History

Established in 2008.

We both have a passion for romance. We have been shooting wedding’s professionally for 8 years and love getting to know other couples and really capturing the romance in each individual couples relationship. Weddings are such an intimate day in the life of the couple that capturing each moment with a picture for them to re-​live later is priceless.

Beyond weddings, we also love to capture true, fun family portraits! We love to do it in a place that is special to your family and just have fun!

Travis and Ann are as professional as it gets. They coordinated all the shots between our (awful lol) DJ and parents, and everything was smooth and captured better than I could imagine. They were low-​key and not in everyone’s face, but somehow they were able to capture moments, not pictures, that we will treasure forever. We cant thank you enough.

Ann and Travis are the most wonderful photographers. We did a christmas card shoot with them in 2013 and they did our wedding in 2014 — both were wonderful experiences. They are fun, relaxed, creative and the finished product is amazing. They are also so quick! Both times we got our edited pictures almost right away. Can’t wait to work with them again!

Aloha! I would definitely recommend Ann Sumi Photography to my ohana & hoalohas (family & friends). We meet Ann & Travis through mutual friends during a Relay for Life fundraiser (s). My daughters used them several times and we did family pictures. They made it so much fun & sure captured the moments. Loved all our pictures taken by them. I can’t wait to do another photo shot. Where to even start; I found Ann Sumi Photography in 2009 when I was planning my wedding and desperately was looking on Craigslist for affordable photography. I met with a few photographers and wasn’t impressed but when we met Ann and Travis we immediately hit it off. Their portfolio sold us. Since hiring them to do our engagement photos and wedding we’ve been blessed to have them shoot maternity photos, and our sons 6 month photos and now we do annual family photos. My home is filled with their work capturing milestones in my life and I feel so lucky to have stumbled upon them on Craigslist!

Another amazing photo shoot with Ann Sumi Photography! We had our daughter’s 4-​year old photos done at Coronado Beach at sunset (photo shown) and Christmas family photos done at Tierrasanta Canyon Park. Every session has been a great experience and we have been so happy with how they can capture these moments in such a beautiful way. We have learned over the years that the connection you have with your photographer is very important to a successful photo shoot, and you will not be disappointed with the talents of Ann Sumi Photography. They care about your photo needs and preferences, and are always very personable and professional. A great experience overall every time!

Ann did an amazing job with our family photo shoot at Hotel Del. It’s not easy to capture and hold the attention of a 3 year old that just wants to run on the beach, but Ann was extremely patient with all of us. We have some fabulous family pictures to treasure forever thanks to Ann.

Ann and her hubby Travis are AMAZING! They have donated their time to help me out a few times, I was an advisor of Best Buddies (which pairs general education students with special needs students) and we throw a Prom every year for all of San Diego High School Chapters and they came out and were our photographers for the evening. I am also a volunteer for American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life and they have helped out by donating their time to having photo shoots to help raise money to help the fight against cancer! They truly are amazing people who care and want the best for their clients. I LOVE LOVE LOVE their pictures and can’t wait for the next photo shoot. I also can’t wait until my cousins get married and they are their photographers! YOU GUYS ROCK!

How could I give Ann and Travis anything less than five stars?! They are professional and extremely kind. They did our engagement and wedding photos and we couldn’t have asked for a better outcome. Absolutely amazing. Ann and Travis are very laid back and we felt very comfortable around them when they took our photos. We scheduled a bit last minute and they were able to get us in and get everything processed for us really fast, so we’d have our pictures when we travel back to see family. I couldn’t recommend them enough! When I was looking for other photographers, no one took the time to make us feel as important as these two did. I really look forward to scheduling another session when my husband comes back from Afghanistan!

My husband and I were married in May of 2009 and we used Ann Sumi photography for our engagement pictures and our wedding. They were amazing! This was our second marriage and we have 2 kids each that were in the wedding. They worked so well with the kids and helped with them when me and my bridesmaids were getting ready. Their communication with us and the other vendors was prompt and extremely helpful.
Our pictures came out so beautiful. They had them back to us quickly.
We have continued to refer them to friends that have used them and we have heard nothing but positive feedback. My husband and I used them every year for our family Christmas pictures and we are never disappointed.
I highly recommend them for any special time in your life. They are the BEST!

When I first got pregnant I knew I wanted maternity pictures and I inquired Ann donate could take my pictures. She had great suggestions as far as location went for a perfect spot!!! We emailed back and forth regarding great ideas for what to do in the picture. When we actually met I mentioned all of my ideas and she did not hesitate to take all my ideas into consideration and she took such care of us that I would definitely contact her again for future pictures.

Ann and Travis are wonderful. I found them through Craigslist because I was new to the San Diego area at the time of planning our wedding and I figured that was one way to start. I fell in love with their photos. Their photos captured moments and emotions, which I wanted for our wedding. When we met with them, I knew right away I wanted to use them for our engagement photos and our wedding photos. I hate when attention is on me, so was very nervous for the engagement session, but they made me feel so comfortable and captured amazing shots. Our wedding photos also captured beautiful moments that I truly treasure. I highly recommend Ann Sumi Photography!

I used Ann and Travis for my wedding in August. They are AMAZING at what they do and so easy to work with. The photos for our wedding were the most important thing to me and I looked at tons of photographers and the second I met with Ann and Travis I knew they were it.
Once we got our pictures back my husband and I were so impressed. There were pictures that we didn’t even realize were being taken. So many creative shots and wonderful memories were captured.
I HIGHLY recommend Ann Sumi Photography. We will be using them again in the future
