Bogart Yogurt

Nice shop location (it’s walking distance from the beach!, super friendly crew (5 stars) and outstanding pricing. Of the several yogurt flavors available they have two sugar-​free flavors available. This shop also offers cookies (soft and chewy deliciousness) that are baked fresh in the morning. Arrive early if you’re buying cookies as the best flavors sell-​out quickly. I personally haven’t been lucky enough to try the lemon or pumpkin yet. So far, my faves are the oatmeal chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin and chocolate chip. Even if you’re not a conehead like me, visit just for the cookies.

Coffee lovers shake… yum! Yum! Nice little place. All of the yogurt I sampled was great. It was hard to decide.

If you know yoghurt this is the place to go. Extremely good… Also their fat free and sugar free selection is amazing. Killer cookies as well :)

I used to go to this place alot and thought it was high quality, great service and good prices. After not going in for a few months, I went in last weekend. The place had been redecorated and the yogurt was not very good. It was super soft, almost melted to liquid and just didn’t taste as good as I remember. I also thought maybe (I could be wrong about this) that their prices went up, which I wouldn’t begrudge them (hey, they deserve to get paid) if the product was good. Surprisingly dissappointed in this development.

Usually I am not a fan of someone serving and putting my toppings on my yogurt but this place is tasty! Try it out they also have 75 cent cookies that are greeeaaat

Great stop in for locals late or early as there is usually only one girl in the so it’s nice to cruise in when it’s slow.

This yogurt shop has been around way before the fad of yogurt shops caught on and it still has the best tasting yogurt. It doesn’t have that fake weird aftertaste like a lot of the other shops and the price is better! I will def come here anytime in PB! I had the plain vanilla with Reese’s and caramel and it was delicious

I lived in PB back in 2002, and discovered this gem on my walk home from the beach. Nowadays I come back to town every so often, and this is one of my must-​stops. I realize the business has changed hands, but the quality of the yogurt (tons of flavor options, never icy) and staff remains top notch. In a time of make-​your-​own yogurt this spot stands tall, and makes me appreciate having someone else mix in the Reese’s!

If I could give them no stars then I would.
This was my first time coming in so I took some time looking over the menu. I found a drink I liked but wanted to make an adjustment and add bananas to it, but they were out. I found this kind of odd. I asked the girl to make it as a smoothie and she ended up making it into a shake. When she handed it to me I told her specifically that this is not what I wanted and asked her to make what I ordered. When I asked, she snapped a big old «UGH!» and rolled her eyes. As she was going to make me a new drink another customer walked in. She took it into her own hands and decided she would help the new customer first because my drink would take longer to make. Excuse me? Maybe if she made it correctly the first time, then this would not be an issue!
This girl does NOT belong in customer service. I wish I remembered her name, but I do remember she was a shorter girl with red hair and I think green eyes. Get that girl out of there if you know what’s best for your business.
By the way, it didn’t turn out to be good at all. Not worth the trouble.
In the meantime I will just continue going to YogurtLand.

This is my new favorite yogurt spot! We were yogurtland addicts, but after tasting the froyo here we probably won’t be going back that much. I’ve never had a mint yogurt I’ve liked, but the one here tastes like mint chocolate chip ice cream. We’ve tried Heath bar, raspberry pomegranate tart (my other favorite), raspberry tart, and vanilla (the other best one) and they’ve all been amazing. The only thing we like better at Yogurtland is the peanut butter. My boyfriend thought it tasted like nothing while I thought it had a weird paint chip taste?! Not sure what’s going on there.
Also, Yogurtland has better toppings obviously. If I had to make one suggestion to improve upon would be to get Captain Crunch. But we’ve been talking about buying our own for a while since Yogurtland’s is usually stale anyway. All in all, very nice place and the workers are super sweet. I tried a lemon cookie too; although good, I prefer a tiny bit crispier than gooey.

Extra slow service, but it’s a tad closer (and on the way) to my house so it’s convenient. Also, if you pay cash, it is SLIGHTLY cheaper than Yogurtland. I prefer Yogurtland for the extra flavors… you can only choose up to 3 with a small size here.

Really good quality yogurt! It’s not like Yogurtland which flavors are more sugary and artificial tasting? Another plus is that most of the yogurt here is non-​fat! And they rotate their flavors every day.
The workers here are also really nice and friendly! Always have a smile on their faces and it seems like they really like their job.
The only downside is that this place isn’t self-​serve. But that’s okay because the quality is on point!

Good yogurt, cheap enough, better because they have rewards to earn free froyo! The people who work there are always nice and the froyo is good.

What happened to Bogart? There used to be a line out the door, but no more. The new owners gave it sort of a facelift, but if you look closely it really needs a DEEP clean. The toppings look like they’ve been there for decades, dirty floors, messy tables. Yogurt is still fine but they need to step back and look at it from the customer perspective… yuk. Hope they fix it…

**UPDATE: I was notified in June 2014, that Bogart no longer sells Biff’s cookies.
Long before all those trendy self-​service chain frozen yogurt shops, there was Bogart Yogurt, a (still) family-​owned operation that opened in PB approx 20 years ago. No frills, order at the counter, but definitely hits the spot when you want a cold treat for not a lot of money.
Nearly all the flavors are fat free and you can sample them. The red velvet (not fat free but still somewhat low fat) was absolutely delicious. And it was just over $ 2 for a pretty great sized portion.
They also offer Uncle Biff’s Cookies (famous in Hillcrest), and have samples out to try. I believe the staff member told me they get the dough brought in and then bake it on site, but I could be wrong.
TIP: located inside a shopping center, so no hunting for parking!

Flies eating the cookies!!! I went there with a friend from Chicago and I was raving about how great their cookies are, until I walked in and saw a bunch of flies eating the very cookies I was going to purchase. Gross! When I asked if they had anything fresher coming out soon, the woman said «that’s all we have, those are fresh».
I hope the owner reads this review, and gets an enclosure with doors so the flies stop eating my cookies… I expect flies on my food when I travel to 3^rd world countries, NOT in pacific beach.
Owner: please post when you have such an enclosure, I want to eat your cookies.

Rated the best yogurt shop in PB 5 years running, you can get Carbolite soft serve here at only 8 calories per ounce! They switch up their flavors every few days, so one week you may score some Caramel
Dream and Chocolate Obsession, and the next be delighted with a Lemon Crème and Chocolate and Peanut Butter pairing. For those of us who lack proper portion control, each half cup serving weighs in at only 4g of carbs, 42 calories and less than 1g of fat per half cup serving. So have two servings! Remember to ask for just a spoonful of toppings instead of a scoopful though since that is where this light treat can easily move into dangerous territory. Bogart Yogurt knocks it out of the park compared to the other places with non-​fat flavors but tons of sugar in every bite!

I didn’t like this place at all.
They had two sugar free flavors that had absolutely no taste (the sugar-​free yogurt at Rockie’s is much better), their portions are VERY small and the female owner behind the counter told my friend and I that we were «pushing it» by asking for more than two samples (at which point we told her that this was our first time and we wanted to make sure we got flavors we would enjoy — we tried 3 each).
The only positives were:
–the prices (but the portions are small so it’s really not relevant)
–their watermelon yogurt was very tasty and exploded with flavor.
Overall: Definitely not worth the drive to PB.
Rockie’s in Kearny Mesa and Paradise Yogurt in Mission Valley have better tasting low-​calorie frozen yogurt alternatives/​options.

BOGARTS!!!
This is like the O.G. Fro Yo place in PB. I mean it was here before people started calling frozen yogurt fro yo.
While I’ll admit I’ve been taken by the fill your own and weigh method, nothing beats a Bogart Yogurt.

It was chilly last night, for San Diego standards. Still, it apparently wasn’t chilly enough for me to pass up a frozen yogurt craving on the walk home from an early dinner at Firehouse. Bogart Yogurt did the trick!
Cute little place in a cute little plaza on an otherwise sad-​looking section of Grand Avenue. Serve-​yourself frozen yogurt (with typically more toppings than actual yogurt) is my and my boyfriend’s go-​to gluttonous treat splurge. It has been a long time – Pinkberrry in Hollywood over 2 years ago, I think – since I’ve had frozen yogurt that wasn’t of the serve-​yourself variety, so Bogart Yogurt was a nice change.
I decided on crème de menthe frozen yogurt with hot fudge topping, which was incredible. (LOVE that they had fat-​free hot fudge!) My boyfriend had cake batter frozen yogurt, which left a bit of a film in my mouth but tasted so yummy that I didn’t particularly mind.

Service was OK, but the employee who helped us – beautiful girl – looked about 2 steps away from suicide. Smile, pretty!
Pricing seemed cheap… but then again I think we’re just accustomed to spending considerably more on frozen yogurt because we’ve been going to serve-​yourself places where we pile on the yogurt and toppings.
A great yogurt shop with an even greater sign near the cash register: «UNATTENDED CHILDREN WILL BE GIVEN AN ESPRESSO AND A FREE PUPPY.»
