Cheeses are good. $ 5 Corkage fee to drink their own alcohol in the store. So if you aren’t going to drink any alcohol with the cheese sandwiches, it’s not to bad.

Awesome store with a cool selection of beer and more! Cool little handy tools, nice store area with growlers to keep your beer nice and cool when you are out and about.
I love how everything is in sections so it’s easier to find the selection you want rather than just cruising around looking awkward. Also, they have Venissimo’s Cheese shop in the back of the store and do pairings of cheese and drinks.

I love the beer selection here and all but the cheese counter is the reason I keep coming back. best cheese boards in town and the staff knows their stuff. I’m not a cheese expert by any means so it’s nice to have them take the guess work out :)

Large Bottlecraft + Venissimo cheese plate: $ 18 for cheese & $ 14 for paired tasters. It’s a little much, but it’s also a meal I would gladly indulge in again, and again, and again.
The beer & cheese pairing is perfect for 2 people, and makes for a really great casual brunch date. They’re a little short on seating here since it is, firstly, a bottle shop, but the tables remain mostly vacant when the shop first opens up.
Everyone working here is incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable. A definite must-​try for beer and cheese lovers! They have a handful of beers on tap so if you’re in the area and stopping by for a bottle, you could have a friendly sip of beer before getting on your way.

Beers, beers and more beers! Stopped by during christmas to grab some local (to us) PDX/​Oregon beers for family as well as a couple San Diego brews to enjoy during our time down there. Only gripe is that not everything is priced.

Based on word of mouth positive feedback, I heard Bottlecraft had a fair decent of beers as well as some beers on tap to drink on the premises. When I walked in, I went straight to look for some bottles to bring back for friends for Christmas gifts. The guy working the register volunteered his help in helping me select the right ones. He recommended the Julian cider and their specialty Modern Times collaboration brew, Comet Rider. Based on the description alone, it looked like a crazy one of a kind brew so I couldn’t say no.
One bonus was that they had mostly all of the Fifty Fifty Eclipse 2015 aged stouts from Truckee, CA. If it weren’t for the fact that I had limited luggage space, then I would’ve gotten two bottles of that as well.
I would have taken a look at the Venissimo cheese as I have a very cheese obsessed coworker but wasn’t sure if the cheese will make it through my luggage intact.
I left Bottlecraft with some good Christmas gifts and with an overall good feeling that they will enjoy their gifts (they did). Thanks Bottlecraft!

Craft beer store containing fridges of various fine Pilsners, IPAs to hefs. They also have wines and brut champagnes. Not to mention they also have olives and pickles on deck.
But what we came for was Venissimo Cheese which is a well established cheese vendor in SD already. The partnership is magnificent because I can come and drink my brew while bry and come and get her charcuterie fix.
Dude working there was extremely helpful. You could tell he wanted to be asked questions and wanted to give recommendations. I was about to buy a raspberry ginger beer (to make moscoe mules) and he outright recommended me another bottle and went and got it for me. Nice to know the guys here look out for you.

After a long afternoon of exploring breweries and taprooms of North Park, it was time to stop by a place that has actual stuff that we can load in our luggage cases to take home to NorCal.
Bottlecraft is situated right in the heart of North Park and not only has an impressive selection of bottles (most of them super fresh), but also offers few tap handles that you can enjoy in the house, and even some food (mostly cheese) pairings to go with that brew. While I didn’t notice any ‘whales’ on the shelves or in the coolers, the selection was more than solid and we had no problem finding some SD liquid souvenirs to take home that we can’t find in our part of the State.
When planing a visit to North Park, Bottlecraft should be included in the plans. Not only is the location awesome but their beer and knowledgeable staff had no problem winning me over. Yey! I’m a fan… indeed!

Well you see, they have this stuff called beer. And they stock it in many pleasing varieties, both bottle and on draft. And the prices are fair, especially considering the high rent location in Little Italy. And they have supplied me with rare treats from around the world! Mostly Belgium. Got me a six pack of Westy 12 once upon a time, even.

North Park Beer Crawl!
While it’s been long-​established now that San Diego is a craft beer Mecca, a more recent development has been the emergence of North Park as a craft beer Mecca within the craft beer Mecca. On a recent weekend trip down to SD from NorCal, I made the rounds of North Park’s burgeoning craft beer presence.
Man cannot live on draft beer alone. OK, that’s not true, at all. But 3 taprooms into an epic North Park Beer Crawl with the homebrew partner, we decided to mix things up a bit & hit up a bottle shop for the 4^th stop. It wasn’t a huge stretch. Bottlecraft is only around the corner & 2 blocks over from our previous stop at Hess Brewing.
Bottlecraft has lots & lots of bottles & cans of many, many beers. Naturally. They’re a bottle shop. But they’ve mixed things up a bit, too. There’s also a beer tasting area, a cheese/​charcuterie section for pairing with beer, & 4 beers available on tap with or without cheeses specifically paired for each beer. There’s a bunch of different ways to enjoy your beer at Bottlecraft.
Staff was friendly & very knowledgeable of craft beer. After a lengthy amount of perusing their inventory, some tasting, & some bottle purchases, it was time for the North Park Beer Crawl to continue on. Bottlecraft was a nice change of pace & definitely has its place alongside the taprooms & breweries of North Park.

Craft beer for days.
They have it in bottles, cans, and even six packs. You can also build your own pack of beers or just grab a few bombers on your way to Bird Park where you can kick back and sip a beer while staring at downtown or the ocean on super clear day.
The fellas who work here are very knowledgeable and will help you out with any beer related questions; whether you’re looking for a specific brewery or a new style of beer, these dudes have you covered.
They recently opened up a deli in here as well. You can buy a few beers to enjoy with your meats and cheeses, which is the plan for my next trip to San Diego.

Oh the decadence! Wow this place is amazing. Their beer and cheese pairings are incredible. I’ve never been a big cheese guy but they make it very laid back and unpretentious, very comfortable setting. their beer selection would make any beer fan drool over the variety… The cheese is always delicious and they do a wonderful job of educating the customer about each cheese. Aside from the selection, their staff is soo awesome. Gene gave me tons of valuable background information about the beers I was having and went above and beyond to make sure my wife and I were takin care of. This place rocks. Will be back weekly

My family and I were just walking around North Park. We happened to step in Bottlecraft just to look around. The people who were working there were very helpful and nice. They have many packaged craft beer and specialty cheeses. You can try the cheese you are interested in buying. Or you can buy sandwiches or cheese boards. They even offer beer pairings with cheeses which is a great change from wine and cheese. Love this place!

Customer service blows. If you’re not white or dont have a beard you will be probably be ignored. Girl at the cheese counter was short with her answers and had this look upon her face as if to say «please dont ask me any more questions about bottle craft because I have no idea what I am doing here» thanks for making a cool concept of craft beer and cheese totally unsatisfying with your lame customer service. The dudes at my local liquor store have the same beers, way more charisma and don’t act like a bunch of stuck up hipster elitists.
Everybody sells craft beer now. Y’all aren’t special.

So I’m not a big beer guy and I don’t know what IPA is or any of the beer language. I only came in here because of the cheese shop but I’m always willing to try some beer so that’s what I did. I told the guy how I really didn’t know much about beer and he helped me. They have a huge refrigerator of bottles and cans of beer so huge you could spend about 30 minutes looking around. There are also a few beers on tap so I decided to go with the Crazy Ivan on tap which I liked but I would like to try something different next time. This is a nice little spot so I will be back for beer and cheese.

Arguably the beer shop with the most collection of beers with close rivals of Bine&Vine and KNB.
What separates Bottlecraft from Bine&Vine is the addition of cheese vendors by Vennisimo, several beers on tap, as well as those delicious cupcake courtesy of Pubcakes. So, Bottlecraft definitely have an edge to Bine&Vine for that.
What separates Bottlecraft from KNB is the fact that it specializes in beers, so they are definitely a bit more of an expert when it comes to beer. They also sell merchandises, and I do love my Bottlecraft T-​shirt! Props to whoever design the logo!
In terms of prices, it’s quite similar to Bine&Vine and KNB. I rotate buying beers to these 3 places depending on where I am going or coming from pretty much.

Concept = great. Execution = horrible.
Long story short, my brother ordered a month of the Beer Club as a birthday gift for my husband in early April. It’s now mid-​May and after several repeated attempts to chase down said Beer Club membership, we still have no beer. I’m sure the beer selection is superb, but when you can’t actually get it, it leaves a lot to be desired. Shape up Bottlecraft! An awesome birthday present idea has just gone bad because of poor follow-​through on your part.

Found this gem when I was exploring North Park. Had a cheese monger in the back. Tons of beers, guaranteed you’ll be able to find something you like or want to try. They offer refrigerated and non-​refrigerated beers. They have some beers on tap to taste (yesterday it was from Alpine brewing) or for small corkage fee you can drink whatever they have for sale in their little drinking area– I did this.
They have some munchies. And the guy that was working there– Shawn, was extremely amiable and helpful. Ended up going home with a couple of cans of beer and a wooden cheeseboard.

Bottlecraft’s beer selection is so out-​of-​control, I’m getting kind of drunk just thinking about it. The prices are kinda high (to be expected in a boutique booze shop), but I wish I had enough cash left over to buy some dairy goodies from the Venissimo Cheese counter in back. In any case — L’chaim!

HIpsters tend to bug the cr*p out of me at times because some of them are so misguided and are quite honestly posers. It’s the PB guy who woke up from his «bro fest» one day and decided to lose about 40 lbs, squeeze into his sister’s skinny jeans and move to North Park. Yes those pretentious types bug me.
Real hipsters, in their natural habitat, eg. a book store, a shop that sells vinyl, a thrift store, a brewery, a bike shop, quietly working out at the gym bustling around the library glancing through paperbacks. then okay.
He called out to me this afternoon in a cheery tone of voice: «let me know if you have any questions!!!» as I marched hell bent on visiting my favorite cheese place Vennisimo who have JUST opened up in the back of Bottlecraft my new favorite store.
I am not a beer quaffer but from the looks of things at this place, they are a smaller cousin to this place in the City that Frank and I visit twice a year:
Lot’s and lot’s of beer — although unlike City Beer Store, they mostly carry local (that’s okay) and Belgium beers (that’s okay too.) Hops kill my stomach so I rarely drink beer any longer but for you beer sexy’s: this is your place. I honestly do not know how you all fit in those skinny jeans and those tight dresses after drinking craft beer but more power to you.
I am amazed at all the offerings here, Ballast Point Bloody Mary mixer which I ADORE, PUB CAKES!!! MIsty has a fridge with her beer based rouge beery dreamy cupcakes there and VENNISIMO.
LIke I said, a hipster in his natural habitat is actually okay with me, the gentleman behind the register was as sweet as he can be and very, very helpful and friendly.
They keep up this level of customer service and offerings in their store and they will all be millionaires and we will all watch them on «The Street» on CNBC some day.
There are some really good beer, cheese and Pub Cakes happening here and these folks are going to be a huge hit in this neighborhood. I know that I will be back.
