Bite-Away Termite & Pest control

I had an exceptional experience working with Eric and Charles from Biteaway, as well their office team. They turned an inspection around quickly and were able to get my houses tented and ready for sale very quickly without compromising quality and safety. The folks they sent out to actually tent the house were awesome as well. I would whole heartedly recommend Biteaway to any one needing pest control and termite services. Exceptional service and very reasonable pricing. Thank you Biteaway.

We have used this company a couple times and have always been satisfied with their service. However, as of today I have to revise my thinking and highly recommend you stay away.
At our most recent service, we were advised by the company that we had a $ 75 credit on our account. We were told we had overpaid for the previous occurrence. Somewhat annoying, but at least they were making up for it, right? nope.
My husband just got off a terrible call with the owner of the company, Charles, who is now threatening us that we have to pay an additional $ 50. Apparently it was an accounting error and they applied the credit to our account by mistake.
In our opinion Charles should have to write this off as the cost of doing business and train his staff better. If I had been the owner, I wouldn’t have even made the call out of embarrassment of my poor business practices. Instead, he called yelling at my husband and eventually hung up on him with the threat of «you will pay».
Fair warning, they are shady and you risk getting billed after the fact. As far as the threat, not sure what to do about that, but we will be following this review up with a formal complaint on BBB as well.

They came and did the termite fumigation, but the left a big mess. First they damage a part from the roof without telling me then damage my curtain finally they didn’t clean well after finishing (lots of dirt)

Great company, reasonable prices. They knocked our ant problem out immediately. Awesome job!

These guys are great! I have had a terrible ant problem for several summers. I called several places and got a recommendation for Bite Away. I have since set up a contract for monthly spraying of all the homes in my HOA. We haven’t seen an ant in over a year since we started the monthly spraying. They are in and out so fast, and certainly have solved all our ant problems! The office staff is so nice and knowledgeable. They go above and beyond to answer any questions and assist with quotes, etc. Their prices are also very good. Our monthly HOA contract cost is very reasonable considering they are spraying the perimeters of 6 large homes on a monthly basis for under $ 100, and it actually works! I highly recommend them to anyone!

Charles provided a very thorough inspection on our place in OB. He was very flexible with times due to tenants schedules, provided them with all materials and instructions for the renting, he took care of them so I had to do nothing but write a check for the great service. I would recommend your calling them.

This company was assigned by our property manager to perform some roach extermination in our home. We received PART of the preparation instructions (apparently only 1 of the 2 page document was emailed to me), which included only vacuuming after 12 hours as the after care. Okay fine, understand. But what do we do in the mean time? Track it all over our house? Can we put our stuff back down on the floor and unpack? NO CLUE!
We were also informed that our technician (who never told me his name) would explain the service, and what we need to do if we need a re-​treatment service, prevention guidelines, sanitation and their treatment policy. NONE OF THIS HAPPENED! He rushed us out the door, seemed very short to answer questions, and left no further instruction for when we return home. He didn’t even walk through our house to make sure we completed the preparation properly.
When we returned home 5 hours later, there was no further instruction dictating any necessary after care/​clean-​up or that the job had been completed satisfactorily. We had no clue when the technician left, or if there were any difficulties. Also, we found WHITE POWDER sprinkled in various locations including cabinets (which we were instructed NOT to wipe down per the instructions that were emailed to me). What am I supposed to do?! I have an unknown white powder sprinkled randomly throughout my house with no idea what it is and what I’m supposed to do. All I know is I can’t vacuum my carpet for 12 hours. What about my tile floors?
We attempted to call the company but they are closed for the day, and there is no other phone number or information on the website. With an 18-​month old and a dog around the house we are not risking it, and going to a hotel for the night despite being told we only needed to be out of the house for 4 hours (of which we left for 5).
I feel as if this is a horrible show of professionalism, and I would NOT NOT NOT recommend this company to anyone. I’m left with a house that stinks, has unknown white powder sprinkled in cabinets and no further instructions on what I need to do (or even not do) for clean-​up!

I was contacted at 830am on a Saturday morning by the owner regarding my negative review. He listened to my concern and then proceeded to put me down for not contacting the company first (note in original review I attempted to and was unable to contact the company until the following day). When I explained, he continued to barrage me with a condescending tone regarding my review. When I tried to explain my side of the story and uphold why I wrote this review, he refused to listen and eventually hung-​up on me! I absolutely WILL highly recommend AGAINST working with this company! The owner prides himself on his reputation and tries to bully you into changing or deleting any negative review or experience you may have!

Didn’t get the job done. Their 30 day warranty is crap considering I called for them to come back out. They ended up coming out 3 times and it didn’t do any good and then I called again and they said they couldn’t because they sprayed once already. It’s like yes you did but it didn’t do anything so finish the job. No refund. Not much in the customer service department either. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

I had these guys come out to do a termite inspection because the buyer of my home requested them. The guy came out to inspect and said that everything looked good. He said there was one minor issue of dry-​rot on my rear oning witch could be spot treated but other then that there was no major issues and no fumigation would be required. The days that followed I called several times to get my report and they kept saying it wasn’t ready. On the 5^th day of calling they told me that the report was sent to the buyer. What??? Why would they ever do that? They went on to say that they found several damaged areas and it would cost $ 4k in treatments and fumigation. They told me to call the inspector if I wanted to discuss and I did but he never called me back. The seller tried using this as a negotiation tactic but I wasn’t buying it. Coincidentally the so called treatment area was exactly in the same place that the buyer had planned to do an addition. Don’t use this company they clearly are shady.

Such a great experience with Bite Away Pest Control. Receptionist very kind, and helpful. Maurice from the North county office in Escondido was a breath of fresh air! Very knowledgeable, respectful, honest, helpful and very nice descent person. you’re in good hands with these guys. I had been given the runaround by other pest control companies and was so lucky to have found Bite Away.

Can’t beat their honesty, friendliness, and service. Extremely happy with them and would recommend them to anyone!

I love these guys! We were new to the area and the previous owner of our home had used them and suggested them. I called and have for the most part always talk with Sophia. The first time that I called, we had just moved in and spotted a few widows around the perimeter of the house. I was (naturally) freaking out and wanted something done IMMEDIATELY. I called and they were so on top of it! They had someone come out the very next day to spray. We now have the monthly service and they are so flexible about what days and time slots are best for us. Whoever comes to spray is always extremely professional and they also check out rodent traps we have set out (they installed them before we moved in).
I recently spotted a widow before the month was up and called them immediately. They sent someone out to «respray» the area at no charge! They’re so awesome. And they won’t automatically spray your fruit and vegetable garden unless you request it, which is really thoughtful. I rarely give 5 star reviews as I’m a harsh critic, but these guys are awesome.

After a wine night with a friend and mouse/​rat hunting and a new puppy, I decided it was time to call these guys! The person Diaiah (spelling) who answered the call when I reached out to them was so helpful and knowledgeable about rodents running around and what to do to get rid of them. Within 24 hours they sent Mark out who took time to walk around our property and scheduled us the next day to come out to set traps and spray. BYE BYE Mr. Mouse/​Rat and family and hello to not freaking out every time i hear a scurry in the yard. (well i can hope anyway)

Had a funny situation with a raccoon that had made my old AC it’s new home. Mario came out and was phenomenal! Not only was he knowledgeable, he was very informative and treated me like a valued customer. Mario was extremely professional and took the time to inform, teach me about my pest problem and went above and beyond what I expected! He knows his job in and out and represented his company excellent! I will definitely be sure to pass the word along to use Bite-​Away! Job well done! :D

When a swarm of bees showed up in my yard the night before a big pool party, these guys were the only ones to reply to my plea for emergency help that night. The tech showed up bright and early, eliminated the bees quickly, did a great job cleaning up and then only charged me a portion of what they quoted me on the phone.
