Hands down, best DJ, at any wedding I have ever been to. Bruce really loves what he does and you can tell. I had multiple people complimenting us on the DJ after the wedding. He is very flexible, responsive, and professional. His pricing was very fair for us (off season). In addition, he has all sorts of great lighting equipment.
There was no hassle with setting up the audio, there was no feedback or audio problems, everything was played on time, high quality, with absolutely no issues.
He got the music mix 100% exactly right even with out eclectic taste (80’s, rock, some new pop and a some foreign music for the family members). The dance floor was going off the entire time! He had great suggestions and everything was very easy. He is very responsive; we had a mini issue the day before with song selection and Bruce solved it no problem.
I wouldn’t have any doubt with him and highly recommend him. If you have any doubts just meet him… they’ll be gone.

Bruce was the DJ at my wedding in November 2014 at the Omni downtown. We hired him because we went to a wedding he was playing at and were very impressed with his work.
Bruce consulted with us before and provided us with all the information we needed to have a rocking party at our wedding. He has all the lights, and equipment needed to create a great experience! Bruce is a master at playing our top songs as well as getting people on the dance floor. I first met Bruce as a bridesmaid at my sister’s wedding a few years ago and when it came time to plan my own wedding I didn’t consider anyone else as our DJ except him. We really appreciated Bruce’s passion, excitement, and enthusiasm throughout the entire process which he made simple and fun for us. The online website he used was great so we easily completed the questionnaires and requested playlist. During our video chat a few weeks out from the wedding he walked us through on what to expect… really never once were we ever worried.
The custom uplighting was absolutely beautiful and we felt it brought our venue and décor to a whole new level. We absolutely agree with all of the 5 star reviews here and I know you will too!

Bruce is the man! Battleson Entertainment was provided to us on a list of vendors at our wedding venue. After visiting his website, we were definitely impressed. Bruce really makes an effort to stay on top of all the latest in the industry. His lighting, panels, and scheduling are a good example of that. We were really drawn to «frontloading» our wedding. We got all of the wedding activities out of the way and then started continuous dancing until the end of the night.
We fell in love with Bruce’s laid back attitude and good nature. He was really fun to work with. At no point were we stressed out with Bruce. We had some pretty unconventional ideas that he worked with. He is so organized and really makes an effort to get to know you. We filled out a lot of forms with information about us and what we wanted and didn’t want played at our wedding. He had a website where we could input songs and a website for our guests to enter songs.
On the day of the wedding, we were so excited when we heard an instrumental version of the Halloween movie theme playing. Bruce understood us 100%. During the ceremony, Bruce was a calming presence off to the side. He nailed every moment at the perfect time. We were also super excited to see that Bruce dressed up since it was a Halloween wedding. During dinner, he played awesome songs that got the guests singing along. He was a great MC and got the crowd excited. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ. One of our guests even asked for the playlist because she said it was «the perfect Halloween playlist!» We can’t stress the importance of a good DJ for your wedding!

Bruce is a wonderful DJ! We were impressed with him from the very first email he sent to us. The series of questionnaires and advice he gave us showed how eager he was to learn everything he could about us, and help us make an informed decision. He was also very flexible about setting up video chats and discussing ideas for our wedding day.
What I especially loved about him was how on-​point he was during the big day. We sent him a series of song lists we wanted to play during different parts of our wedding. One song was a ballad my younger brother recorded, and the minute I heard the first notes play during cocktail hour, my smile was that much wider for the rest of the night. As much of a blur as the day was, he seemed to work well with with our venue coordinators and help move the wedding along without any hiccups.
Our only regret was that we didn’t get to talk with him more on our wedding day and thank him enough for making it wonderful. Thank you so much, Bruce!!!

Bruce was the DJ for our wedding 2 weeks ago, and he was fantastic! He has a great, easy going personality, and really gets to know what kind of music you are looking for. He even made a special trip to our wedding resort to see where the location was, where he would be setting up, etc before our wedding! He sat down with us, got to know us and what we were looking for, and that made our night that much better. The music he played was exactly what our families were into, and everyone danced all night long! I highly recommend bruce for future weddings, parties, celebrations, and will be sure to recommend him to anyone who is in the southern cal area.

Kyler was our DJ and did an amazing job with helping me with the timeline of events, suggesting lighting and other ambience enhancing aspects that I would’ve otherwise overlooked. Kyler was great with adjusting to issues we had, like the limo arriving half an hour late, an impromptu mother son dance, and speeches that ran on passed our allotted time. He remained positive, upbeat and looked very well put together and handsome. I would highly recommend Kyler and Battleson Entertainment!

Excellent! Bruce was our DJ for our wedding this past weekend and he did an amazing job. From his online music selection, to helping us pick all of the ceremony songs, Bruce is a true professional. Our wedding was yesterday at Strawberry Farms in Irvine. We were a bit last minute to think about a DJ and had a tight budget for our wedding. We were lucky Bruce was able to come to our wedding and met with him a few weeks in advance to go over our plans. He is very friendly and open to ideas. We have no experience with parties, weddings etc. He offered great examples and helped us pick songs. We got so caught up in other things we weren’t able to really get him a list of songs, but he knew what we liked and planned on it.
He did our outdoor ceremony and was told last minute we were doing a sand ceremony and needed a good song for that and managed it perfectly. We also decided last minute to do a grand entrance and our coordinator told Bruce and he quickly got a good song lined up and announced us as we came in.
EVERY single guest raved about Bruce, his personality and songs were great. We had people from 13months old to 95 years old at our wedding and everyone enjoyed the music and his MC skills. He was moderately priced for DJ service, but provided us with a phenomenal experience. He came early to setup, his DJ station looked elegant and you didn’t see chords everywhere or a mess. He was very accommodating, lively, and just easy to work with. It really was our glue for the wedding. We didn’t plan on any dancing, even though we did have people get out on the floor to do a little.
We were very grateful to have Bruce be our DJ and were amazed how our ceremony and reception went! THANK YOU BRUCE!!!

Bruce just DJ’ed for our October 11^th, wedding, and he KILLED it with the music! My fiancé and I have pretty particular music tastes (big indie rock music fans), and we wanted to make sure that the wedding music reflected us and a laid back affair. At the same time, when the open dancing began, Bruce knew exactly how to create an amazing energy, while still catering flawlessly to our musical tastes.
Leading up to the event was also an extremely positive experience. Bruce is undoubtedly a kind and responsive professional. I would recommend him to anyone, no matter what your musical tastes are, because he can do it all.

Bruce was the DJ at my wedding this month, and I was so happy with the whole process. I’m an obsessive planner who loves to think of every detail ahead of time whenever possible, and I knew Bruce was going to be the right fit as soon as we had our first consultation. Now, by no means do I mean to imply that Bruce is rigid or aggressive — rather, he rolls with the punches and really is attentive to every detail of his client’s needs.
During our first meeting, when I asked what makes him such a successful DJ, he said that he knows how to create great sets of music that make sense and can read crowds well. When I asked other DJs the same question, they just said «I have lots of experience», which didn’t make me feel as comfortable as what Bruce said. Next, when I expressed my concerns about having some shy family and wanting to make sure they have a good time, he gave us some great ideas for games and ways to break the ice — we did end up using a couple of these strategies, and they worked great :)
Following the meeting, he sent us several pages of very detailed questionnaires, which I LOVED — it had questions such as «What have you liked most about great weddings you’ve been to», «What personality would you like your DJ to convey», «What song do you want for the cake cutting», «Who is your favorite artist», «What song do you want for the recessional», etc. I felt like I had the freedom to specify exactly what I wanted, and there were also questions where I felt comfortable saying «I don’t care» and trusting Bruce to choose the right thing. Additionally, he sent us a link to his website where you can search through his MASSIVE database of songs and specify what song he must play, what songs you’d like to hear, and what songs absolutely should not be played. If there’s a song you want that he doesn’t have, just add it as a custom song, and he’ll purchase it (he did this with 2 or 3 songs for my wedding). It was great to have such a high-​tech yet user-​friendly way to specify what I wanted.
On the big day, he was prompt, and his setup was perfect. The audio during the ceremony was excellent — no feedback or other problems that I’ve seen at some weddings. The song timing during the processional was really important to me, and he totally made it work perfectly. He moved to a separate setup during cocktail hour, and yet a third for the reception. He made on-​the-​fly announcements whenever my coordinator needed, and he was clear and friendly. He said just enough to be an MC, but not too much that he attracted excess attention. He truly did have great sets and read the crowd well during the dancing — there was one point where it fell flat, but he immediately recognized it, and the crowd was back on the dance floor in less than a minute.
Bruce was such an important part of my wedding day, and I can’t thank him enough. I definitely recommend him as a professional with tons of experience who is ready to tailor himself to whatever his client needs. And hey, if you are not the type to obsess over every detail like I am, I’m sure he’ll be happy to jive with that too!

I hired Bruce 4 years ago to be my DJ for my wedding reception. He was one of the greatest parts of my wedding. His is friendly, warm, and easy to work with. He is very professional and takes the time to make sure that you are totally happy with the music and song choices. He was the perfect emcee and made sure the reception ran smoothly. He did the walk-​in announcements, got the crowd together for a group picture, and made sure the toasts and dancing occurred on time.
