Ancient Way Healing Center promotes mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health and well-​being. Set as a movement and wellness center, we offer a variety of services.

We specialize in Traditional Thai Massage and Traditional Chinese Medicine; to include services such as Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Cupping, Gua Sha, and Castor Oi Packs.

In addition, we hold weekly movement classes, monthly workshops and events as available. Please check regularly for the current schedule.

We look forward to offering our clients on ongoing array of healing movements and healing practices.

History

Established in 2012.

Ancient Way Healing Center was established by the owner, Maria-​Cristina Ramos, to bridge all that she is passionate about — Traditional Thai Massage, Traditional Chinese Medicine, dance and movement, and the healing arts. With a deeper meaning, these passions translate into compassion for sustaining health and for bringing healing to others and to the self.

Business Owner

Maria-​Cristina is a Licensed Acupuncturist and holds a Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM), where she also received her certifications as Massage Technician in 2006 and Massage Therapist in 2010, specializing in Traditional Thai Massage. Maria-Cristina’s passion for dance since childhood led her to earn a degree of Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences — Dance, at San Diego State University in 2005.

Wow! Acupuncturist-​Herbalist-​Massage Therapist Maria Cristina is amazing! She has the hands of an angel. After just a few minutes of her exhilarating Thai treatment, I felt like a new man – like a million dollars – as if I was just going to melt away. By the end, I had firmly decided: this is something I am going to do for myself at least once monthly. She gave me several business cards, which I will pass on to work colleagues. (all of us, working in the Security and Law Enforcement fields, definitely need the said periodic tune up.)
Ultra professional, reliable, safe medical treatment for a host of maladies. Recently, Maria passed her licensing exams, so not only is she an even more stellar Thai practitioner, but she can practice acupuncture, herbal medicine, Gua Sha, Moxabustion, and nutritional counseling. Talk about a one-​stop alternative health clinic to help you and your family to get on track. Thanks Maria. I’m already looking forward to the next treatment.

I have received quite a bit of massages in my life time. I guess you could almost consider me an expert, (almost). Maria Cristina has the healing touch. She is NOT the typical therapist that asks you to lay down and get it over with.
She will sit down with you and talk to you about what is going on. She makes sure to focus on any problem areas. Personally, I have only ever received a thai massage from her. (Although, she offers a wide range of massages.)
I had been curious to try out the thai massage. Once I did it, I enjoyed it so much I just stuck to it. I have major upper back problems. I have chronic pain and stress from my neck down to my upper back. Cristina has used the gua sha with me, which did wonders. Not only did she scrape years of stress off, it also healed a cold that was on it’s way to make my life yet more stressful. I didn’t know, but apparently the gua sha speeds up the process of any illnesses. How it works? I have no idea, it is a mystery to me. All I know is that I can testify to the benefits.
Anytime anyone needs a massage, I recommend Cristina. Soon she will also be licensed to give acupuncture.
See, there is one thing many people need to understand. Just because one can give massages, doesn’t mean they will soothe you. There is an art to it. And the therapist also needs to have a healing touch. Thats Cristina.
