Anmar A Mansour, MD

Dr. Mansour delivered my baby and I couldn’t be happier with the whole experience! Nothing went according to my «plan» but Dr. Mansour made sure the baby and I were safe and healthy.
I recommend her to everyone!

I initially went Dr Mansour because my doctor had referred me to an OBG/​Gyn practice that had multiple doctors and you would see all the doctors and I felt like I wouldn’t get a personal experience and they wouldn’t be familiar with my pregnancy if I was bounced around. So for the first 2 doctor visits Dr. Mansour was nice and pleasant and I felt like she did a good job. She was rather quick with each visit but I thought it was to be expected since I was early in my pregnancy. I ended up having heavy bleeding and had to go to the ER because I thought I was miscarrying, and after hours I was sent home and told to follow up with my OBG. I made an appointment with Dr. Mansour the following day on Monday. I was about 16 weeks at this point. Dr. Mansour came into the room and was in such a rush, she did what she did in the other visits and she was about to leave out the room and I asked her were we going to speak about my ER visit and she said, you went to the ER and I said yes. So she picks up my chart and sees all the info and then asks me what happened and she just listened to the baby’s heartbeat at that point. I continue bleeding everyday for a few weeks and Dr. Mansour was saying it was normal and sometimes you have heavy bleeding and there is no reason they can find behind it. So I went ahead and switched my Obg/​Gyn because I felt like she wasn’t taking my situation seriously and that she was just stretched to thin or something considering she is the only doctor. My new obg did an internal ultrasound and saw that i had complete previa and a hematoma. I have been pregnant before and I know all pregnancies are different but I knew that I shouldn’t be bleeding for a month straight like I am on my menstrual during my pregnancy. Had Dr. Mansour took the time to do an ultrasound herself or just did a little extra for me and my baby I might have stayed with her, but I was scared that I was going to loose my baby because of the amount of blood I was loosing every day and I knew that what was happening to me wasn’t normal. Also, a couple of girls on her staff leave a lot to be desired in terms of good customer service. I would give them negative 5 stars. Pregnancy can be stressful I get it, but you don’t want to have more stress dealing with admin people and interns with bad attitudes. I do think Dr. Mansour would work for anyone that is not having issues and maybe she is great with other people that are having high risk issues but that wasn’t the case for me. It turns out I should have been also referred to a perinatal doctor from the beginning of my pregnancy because I was considered to be advanced maternal age and I had 2 veins on my umbilical cord instead of 3 and I wasn’t referred to a perinatal doctor until I switched to the new obg. I believe switching to a new doctor saved my baby’s life. A lot of things were missed by Dr. Mansour. I would say trust your gut and if you feel like you are not getting the best care, then you probably are not

She is very sweet and patient. I am glad she is my Dr. I am 12 weeks pregnant and many complications because of my diabetes and she has been great. No too many caring and involved knowledgeable Dr’s out there.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Mansour for almost 8 months now. I’ve been pleased with the care she has provided me. During my visits I never waited long in the lobby nor in the exam room. She is literally a quick and efficient Doctor. I appreciate how thorough she is and how efficient her staff are. They don’t smile much but are good at what they do.
My only concern which I feel is very crucial to this practice and makes me question should I go back to see her is that I’ve notice after my visit on the exam table there was blood on it. Dried blood. It’s obvious that it has been there for a few days. Another time the doctor took me in to an exam room to discuss results quickly and the exam room was just used and not cleaned. Pap smear equipment everywhere.
I just hope the assistants are anal with cleaning the speculums correctly in the autoclave, sterilization device.
Some advice to staff and Doctor… Please make sure exam room is being wiped each patient visit, show patient you care about preventing the spread of disease and either wash or use hand sanitizers OFTEN IN FRONT of PATIENT. Do NOT put a patient in a dirty room even if it’s for 30 seconds.

Dr Mansour is amazing! As others have said, she runs her own practice so she is a busy woman. She always has time for your questions, so ask away! I had a pretty intense labor experience, and I truly believe of it were any other Doctor it would of been a lot worse. Love this doctor and I really do recommend her!

Just updating a review a years later. I’m still second-​baby free, so big happy points on that one thanks to the tubal ligation that she trusted my decision on and didn’t question me on: D I also have seen her for my pap-​smear and she’s still just as awesome of a doctor when you’re not pregnant or looking to get pregnant.
I just wish she could be my doctor for everything.

She delivered my baby yesterday and first thing I told my fiancé was I need your help account to give her 5 stars. Absolutely amazing lady! Was unsure at first but realized she is super busy, straight forward, kind hearted, very professional and seriously amazing doctor at delivering. Was my third kid and she made this last the best experience for me! I will recommend her to everyone and will continue her as my OB as long as I live in San Diego. Every review is true and those who are negative you simply didn’t give her a chance. Don’t let first impression fool you she has lots of demands and people to meet, why, because she ROCKS! Everyone was highly impressed with her in delivery room from my family! Thank you for bringing my baby boy in beautifully! Your amazing!

Dr. Mansour is an amazing Dr. Her bedside manner and caring heart saved my daughter! I LOVE HER TO DEATH and hope before my husband and I are stationed some other place we can have our second baby with dr Mansour! U will not be disappointed she’s the best :))))

Dr. Mansour is a gift! She is a caring, kind woman, and personally delivered my baby last year. She has a great bedside manner — if she seems a little short, that’s because she is busy! She is brief, but takes time to answer questions. I just love her!

Although pleasant, Dr. Mansour was the (typical) type of Western educated doctor that sees in black and white, is overly confident in their knowledge, and is unnecessarily alarmist. The body is far too complex — and there are far too many exceptions to the «rule» — for one human, no matter how educated) to have all the answers. Any doctor that wants to perform biopsies simply because your body does not fall within the established ranges, but is not sick, is worrisome. And, just try getting a copy of your own lab results. Still waiting after more than a month.

I have to leave a brilliant review for Anmar, I just left my 39 week appt and am so glad she is our Doctor!
We had to change after my company insurance switched plans when I was 6 months pregnant so I was a little nervous but Anmar has made us feel so comfortable since our first appt.
Great bedside manner, very friendly and down to earth– she is clearly busy– but that’s the business of babies! She will give you as much time as you need so if you don’t ask her questions you have, don’t expect her to be a mind reader!
I was really emotional and overwhelmed being so pregnant and scared today and Anmar talked everything through with me and gave me a big hug at the end. We can’t wait for her to deliver our baby, I would certainly recommend Anmar!

I’m with Dr. Mansour many years. She is great. She gave me a good advice not to follow through with the surgery and other aggressive procedures that I thought I need.

What a fantastic office. Excellent front desk staff and the doctor is lovely. Answered all of our questions and concerns thoroughly. We highly recommend this office to pop one out.

Dr. Mansour has been amazing. I sought her out after I saw a lot of good reviews on Unilocal.So far I am half way through my first pregnancy and am very happy with the care I have received. She is a very busy woman but takes time to answer your concerns and is very empathetic. I like that since it is her own practice I see her every single visit. I don’t usually have to wait to long before my appointment and the staff is nice. Also it’s close to my house which is a plus. All in all I am super happy to have her as my Dr.

Dr. Mansour truly is a caring Obgyn who has your best interest in mind. I transferred to her office in my second trimester with no problems as I felt my concerns weren’t being heard at the office I was previously being seen at. If you have questions about your pregnancy don’t be afraid to ask, just come prepared with what you want to ask, as Dr. Mansour is very busy and is a kind but to the point woman. Although I had planned to have a natural birth my baby grew quite large before my 40 week mark. Dr Mansour shared her concerns to me but ultimately informed me that she would support the decision I made about my birth. I felt safe in her care and respected as her patient. I opted for a C section and I recovered beautifully thanks to her. My baby was delivered safely and I’m so thankful for her advise. The staff at the office are also very nice.

The is my review of Doctor Mansour AFTER the birth of my child. Simply put, she’s wonderful!
Caveat:
*Initially, I was scheduled to go to West Coast OBGYN; however, when booking my appointment, I learned that for pregnant women, one must go to the doctor monthly, then bi-​monthly when one close to the delivery date. I learned that West Coast OBGYN there are 5 different doctors and 5 different nurse practitioners and the patient doesn’t have an option selecting a doctor for their childbirth and ½ of the appointments would be with a nurse practitioner. I don’t have a problem seeing a nurse practitioner or different doctors for myself for annual check-​ups, treating a cold or flu, but for me, it was very important to have the same doctor throughout my pregnancy that would also deliver my baby (barring any emergencies, vacations, etc.). That was important to me.
After the birth, I feel as though Dr. Mansour is a part of my family. I see her at least 1 – 2 times per year, she always asks about my child… I’d invite her to my Bar/​Bat Mitzvah or Quinceanera, she’s that great. Linda S. commented that she is the perfect combination of compassion and intelligence – I have to 100% agree with this sentiment. Dr. Mansour is a class act.
By the way, I posted a review of Dr. Mansour before my child was born sharing my experiences with my monthly appointments, front office staff, etc.
Dr. Mansour totally helped me to have the birth that I wanted. She was so encouraging and AMAZING throughout the process. She really worked with me and my family to make sure that all of my wishes we honored. She was so understanding and patient.
I wanted to have the following for my birth:
1.) A Vaginal birth (versus a C-​section)
2.) A flexible plan with meds (I ended up having an epidural, after 18 hours of labor, I thought it was best for me)
3.) I wanted a very close family member to be the photographer /​videographer to document the birth.
4.) I wanted husband to cut the umbilical cord and announce the sex of the baby
5.) Want to have a champagne toast and cigars (chocolate) to celebrate after delivery
6.) I wanted to have a flexible birth plan
My post-​pregnancy appointments have been great – the office helped me to get a high quality breast pump and Dr. Mansour now does my women yearly check-​ups. She was ALSO AMAZING with helping me take adequate time off of work (using sick days, maternity leave, etc.) to take care of my baby for the first three months of my baby’s life.
I love Dr. Mansour and her office! They are all ANGELS!

Dr. Mansour reminded me of why people used to become doctors… because they truly care about helping others.
She is the perfect combination of compassion and intelligence.
I wish I had met her when I was pregnant with my kids, yet I am extremely grateful to find her now.
The office is peaceful and clean. The front office staff are incredibly kind and patient.
I look forward to my next visit as she assists me on this next stage of my life :)

Dr. Mansour saw me on time and was straight forward. I liked that the appointments were very easy going. She delivered my baby, not a nurse nor another doctor! And it was easy breezy, better than what I imagined. My recovery was very good too, which means she did a good job after delivering my baby as well.
I really took the time to choose my OBGYN. I did research, searched for reviews, etc. and had a really tough time finding a good doctor that took my insurance, but I did it!
Her office team was polite and helpful too.
I recommend her 100%, and would do so to anyone who asks me.
I almost forgot, she took the time to answer my texts which made me feel more at ease, and if I needed to talk to her, she would call me as soon as she could.

I actually have taken time to write this review about my doctor because my experience has been amazing. Dr. Mansour delivered my baby August 2014. It was my first pregnancy so I was very concerned and nervous on making the right decision of who would deliver my baby. She was with me me from beginning to end. Dr. Mansour is sweet, helpful and very caring. She guided me with her medical expertise but always allowed me to make the decisions that where right for me and my baby. I delivered at Mary Birch Hospital at 11:16 PM. I have kept Dr. Mansour as my OB/​GYN and can’t wait to have her deliver our second baby in the future.
