views I have seen.
I never request a manicurist because I like getting to know all of them before I see a regular one. So far each one I have seen has been great and met my needs.
I am also making it a point to try every pedicure option and each one is different and fantastic.
I very much am hoping all my experiences here continues to be amazing :)

I went in last night for a quick manicure with my friend. The ladies were nice and professional and didn’t mind how chatty we were. My manicurist was sure to ask me what shape I liked my nails and did a good job on my cuticles — fast, but gentle. My friend got French tipped nails and was very specific with the thickness of the white tips. Her manicurist was very attentive and made sure she approved of the tips before moving on. I got a regular polish and a nice hand massage. Love the color and quality of the nail polish! It even lasted through dishes that same night. I will be coming back for a pedicure in the same color :)

If I could add 0 stars I would. Terrible massage. Terrible design that I payed 6 extra dollars for… I get my nails done at Polish normally… do not come here. Rush you out of the chair after a mediocre pedicure. This place is crappy!
