Body University

Body University has been an amazing experience from the beginning; I have found a new family that is always there for support and inspiration throughout my fitness journey. I couldn’t have picked a better team to be a part of. Not just because they know what they are doing and have been successful but because they really make you feel they truly care about you. Francine and Jason always willing to go that extra mile for us to succeed and feel a part of the family. Whether your fitness goal is to become a competitor, tone up, lose weight or gain muscles, Francine is the real deal. She is incredibly knowledgeable; she has a wonderful personality, and will push you beyond your mental and physical limits. There’s no question that she knows exactly how to train you to get the most out of your body, mind and soul. If you are thinking about becoming a bikini or a figure competitor Francine will help you become more confident in presenting yourself and your physique at its best, and Jason can teach you exactly how to get your nutrition under control. What I like best is that he seems to really pay attention to the individual’s needs and he tailors his program to what you can do, what you want to do, and how your body works.

I was blessed to have a chance encounter with Francine and Jason at Balboa 24 Hour Fitness some time ago. I can only imagine their thoughts as they saw me fumble around the weight room. The struggle was so real that they introduced themselves. It took me quite some time to get around to enrolling at Body University. Not only was I mentally unprepared at the time, but I was also a bit intimidated after seeing all the beautiful people and bodies they help build. I thought I would be laughed out the door. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
I just started my journey, so I can’t say much about my results just yet; but trust me when I say, these are good, kind, and patient people who are passionate about helping you. I’ve done both personal training and group training with Francine and I felt quite at ease (for me) with my anxiety and all :) Even when training alongside those who are competition ready as a beginner, I don’t feel intimidated or looked down upon. Francine makes the group workouts tolerable for everyone, increasing or decreasing the weights as necessary as all levels move through the circuits. She also gives everyone an adequate amount of attention and correction as necessary. I have also purchased a lifestyle diet program from her husband Jason, which is quite doable. In addition, I am using her online workout programs with videos. So far, so good. I have no question that I will be successful in my goals if I step up and do my part and put the hard work in… Of course, Jason and Francine will give you the tools, but your results also depend on you!

Best trainers in San Diego. Without a doubt. I followed them from another gym to workout with them., I lost my post baby weight (remaining 10lbs) in about 6 weeks of being on their diet plan that’s customized perfectly for you. All their sessions kicks your ass and motivates you to do your best. I can truly say that I got in the best shape of my life after having a baby and it’s all because of BU. They’re plethora of knowledge and personal experience really makes them different from any other gym in SD.
All I have to say is that I’m never concerned about awkward encounters with creepy people when you’re just trying to kill your workout. It’s ALWAYS clean and they know you by name. Big difference. I’ll be a client for life.

I needed to change my life for the better and I also needed to find something I was passionate about and through word of mouth I heard about Body University! I scheduled an appointment with Jason Tweed for a consult about my personal goals. When I met Jason he was super personable and was very motivating when it came to what I wanted to accomplish, I could tell he was passionate about what he does and that he was genuinely interested in my goals! I now do a customize nutrition through Jason and I personally train with his awesome wife Francine! Francine has made me come outside my comfort zone and pushes me through every work out, I can already see results! I will be committed to Body University for a long time because I know for now without them I won’t be able to accomplish my goals:)!

I started with Body University about 4 months ago. I had heard about them through one of my best friends. I had been watching her incredible transformation over a 6 month period! She looked amazing! Seeing her completely transform her body and mindset really put the fire under my then dimply butt! So I finally worked up the courage to call Jason. I started with the lifestyle program it was a three month meal plan and cardio requirement. I have to admit in the beginning It was hard! But being Hott ain’t easy! I stuck with the plan with Jason’s help and lost 13 lbs and felt amazing! Now I love eating clean and he taught me how to make the right food choices.
At the end of my 3 months I was ready to step up my work out routine and start building more muscle, so I purchased a package of group training with Francine and Betsy those girls are fierce! It is so fun to work out in a small group setting with like minded people! Oh and it’s super affordable, I don’t know about you guys but I have bought training sessions before that definitely broke the bank. All in all I couldn’t be happier with the Entire experience I have had with them. I recommend Body University to anyone who is serious about getting there fitness game right! Oh and about that old dimply booty of mine… That is a thing of that past!!! My bod has never looked as good as it does now thanks to all my peeps at Body U!

I’ve only been training about twice a week for four weeks and absolutely love it! I’ve trained with both Betzy and Francine. They’re both gorgeous, knowledgable, and helpful. I’ve learned new workouts, proper form and tips on how to build a booty!
Jason is also very knowledgeable with assisting me with my lifestyle diet as well. He’s currently helping me transition into prep at my own pace. Since I’m currently breastfeeding, he’s altered my diet to better fit my needs.
I love the positivity, hard work, and the genuine people. Their group classes are a definite must! They’re fun and motivating! I highly recommend Body U! Body U will definitely change your life for the better!

The trainers Betzy and Francine are not only BEAUTIFUL, they REALLY know their stuff! I don’t think I’ve ever done the same workout twice! They’re always switching it up so your body gets the most out of your time spent there. Francine & Betzy create the most unique workouts I’ve ever seen that you can’t get anywhere else.
Jason works miracles with his nutrition plans, he knows what my body needs and what my body will respond to before I do. He’s so knowledgeable and is always there to guide you in the right direction with nutrition and cardio.

Body University is such a unique and inviting environment that everyone can feel comfortable training in! The atmosphere of this gym is unlike any other gym you will step into. Good vibes, good music, great equipment and amazing staff. Francine and Betzy are some of the best trainers I’ve ever worked with. They are constantly creating new and unique exercises to use during our group training sessions. They will have your body looking AMAZING and they make every workout really fun! Jason is so brilliant when it comes to nutrition. He incorporates food that you love into your diet so that is very easy to stick by and easy to sustain. I never felt hungry or deprived with the diet Jason provided me with. I would recommend Body University to absolutely anyone I know. These people are truly special and will change your life for the better!

I genuinely love being at Body University. Aside from the great workout space they’ve created, the atmosphere and people are what make this such a great place to be. Jason and Francine are fun, genuine, caring people who want everyone to feel welcome and happy. The trainers and members of the gym are also fun, positive and supportive people.
I recently prepped for my first competition using Jason as my nutrition trainer, and I can’t say enough positive things about my experience! I also trained with Francine and Betzy during my prep, and I’m so grateful to them for helping me reconnect with my glutes!
With or without the competition prep, I will continue to train at Body University. I highly recommend a membership here.

AMAZZZING! I can’t say enough great things about this place. The trainers, the gym, the people you will meet along your journey to fit are incredible. Jason is THE MAN when it comes to nutrition. Hands UP to him! I have gained so much knowledge for life from just working with him for a few months. Betzy and Francine are absolutely wonderful as well as BEAUTIFUL. They make you WANT to workout and are constantly coming up with new exercises to keep things fun and interesting. Overall, it can be very intimidating starting at a new gym with so many stunning in shape people but the staff is soooo warm and welcoming they really make you feel at home. I love this place :)

Jason is a scientist with my nutrition! I cant believe how much his motivation and positivity has helped me look at my food a whole new way. Francine and Betzy are amazing trainers. Not only are they both sweet and super friendly, they deliver the best intense workouts! They both always keep a close eye on your form to make sure you are doing all moves correctly and effectively.

One of the best gym’s and people I have ever experienced. It’s a welcoming environment with individuals who are not only extremely knowledgeable, but some of the most genuine, good-​hearted people I know. They truly have become an extended family to me. You never feel uncomfortable or out of place. Best part is everything is tailored to you; whether you are a lifestyle client or training for a show, your nutrition and training is tailored to you. Body university is not your average gym! This place is home and the vibe always motivates me. I did the strength training class with Steve and he definitely pushed me. He is very knowledgable and thoroughly explained what is most effective with different muscle groups. I definitely enjoyed the high impact, fun energy he brought to the class. If you want to be part of an organization where everyone is positive, fun, friendly, a breath of fresh air, whatever you define as a happy place. BODY UNIVERSITY is the place to be. It’s like an extended family. The staff and coaches are wonderful. I have learned so much about working out and exercise from both Francine and Betzy. They are there not only your trainers/​coaches but they encourage you when you need it the most.
Need help with a proper diet to get to your goals without feeling like your eating the traditional «chicken and broccoli». Jason is a nutritional genius.
All in all there is not enough words to explain how great of an organization this is. Come by and I promise you won’t be disappointed.

I love this place… I love the people… I love the training and new workouts. This place is awesome! I love Ms. Francine and Ms. Betzy… they’re two sexy ladies that know what’s best and who really know how to train, I mean train hard they’ve taught me so much. Especially Jason, he knows nutrition and he has also taught me things I didn’t know about. The entire staff at BU are awesome and I highly, highly recommend this place!

Body University is SO MUCH MORE than your run-​of-​the-​mill gym. When you sign up, you are getting more than just a workout, you are getting a support system, and a family of fitness-​minded people who care so much about helping you achieve your ultimate fitness goals.
The atmosphere is so chill and positive — I swear I would just stop by to hang out for 6 hours every day (if that wasn’t weird). Francine and Betzy are amazing — they know their stuff and will get you in tip-​top shape. It’s always a fun and creative workout. The group sessions are great — they are mainly 4 person groups where you get to build friendships and encourage each other to push limits and crush goals.
Jason will help you hone in on your nutrition. He’s brilliant and listens to your needs while helping you shape your body into the body of your dreams.
Everyone is so warm and positive, and there because they love what they do. Give it a shot. It’s one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done.
