Mr. Behar helped me with I-​485 Adjustment of Status to obtain a Green Card for my wife and her 2 kids, after we got married in San Diego last year.
I first consulted with several immigration lawyers in August 2014 for getting my then Fiancée from France to San Diego. Looking back I highly recommend getting hands on experienced lawyer like Mr. Behar to guide you through the process and avoiding questionable advice or costly mistakes. His ability to speak French with my Fiancée and English with me was great help. Not only he knew the process inside out here in San Diego, but he also has a great understanding of the K1 Fiancée visa process in French consulate in Paris.
Once we got married, Mr. Behar saved us couples of month and a lot of frustrations during our I-​485 Adjustment of Status, by anticipating and avoiding problems in the first place. He helped with translations, answering questions and dealing with the unexpected problems in a timely matter to keep the process on track. If you want somebody in your corner that really cares about your individual case, Mr. Behar is the right choice. He went beyond what I expected form an immigration lawyer. He is always available and always thinking of a quick resolution to the unexpected. Sometimes you feel you are really not in control of the process, for example when the kids got scheduled for interview before my wife. Mr. Behar took care of the whole situation the day of the interview, along with few other complications, to get approved for the Green Card the same day. Without his quick thinking to get few things in order the same day, we would have to wait additional months to get additional information and to get finally approved.
I highly recommend Mr. Behar to anyone looking for a capable immigration lawyer.

When going into the immigration process it can be extremely daunting. Believe me, when you go and have your consultation with Mr Bahar you will be put immediately at ease. Mr Behar takes your case very personally and only strives for the best outcome.
We were given information on the documents we needed to provide along with timelines and that was all we needed to do, Mr behar and his excellent staff dealt with the rest with an absolute minimum of fuss. We received regular updates and phone calls to inform us of our progress and where we were in the whole process. I would highly recommend you to meet Mr. Giacomo Behar, he was wonderful to work with. I want to start by saying that he is a very thoughtful, experienced and highly knowledgeable lawyer that cares about what your goals are. With over 20 years of experience, he made a very difficult experience seem so easy and taken care of to the smallest details. I also would give a thanks to his whole staffs who were very helpful during the process.
What made my experience with Giacomo unique was his attention to all details. All E-​2 visa cases aren’t easy at all, but Giacomo will follow you very closely in all steps, and will answer your questions very accurately, with very interesting past stories. He even makes the extra step to be very accessible, smile and get to know you all around. His sense of humour, honesty, and hard-​working made everything such a unique experience. During the interview in the U. S Consulate in Paris, Giacomo has prepared such a strong and complete E-​2 visa application, that the Consulate officer could only ask you very few simple questions. Everything was on paper and already reviewed for A+.

My wife and I came to Mr. Behar for an adjustment of status case. We were worried about a few technicalities that could present difficulties with immigration. During our consultation, Mr. Behar thoroughly explained the situation and offered us detailed consultation on the steps we needed to take to ensure a smooth process. We were so impressed that we decided to hire Mr. Behar to handle the case. This is a decision that I will never look back with any doubt.
Mr. Behar proved himself to be highly intelligent and understanding of the emotional strain and anxiety we were going through. He gave us leeway to make choices where he saw fit and unyielding on other positions where he knew we did not have the legal knowledge to make an informed decision. Throughout the process he was patient and provided a voice of reason that was sorely needed. Back in May 2012, being under a O1-​B visa (extraordinary abilities), my wife and I felt the time for us to apply for the permanent residency. Because we all need a lawyer in these matters, we wanted one nearby our home who had a hard office with a secretary, speaking French (our native language) and know by public institutions. We chose Giacomo because he met all our requirements.
With his help, we applied for a self-​petition EB-​1 Green Card (on our own, not through the employment) which is available for aliens with an extraordinary ability. Theses cases are super complex since it’s hard to prove any extraordinary ability, knowing that this can be very subjective!
Our job consisted of collecting all the evidences to meet 5 out of the 10 listed criteria to prove extraordinary ability in my field (metal shaping). We’re talking about awards, prizes with their rules and regulations, photos, magazine articles, translations and tons of other papers with not the least, 15 letters of support!
Giacomo over looked and reviewed every single evidence, document and letter and then put it all together with an impressive attorney letter on top. The case was HUGE!
For my wife and I, it was a tremendous amount of energy, time, work as well as money. And after 1.5 years we received our Green Cards in the mail. The extraordinary ability was proved! So, positive over all for us.

I know Mr. Behar since more than 10 years, he took care of all of my family members immigration status from the beginning to the citizenship ands he recently took care of my husband too.
Every step we took was perfectly explained, from the initial consultation to the preparation of the application, to the interviews. All the process went perfectly well, with no surprise, which is the best that can be expected when you file immigration requests and even when we need it he positively solve the situation. He speaks several languages (italian too!!!)and that was really helpful for us.
