Owners and their dogs learn the five basic obedience skills: Come, Sit, Down, Stay and Leash Walking, plus Leave It and Drop. The goal is for you to have a well-behaved family pet.
Training is positive and is leadership based so the dog will respond to their owner without having to use treats.
Behavioral problems are my areas of expertise. Issues such as potty training, barking, jumping, separation anxiety, shyness, digging, chewing, bully behavior, aggression, no bolting, socialization, and managing your pack (more than one dog).
Trainer Jan Janecki is a 2004 Graduate of the Bark Busters Behavioral Certification program in Denver, Colorado – an intense training in canine communication, behavioral modification and obedience training. She received her Master Dog Training Certification in 2007.
Bark Busters Home Dog Training was voted Best Dog Training Company by the International Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Covering North San Diego and North County.
History
Established in 1989.
The mission of Bark Busters Home Dog Training is «to save dogs’ lives by providing education and mentorship to dog owners.»
Developed in Australia, our dog-friendly training techniques leverage the same communication methods — body language and voice control — that dogs follow as part of their instinctual pack mentality. All training takes place in the home. Our all-natural methods are effective with any dog, any age — including puppies.
Meet the Business Owner
Jan J.
Business Owner
I am a problem-solver– whether it’s training puppies, teaching owners how to manage their dogs on walks, how to manage more than one dog in a household, or even how to walk a dog or two with a baby stroller… my goal is to teach my customers how to train their dogs so they are well-behaved.
Don’t wait until your dog is totally out of control. The sooner you start training, the easier the training will be and the greater the results. Any dog of any breed, sex and age can be trained.
It’s rewarding to see these dogs become responsive to their owners — sometimes for the first time. I’m familiar with many styles of dog training, but the Bark Busters methods are definitely the most effective in showing the dog who’s in charge and in making behavioral changes.
I cover North San Diego and suburban North San Diego County.
My dogs and I have enjoyed agility, flyball and sheep herding over the years. Can’t imagine life without dogs!
