History

Established in 2005.

Amoreena’s photography was officially started 4 years ago, however, Amoreena has been freelancing for over 10 years in a variety of areas of photography. Currently Amoreena is focusing her photography on weddings, events, portraits/​headshots, and child photography.

She gained a lot of her skills through professional modeling in her 20’s while working with top photographers. This has given her the ability to understand the importance of lighting, positioning people, and using photo shop techniques to bring out the best in people.

In the last few years Amoreena has been recognized as one of the «best photographers in Half Moon Bay» and many times on the Wedding Channel as a featured photographer!

Amoreena was born and raised in the Bay Area and now resides in San Diego. Amoreena found her passion for photography fifteen years ago, when she got her very first camera in high school. Taking photographs of her friends using black and white film is where it all began.

Photography isn’t about «making art» for Amoreena, it’s simply about capturing experiences and re-​presenting the natural beauty that she sees and feels in each subject that she photographs.

Working with Amoreena, you will notice the big grin on her face as she clicks away. Amoreena’s warm nature allows people to overcome their shyness, become comfortable at expressing themselves, and to have fun being photographed. Rather than planning the process, she’s quick to observe the strengths in her subject’s features and focuses on capturing them in the best light.

All of Amoreena’s current work is done in digital format, and Amoreena has a great understanding of digital imaging and enhancements.
